So I'm back, didnt see anyone post the happy "I ordered mine from Egg" yet, so I'm not that angry.... Quad, share some happy thoughts about your W90 :) Tell us that it runs Crysis on super high with 93FPS and never drops below 80 :)

Lol wish i could my friend but i have my work cut out for me until i get an understanding of how these ATI drivers work. To many years of Nvidia so this is going to take some getting used to . But so far the machine is very nice, its built like a brick **** house :) Overclocked to 17% and got a 15324 3d mark
nothing special yet but its a start . Most of all no dead pixels that i can see or find /happy dance .

Well, so long as it balances the W90 well enough... that's fine.
But yeah a 2nd stand could be needed and maybe some cross braces too :D

Hmmm my Asus software on my X1 only allows me to go up to 15%? Why wouldn't they be the same?

Yeah it's a 40" Sony Bravia "Z". I run it off my desktop PC.
At some point I'll have to try hooking up the W90 to it.

I just installed Synergy the other day so now I only need to use one mouse and keyboard across both computers. Excellent bit of software IMO!

Well the A1's only clock up to 5% with a Qx9300 atm so i figured it is based entirely on the processor you have installed, but since he has the same Proc it should be the same i would think.

    Yup indeed it's 1080p 120Hz.
So long as your PC can handle 1920x1080 res. Gaming shouldn't be a problem.
I certainly have no slow-downs gaming on it :)

Like others out there I am going nuts waiting. :)

In the meantime I am looking for a decent HDTV/Cable compatible tuner for it. Currently I am leaning towards the AVerTV Volar Max, but I have never had one before so I am flying blind. Any suggestions?

I still do not agree with any reason to turn them off, mind you I have a P5Q with a q6600 and I have a rock solid 3.6ghz overclock that is stable with all 4 cores at 100% for hours on end.

When I left it enabled I had some crashes with monitoring applications, I can't remember which ones. With it turned off, I'm stable. Glad yours is solid but I know it didn't work completely on mine and there are other tales around the internet of similar situations.

Anyone have a screenshot of this 1080p Very High Crysis run that shows 30fps? The one on Xotic's forum only shows 21fps, but I've seen a 30fps run referenced in several topics.

Kevins offical review of the X1 states 30fps and has a screen shot of it.

However keep in mind Crysis varies greatly depending on the stage your on and what is happening around you. If I remember correctly the snow stage was the lowest fps and almost nobody will bench it since its later in the game.

The best thing to do is run the benchmark and loop it 3+ times and take the average. Then post the low, avg, high numbers.

I'll do this for sure but probably somebody will beat me too it.

nice i'll check it out. though I plan to bench the first crysis not warhead since thats the one I own, also its supposed to be less optimized so should give us a worst case situation.

I played through warhead and did not like it as much as the first one.

i'll have every game I used in the g50v review and that was like 10 or so games + a few others possibly.

    wprime
    3dmark06
    3dmark08
    geekbench
    hdtune
vista wei - lol i know

it will be broken down into 4 or 5 games + apps pure stock drivers & settings.

Then everything will be optimized with overclock & drivers (if I manage to change the drivers) and done again so you can see the gains.

Thats the plan for the basic review, then I will probably revisit with Windows 7 results to see if they are higher/lower for 4 - 5 games again + apps.

Add the usual massive photo shoot and write up that could pass for a college essay and call it a day (or more literally a week or two)

Ok, so if I can get the NewEgg model (A1 I believe) actually ordered I will be happy. Can someone take a photo of this think next to something for reference lol, like another laptop or hell even next to your iPhone. I am just curious about size is all. I have found the second HDD i want (7200 RPM 500GB Seagate) and I cant find any bluray players from places I am comfortable purchasing from online (tigerdirect, newegg etc) anyone have any ideas of where I can pick one up from? Congrats on getting your machines guys, looking forward to getting mine in the future (cmon NewEgg, get them in stock already!!)

Just make sure the one you get is 12.7mm and uses the S-ATA interface.
