-
This is getting ri****ulous! It's at least been a couple of months now and my orders still says "approved"
-
Nope, i havent heard anything no email no nothing. nice job ASUS! -
Mine as suddenly canceled after i received and email stating i should get the "package" in 4-6 weeks.
Where's my vista? Where's my money? What can i do now?
They ignore emails and phone is not free for my country (for other countries is). I don't want waste more money with them!

-
-

So is it trackable? -
-

-
-

-
In the same day, 2 reasons my order was canceled.
After proving i ordered the right version those **** send me another email, now the problem is no longer the wrong version, but problems with bank...
Not very smart/professional people.
What's next?
-

TAIWAN AUSTRALIA Your item was processed for despatch from TAIWAN - TAIPEI INT at 05:15 on 26 Apr 2007. -
arh!! mine hasn't changed!! still on order is approved and mine is 64 bits!!
-
I'd suggest ringing up and finding out what the hell is going on with your order :S
-
i just rang them lol...they said nothing wrong with my order, i should be received it after the next shipment, wth...so i guess i will get 64bit! yeah!
-
I think they do send them in batches
I know quite a few people got order shipped status at same time -
EDIT: i'm in Sydney too -
i think it is very freaky, as my window xp is 32bit i ordered 64bit and they didn't cancel mine,
-
-
What? you guys can actually recieve 64bit Vista...microsoft and moduslink = unfair.
. Why??? lol. But still they should allow for the 64bit orders to be processed, not to be cancelled. they did not know how much trouble we had to go through to find out what is going on, and to reorder again.
my order is shipped via the taiwan postal service to singapore. they just sent it aboard the flight today heading to singapore. F I N A L L Y. but not a 64 bit vista buisness. -
Hey Guys,
If you want the 64-bit media all you need to do is go to Microsoft and order it. I believe it's about $10USD. The Vista Product Key that you recieve with your upgrade will work with a 64 bit install. I've already done this myself. I bought a Vista Business Upgrade at Costco (Big Box retailer in the USA). It only came with 32-bit media. So, I ordered the 64-bit DVD from MS and installed it using the Product Key from the upgrade. Worked Just Fine!
Good Luck!
JWB -
So could you get a 64-bit CD from some illegal site and use your 32-bit key?
-
Just to clarify, though:
You purchased the Upgrade yourself, rather than received this "Express" upgrade?
Do you think we ("Express" upgraders) would be eligible for this as well?
And how exactly did you order the 64-bit media for $10USD? i.e. what info did they require, was there a particular website/order form, etc... -
My upgrade finally came today. Unlike most cases, it was a sad one as i reacalled how my 64bit order turned into a 32bit and having to reorder for a 32bit media. I see if there are really some "sites" that can allow us to get the 64bit upgrade media, maybe i'll get it from them.
ha, and i was half expecting the casing of the upgrade cd to be like the retail upgrade packaging. how wrong i was.lol
EDIT - My friend got a Vista Ultimate 64bit (full install version retail) and he installed and activated it already, and i'm going to borrow his 64bit media and try and install, then use that full version media to upgrade over it, then activate using my business key. Will it be possible? -
All the media for Vista is exactly the same except for the 32bit and 64bit coming on separate discs. The key that use however determines what version you can use.
Your way should work.
Also my order has arrived in Australia and is awaiting clearance before it can be processed for delivery, so it should hopefully come on monday! -
I'm just really curious. You pay a shipping fee for a dvd which comes with the long awaited key for the version you're eligible.
Can we have another choice, say we pay the shipping fee (or handling fee or whatever), we get our key and download the media off microsoft's server like something in Beta 2. This way it could have been more efficient, and complement the shipping method.
I'm backing up my data now, using my friend's 64bit media soon..will post the result here soon. -

All versions are in one single DVD. Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium /N, Business /N, Ultimate. As Watters said, it's the product key that unlocks the features. think about the key that unlocks your house

System64 i agree with you, I think you should get emailed the cd key and you can pay a little bit of money to recieve some disks but also be able to download

"This is getting more ridiculous as the day goes by. How much longer do you
need to ship my stuff? I already gotten my FREE copy through
www.powertogether.com. And this is the copy I'm actually paying for and yet,
the status has been staying in 'Order is Approved' for couple of months.
What's the problem now?"

Wow that sucks
Time for some extra good news.
Even though the postman doesn't come on saturdays (I assumed it would come with him) a special delivery van came to my house just 10 minutes ago
And guess what was inside!
VISTA!
OK so this current order took pretty much exactly one month, the previous one took 1.5months before it was cancelled.
I am not happy with moduslink's service but I'm happy that I finally got it nevertheless. -
Guys, i apologise to you
. Because of my college work and projects i will have to put it off for at least 2-3 more days before i can test the x64 media. Meanwhile maybe someone with the media can try?
-
ok mine says order received under the status page. Does that mean I still have not been approved for the upgrade? I've already paid and everything so what is the deal? Why is this taking so long.
-
After order received you get order approved (shouldn't take long to go from order received to the next)
After order approved is shipping, I think it took about a week or less for me to get from order approved to order is shipped
Shipping will take about 4 days depending on where you live.
Now, just a reminder to anyone who hasn't received their order yet, if you haven't received it by monday you're meant to notify them (Being May 1) -
Where did u get the x64? Is it your own copy? or did moduslink send you it?
Because I signed up for x64, and they canceled my order and made me go sign up for 32 bit.
