    Quite decent.
TBH you should reach about 13800 graphics score with that config.
HyperX + OC + external + vBIOS 155W is highest performance combo (top score are about 14000 graphics score)

Not really... I am using Armory Crate + MSI Afterburner together.
After booting system choose your armory crate profile (manual for example) and then apply profile in Afterburner.
In result u get Armory Crate fan preset + afterburner clocks.
Only thing to keep in mind that will last to reboot/shutdown (needs to be re-applied every boot).
I'm fine with that - 350 MHz OC on memory and 130-180-115 MHz (curve) on Core

Test done with an external screen and manual fans is cpu/gpu at 100%.

So your data is consistent with mine.

Our default ram kit is just not so bad/good xD.

    Hello,
As I'll never use 155 MSI VBIOS or more, here's my best Time Spy score.
    - 125W+5W MSI VBIOS
    - 64GB CL20 HyperX
    - External monitor (USB-C)

    Score :

It seems the 125W+5W MSI vbios is still allowing the GPU to pull 165W, otherwise your score would not be as high as it is.

The 200 MHz base clock offset that you set for the GPU is that useable when you are gaming? Have you experienced any problems with games crashing when using a base clock rate of 200 MHz?

125+5W vBIOS from MSI works like 155W - it removes TGP limit soooo... you are working on 150+W TGP now. Probably heat difference comes from clocks frequency (higher on 155W).

Has anyone tried the s17 vBios? It seems like the smaller tdp increase could be a good option.

Can the scar 15 handle the increased temps from the 155W vBios flash without needing any repaste/other modifications to the cooling? What temps are you getting?

I have stock thermal paste and tried the Ge66 and 155w vbios and was getting very similar temperatures on each. Timespy would look okay but running games the GPU would get up to 86 so I believe it was throttling. This was at max fans too.

You have to downgrade bios to 315, because 320 bios is messed up. ( i got throttling on this new bios and i downgrade and now is perfect ). If you have still high tmp you can undervolting gpu like that : https://ibb.co/j6L47PN [IMG]

Awesome, thank you! I followed your advise and it looks like I’m getting better temperatures on the stock vBios. I’ll try flashing again when this heat wave is over. I think my office is too hot.
Does everyone recommend the 280w power supply for both the ge66 and ge76 vBios?

    Hello,

Can you send me the ASUS G533QS 315 BIOS Update.exe (or the one you flash with a USB key) please ? Can't find it anywhere (searched on Asus site first, only 319 and 320 are available for download).

I'd like to give it a try with GE76 VBIOS.

    Many Thanks !

    Hi there,

Can someone explain me the reason why BIOS 320 is a mess ?
Finally fount it on this thread, flashed it, no difference in ben for me..

My 15" G533QS seems to give its best with the MSI 125W+5W VBIOS :

What do you mean by this: "GE76 Vbios won't run with manual set at max"?

Both of your benchmark images show the fans running at the same speed which is 6600 RPM.

Also, your MSI 125W+5W benchmark score is higher because you have the Base Clock Offset set to 200MHz. While you have the GE76 vbios set much lower to 150MHz. The same for the Memory Clock Offset. You have it set lower for the GE76 vbios benchmark.

Also, I am using the 320 bios and I have not experienced any problems.

When using the MSI 155W vbios just lower the base clock offset setting in Armoury Crate to 162 MHz and you should not experience any problems with artifacts or games crashing. You can also lower the GPU's temperature by limiting the FPS for all your games to 60 or 70 fps.

I don't recommend you buy the 280W power adapter for 2 reasons. The 1st reason being that the 280W power adapter will most likely not be genuine (it will not be a genuine Asus power adapter). And secondly because the 280W power adapter is not necessary. The 240W power adapter that comes with the laptop works perfectly with the MSI 155w vbios. I have been using the 240W Asus power adapter with the 155W vbios for 6 months under heavy usage and heavy load. Mainly playing very graphically demanding games at either max settings or near max settings at 2560x1440p or 3840x2160p resolution and I have not experienced any problems.

What is your Vbios version 130W ?? (you have huge performance on stock vbios, a little weird)

I was playing Days gone and on 320 bios i had 90 degrees on cpu and 86 on gpu, , on 315 bios i had 82 on cpu and 80 on gpu :D

Hi. I downgraded from 320 to 315 and the temperatures are the same.
85 in 4k and 80-82 in 2k in the notebook with 100mhz gpu OC.
    Did you do something different?

    Hello all !

    I need your help... I have MSI 125W+5W VIOS. (15" G533QS)

Since a few days, a lot of red artifacts when running Time Spy. Today, same artifacts but this time Time Spy fails in GPU test 2.

Also, I've noticed a 400 points less for the CPU score. Higher temp is 97°C :(

My office is climatized, so my failing scores or decreased scores are done with the same office temperature as the 12971 Time Spy score.

What's changed is just the Armoury Crate update, and bios 321 (reflashed 320, with no help or fixes).

AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT FACES THOSE BAD ISSUES ?

If you have a fix, please LET ME KNOW.

    Best

Can anyone give me the 15" 315 BIOS to give a try as regards temps ?

    Thanks in advance !

    Hi.
I had the red line problem when i used OC GPU more than 125mhz. Check if you are in manual and desactivate the GPU OC.
    Which vbios are you using?
I use msi ge66 155w and got 75-80 max in 2k with OC and 85°c in 4k with GPU OC with full fans.
11900 point with Optimus and 12700 with display port cable.
The first, return to your original bios and check if your problem is ok.

    Hello and thanks,

The main issue is that 2 weeks ago with MSI 125W+5W VBIOS I had no issue at all, manual, fans 100%, GPU OC at max, memory OC at max... you can check my score...

As I said, my office is climatized (21.5°C-22.5°C). So 2 weeks ago and now, temperature was 21.5°C-22.5°C.

So my real question is : why can't I bench now without red stuff and 400pts less for CPU score ?

To answer your question, with stock bios no problems at all : external monitor, 11900 for Time Spy.

Look at this now : Have to reduce GPU/Mem OC :
    Yes :
    - CPU : SPL 80, SPPT 80, fan at full speed.
    - GPU Mem OC : 300 MHz, GPU OC 200 MHz, fan at full speed.
And almost 2 weeks ago it used to rule da world....

Good numbers. Maybe for the stress your gpu was a little damaged, your fans or even the thermals.
Which were your temperatures during that time?
I have 80 with OC in 2k and 85 in 4k with 155W vbios maximum temperatures with full fans, but only 100mhz gpu OC.
In 200gpu OC in got red lines in the screen

I have to let you all know that there's always a lot of dust in my office :(
I could remove dust in the morning and then the office is dusty the next day.

That beeing said, I've noticed since I have my laptop that the CPU fan takes much more time than the GPU fan to get full speed :(

Plus, when I installed my HyperX CL20 memory, there was dust in both fans (had the Asus owned less than 3 weeks...).
I just don't know how to remove dust in the fans. I don't want to send it to repair, I need it all day.
