Well, I tried all three 32bit versions, and media center still says it can't find any tuner hardware :/ Any other ideas? I can't even identify what it is - the module itself just has a barcode and serial number. I'm going to try the XP driver and see what happens :)

Does the W3J have a tuner card built into it?

I'm looking to install Vista x64 on my A8JP but I can't find a driver for ASUS ATK0100 UTILITY. The one on the download page and this thread is only for 32bit Vista. Any ideas on where I can find one for 64bit?

    Thanks

^^^Actually, that's Setpoint 3.3 for Vista. It should be the same d/l for any Logitech mice and/or keyboards.

Well, the Tuner driver for XP (which identified the tuner as the Lifeview FlyTV mini) installed and Vista seemed ok with it, but when I tune in TV with media center it says that the "signal was lost" - which is the same error I was getting in XP, so I think there may just be a problem with the card. The manufacturer only sells this card through OEM, and provides no support.

Anybody know of any replacement cards that might work better? Should I be looking for 'mini pci' cards or what?

I have a Z96Js, and up until installing these ATK drivers, I had every button except the wireless (Fn F2) working. Now none work (well the brightness does, but that's a hardware control). I'm running 32 bit Vista.

Is there anything special I need to do (I installed all four drivers), or should I revert back to the older version I was using?

    Thanks

Has anyone tried installing TPM file on their W3J? I tried installing it and it says that "Trusted Platform Module not found." Does this have anything to do with the 210 Bios on the w3j?

I've been looking for the 64 bit versions of the ATKDrv too as well as the Ricoh Card Reader drivers. These are holding me back from installing the 64-bit version of vista.

Oh good, I'm not the only one then. Can anybody help us out? We need 64bit drivers for the ATKDrv device and the Ricoh Card Reader devices.

Is Asus going to be posting these?

Yes I am sure they will, they are probably too busy of updating all drivers.

Also for W3J owners, I heard the new BIOS for Vista will take a while, won't be anytime soon. :(

Why is it taking them so long? If they have just found out the problem, then thats understandable. But the problem has annoyed, confused, "OMFG...WTF IS HAPPENING TO MY W3J" since the first Vista Beta.

I have a Z96J. I used all the drivers in the first post for the devices I have, but the ATK drivers aren't working. I have some older ATK drivers that do work. As well, my microphone isn't working, and there aren't any webcam drivers yet. Aside from that, everything seems fine.

Not all of them, but as some advice, if you don't know which drivers you need to install, you probably shouldn't be running Vista yet.

Intel INF Update Windows XP/Vista 32/64
ATI Radeon Vista 32/64 (I actually downloaded this directly from ATI, the ASUS one was released before the latest ATI one, which you can get at http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista32/common-vista32.html)
Realtek LAN Vista 32/64 (I downloaded this directly from Realtek)
    Wireless Console Vista 32/64
    Toshiba Bluetooth for Vista
    WLAN 3945 Vista 32/64
    Synaptics TouchPad Vista 32/64
Realtek Audio Vista 32/64 (I downloaded this directly from Realtek)
TPM Vista 32 (I didn't download this, because quite frankly, I have no idea what I'd ever use it for, but Vista has a built in driver for it anyway)
Power4Gear Vista (I didn't download this because Vista lets you customize decent power profiles)
    Ricoh card reader Vista 32-bit

NONE of the following work for me, but you should try them, as they are the latest. I had an older version that worked on Vista, but I can't remember where I got it from.
ATK_0100 for Vista (Thanks to BENDER)
ATKDrv UTILITY for Vista V1043.2.31.100 (Thanks to BENDER)
ASUS ATKOSD2 UTILITY for Win Vista (Thanks to BENDER)
ATK_MEDIA Utility for Win Vista (Thanks to BENDER)

The wireless console doesn't enable/disable my wireless card, but it works fine with Bluetooth. However, even when I had working ATK drivers, I couldn't get the Fn+F2 key to work with the wireless console.

Hey, is there a driver for the hotkeys and the fn functions? Since I upgraded to Vista I've been unable to control the volume using fn + f10-12 on my A8js.

    hey guys,

my volume control on w7j APPEARS to be changing something - but in the vista sound control it appears to only be adjust 'HCONTROL', not the "Device" section.

    Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

I too have been having some problems with my A6Va migrating to Vista.

I'm going to try out the new ATK drivers on the first page of this thread (I am using the XP ones), the ones I'm using can't control the volume. Same situation as zeezz, only "HCONTROL" changes in the sound Mixer...

Frontal media keys aren't working also. What should I use for those?

Apart from that, 7.1 Catalyst drivers don't work with this notebook (ATI X700). Since 6.11 for XP till now with 7.1 for Vista, every time I try to install the ATI drivers, the notebook just enters an infinite reboot loop when I install them. I had to revert to the "Microsoft" ATI drivers Vista had installed. Do the ones on the first page work ok?

Splendid and ATKOSD2 also don't work (same problems you have been having, probably needs a BIOS upgrade)

Also, I have an unknown device on my Device Manager, called "Base System". Digging for some information, the "Physical Device Object Name" reads "NTPNP_PCI0016". I never had that appearing with XP. Any guesses on what that could be? Maybe the frontal media keys? Or the IrDA port? [EDIT] Ok, I solved this one. It is part of the Ricoh card reader. Only the SD reader drivers come with Vista, it seems. Now it's everything OK with the hardware (except the graphics adapter driver conflict and the WLAN issue - I'll have to RMA the notebook for that, it's getting harder and harder to connect to ANY wireless network... :S) [/EDIT]

Thank you very much for your help. This is a very nice "driver repository".

    Cheers.

    Miguel

P.S.: For those with this notebook, Vista recognized most of my hardware, including the firewire port and (part of the) card reader. I had to install the sound [EDIT] and card reader drivers [/EDIT], though.

I still have the hotkey problem but it's not really important
(BIOS 211 is not yet available for F3JM are you sure A8JS & F3Jm are the same?)

The new ATK drivers (the ones listed in the first post) don't work on my Z96J either. Drivers that were released in December worked fine, but I deleted them when I downloaded the new ones, and I can't find them anywhere.

Thanks to you guys and this thread I have EVERYTHING working with my W3J except my wireless. If anyone knows how to fix that PLEASE PLEASE send me PM!

Well I'm also missing splendid and such but I never used it anyways so I guess it's for the better.

Vista is much better than I expected actually. The only bugs I've encountered so far is IE7 crashing every once in a while and that seemed to happen with XP too so kudos to M$

Anyone have all the Z96J drivers on a separate server? I can only get Asus's site to go at like .6 kb/s and is going to take 24 hours+ to download just one of the files...
