Got my Email last night and the tracking number already works, coming from CA............

 

Yeah, I really need to bug them.

 

Wierd. I just went to the site to see my status, and then went into my email to see what my order number was and I had an email with my tracking number. The email literally had to have been sent 30 seconds after I went to check the status.

 

Got my confimation e-mail with tracking number, too. Funny thing is that the order is for the laptop I had to exchange because of problems at boot. Never sent the proof of purchase on that one because of the big "EXN" the gal at bestbuy wrote on the receipt.
The other "legit" order is still in "fulfillment in progress" status.
All in all, I guess I'm going to get 2 copies of Windows 7

yeah, no. i haven't gotten the email yet, im in the fulfillment stage, not pending.

 

I'm in NJ and it is now going to the RPF in NY. So it is on its way, I now have four machines to upgrade from the RC to the official release. I am undecided on the fourth machine as to get another HP or Ultimate........

 

Im in Nebraska and it just to the RPF in CA.

 

The RPF where my package is, is about 1 hour from where I live. Should I get in the car and go knock at their door?

Well, I only have one Asus machine... this one, but I'm getting 2 copies of Windows 7 and I can use the other one to upgrade my wife's computer, but I don't know if this copy of Windows 7 will install on a machine without a Asus bios.

 

I know it gives you an Asus theme, not sure if it is an Asus only. Since I don't have SLIC 2.1 and it intalled it may not be bios restricted. Then again it may be.

Side Note;
Although it doesn't seem to have helped 3DMark 2001 se, I was only getting 3.4 on the WEI gaming, I installed a Vista 64 version of the Intel video driver and went down to WEI of 2.0 in gaming then let windows update install the video upgrade and now WEI gaming is now 4.1..........

 

I see. I guess I'll do a test installation on a spare hard drive and see what happens.

Ah guess that explains why I got a shipping confirmation too when I was too lazy to scan and send in my receipt . This will be my second copy of Win 7 I'll be getting (the other with student discount).

please, if there is among you a kind soul, could you make a copy of the drivers cd and upload it to anywhere so I could download it?
My upgrade program has been shipped already, but what I want most is the drivers cd...
Anyway, it will still take maybe a month until my official cds arrive hera (Brasil) so, please, help me?

do you HAVE to install the driver CD that comes with the upgrade? because my w7 is working fine without doing that

 

Is not that you HAVE to install it, but driver cd has an automatic function that installs components easy...
I mean, it is really boring and confusing download all that files and intall one by one...

 

Win7 upgrade and driver discs are sitting in front of me. Time to back up and clean install. Huzzah.

 

I also finally got my 3 copies of W7 from Asus. That drivers disc fixed my problems with the Splendid Utility on W7 retail!! Thank you Asus!!!

 

It also installed the latest Realtek drivers that I could not previously install. Everything is Top notch now. Now I gotta contact($)all my peeps still on Vista who got burned by Bestbuy/Asus on NO free w7 upgrade for refurb G50VT. Life is Good.Oh yeah!! I gotta change my sig now...lol

 

My Win7 is shiiping. But since it took so long, I already bought win7 for the Laptop. Two questions.
1) Can I install the win7 upgrade from Asus on a different computer since I registered my other win7 disk to my Asus laptop?
2) Only issue I have so far on my Asus is when I use the asus gateway(whatever it was called) for the quick boot, it wont use my wireless. I can use LAN but wireless isn't found,and I have the switch on.
