i agree my hands also get insanely grimey and i cant stand the slick plastic. it just tends to transfer to the surface 1 scratching it up and 2 making it feal wierd.

NEW W90 on its way to me RIGHT NOW!! Be here tomorrow... cant wait!!
-
Also... I completely removed the foam and "void" sticker from the processor heatsink purposely to see what would happen, and they still replaced everything.
ASUS is the way to go. -
-
-
-
My logic was... Its brand new, lets see how much of a hassle they will give me. I had a drop-net if something went wrong.
RMA'd my old one because of the flickering and a little distortion in the top left corner of the display, and knew they would give me a new one, just had to wait to RMA it when the replacements were available. If they gave me trouble I knew how to wiggle my way out of it.

-
I could barely understand the rest of the voicemail as it was broken english. This must have been the note the tech left about it.
So apparently, someone tampered with my W90. -
-
-
-
Curios as to what was the point of removing the Sticker and sponge ? they would have replaced your unit because of the screen just like they had mine . I had distortion as well , wavy lines on the left hand side of the panel and it was causing me massive eyestrain .
-
man, i wish i had a job so i could afford the qx9300. lol. i wanna play fallout3 on ultra settings... VICIOUS, did you try fallout 3 with your w90 before you RMA'd it? -
-
I wish i could afford a W90 period , i miss mine alot already and is actually making me not want to come around here anymore as it just makes me think about it more then i care to . Nothing in the future is looking like ill be able to afford another so at this point i need to quit aggravating myself by hanging here . -
-
-
Call me crazy, but I just wanted to put their customer service/loyalty to the test.
Anyway... my test was passed and I shall stick with ASUS in the future. (As if i were going anywhere else) -
Kimdoo, you'll be playing on ultra settings so i wouldn't fret to much more about it. -
-
Ok then Crazy shall be your new name , you may need to message a moderator for that name change but i think its more fitting for you. -
-
i probably will upgrade to the qx9300, anyways, when i find a job. -
"MAN TIHS IIS BS, ASUS VOIDED MUH WARRANTEYZ BECUZ I ACCIDENTLY RIPPED THE STICKA!!! SCREW ASUS... CAN YOU GUYS BELIEVE THAT????
" -
.
-
LOL!!! that is an I CAN HAZ CHEEZBURGUR quote!!!
-
HAHA thats funny
-
If they decided to void my warranty, I woulda sucked it up. I take my shots. Although, my persuasion skills are pretty impressive, so I dont think it would have come down to that anyway. -
haha, i remember once when i bought my DS light from best buy... i opened it and the hinge was cracked. i tried returning it to best buy and they gave me such a hard t ime about it, they even accused me of dropping it (which WOULD have voided my warranty.) luckily, a manager came around and knew about the issues with the hinges cracking and replaced it instantly. -
I had bought a TV from them that wouldnt fit into my car in the box, so I took it out of the box to put it in the car only to find out that the base was cracked, and the remote was missing. They tried to say that they would not refund me because they thought I dropped it when taking it out of the box... but they didnt realize that THEIR associate did all they work and the TV never touched the ground. After two managers and 1.5 hours I was able to get my refund. Never again.
Asus is top notch... and when I put them to the test, they passed... SUMMA CUME LAUDE -
is it possible to "hook up" the bluetooth in the wireless card with a 3g phone to get internet access?
-
Depends on the phone, but its possible.
-
on a similar note, i have a funny story about sam's club. when i was working at wal-mart, like 3 years ago, there was a sam's club right across the street... well, during the day our store got news of a robbery in progress at sam's club. some genius reversed his pick-up truck into the entrance of sam's club, jumped out, tried to lift a plasma tv into his car (BY HIMSELF), realized he couldn't do it, ran back to his truck and tried to drive away... but guess what? his car was STUCK. haha. -
i am thinking about getting the nokia n97 when it comes out, but i had so much trouble with the n95... the screen broke twice, the frame scratched easily, and the gps system wasn't that great... -
and i think this is just your way to see 2 guys kiss. haha.

What planet are YOU from?!!?
FTR - No bickering between us. Everyone has their opinions and ways of going about things... I just go about things a$$ backwards, and kimdoocheol just happened to speak on it.
edit: no homo in the above statement... lol -
and my comments to orion had no harsh intent, or criticism.. i was just messin' around.
so orion, when is your w90 supposed to arrive? i'm guessing if they are shipping out your unit soon, it is almost certain that there will not be a futher delay with gentech or xotic. -
-
the point of this rant?
tmobile sucks, both in the uk and the states. -

plus rep for orion! i would have and have done the same thing..just to prove a point. and with all the w90 issues they we're having...yeah right on NOT accepting it.
people are bad flashing cards and they are still rma'n them. so asus is not as touchy as poeple would like the rest of the world to think. -
MYTHBUSTED. -
we under stand you input on warranty and that's find and dandy, but i have rma'd quite a bit more stuff than you have. and just because you think that way, doesn't mean the rest of the world does. end of story!. -
Woo Hoo! Got the laptop back from Ken today. Qx9300 is SMOKING fast.
Blew through 3dMark Vantage and even beat my desktop score. Nice!
I also received some 4gb chips today. Has anybody installed ram themselves? A search for a W90Vp ram installation guide turned up nothing.
I did take out the battery, and removed two screws on the bottom (one just to the right of the subwoofer and the one parallel to it on the other side). Does that panel come off at this point? I didn't want to try to force it. Page 49 of the user manual isn't very useful.
Anyway I'd appreciate any tips.
Thanks
