You can get into med school easily if you major in biology. Plus, you're Indian so you're guaranteed entrance.
-
lol nahh i'll take my chances with chem/math, im actually good at that, or at least compared to the ppl in my skool. if only i was allowed to take AP precal as a sophomore, i would start to know what i really want to be..dam skool and there restrictions cuz im a new student!!!
crap its 2am here, luckily i take long naps when i get home cuz i feel tired so i can stay up so dam late. -
ok b4 i start my essay, i got a couple of questions on college, when you go, you bunk with a random or chosen person. 2. do you only take the classes you want? like i dont need history and stuff rite?
sorry idk much about college... -
@ZoeyOs & element : ty 4 replying ....... the rest are just blabbering :S
i guess ill go wit the xpad 4 now ..... if it doesnt work ill haunt soviet & u 4 the rest of ur life

SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
You have to take general ed. Usually that doesn't include history if you took it all in high school. -

lol looks asian/american i think...but on topic i think the xpad isnt as effect is it claims to be. liek it rises the laptop a lil off the floor creating gap to suck air in from the bottom but i do that with erasers and whatnot on my desk and has no effect. the zalman forcibly pushes air meaning it will cool it down better while hot air is thown outta the left side. wouldnt the aluminum heatsink "xpad" be better where the air is going out so it takes that heat away from the laptop? or at least around the hot parts cuz i feel the bottom of my laptop and its not that hot.

Soviet, I don't think I've ever seen anyone edit so many of their own posts.

2. if ur a freshman in univ, then its pretty much how u want it within a 2 yr span but ultimately hv the required courses 4 ur major
if ur a transfer 2 univ frm a community college, then ur pretty much set with a course plan cause u jump right into ur major
And I RECOMMEND goin 2 community college 1st cause that way u save an insane amount of money, I basically studied free & just paid 4 books ..... while univs charge per unit an insane amount, like university of pacific charges $500/unit & up ..... 1 unit is basically 1 hour of class, so im thinking wheres the logic in charging so much for 1 hour of class ?!?!?! thts why most students who 2 univ of pacific are on scholarships
Then again, I'm transferring to UC Davis & there too my fees are all paid 4 plus a lot leftover which would pay 2 months rent
goodluck with ur path ....... -

In the CSU system you need to follow a fairly loose curriculum as an underclassman. I took most of my pre-requisites and major courses first and then my GE later, so I am pretty much finishing school in reverse, haha. I sometimes get weird looks from my professors when they see the only mature person, and senior, in a 100 or 200 class. You will need to take US history later on, but again I am basing this off the CSU. -
haha my parents always told me to stay away from the community colleges, what are they wasting there time and effort for sending me across the globe (born in australia, parents indian, moved to china, now here) from private skool to private skool. if i go to a community college, then basically my parents will hate me, not literally but you get it. like the tuition in china was 25K USD/year, and that was one of the parts of my dad's job was he gets all these expenses paid for if he went there. also, just curious, is college like 30K tuition and about 10-20K housing/books etc? thats what a friend told me...for like decent colleges.
also btw is CSU mean CA colleges?
ok so i kinda understand it, college still requires some courses to be done, but only for a certain amount of years. then you can move onto ur major works. is college typically 4 years? what if you chase a PH.D/masters or something, do you continue even longer and are still regarded a "senior" in college? college doenst have age restriction rite? i could be a slacker and play games all day and live with my parents then go back to college at age 30 to continue my work rite? LOL OFC im not gona do that.
LOL HOORAY 54C while writing essay/this on GPU, 48C on C2Q across all cores. -

Community colleges aren't bad at all. They help prep you for the general college lifestyle, they're tons cheaper, usually closer to home, and they're general classes are the same academic level as a university's (sort of).
Obviously a university will have better support and facilities. -
& thats a wise way to finish skool, do ur pre-requisites 1st & then ur GE ..... atleast im doing it that way too .... heck aerospace eng. prefers it tht way !!! -

I was technically undeclared in my first two years so I was thrown together with anyone. I don't live on campus anymore, but if I still did then yes, I would be paired based on a matchmaking program with another science major.
-
wait, if u dont live on campus, does that mean you either rent/buy an apartment clsoe to college or something? is that mainly because college dorms are expensvie or wat?
-
-
hey, the xena doesnt look very good but what do you guys think of the antec 200?
lol element, ur 3dmark temp are even better with ur higher OC, mine was like 585/950/1525 and i reached 97C while u reach 94 with 610/1550. naice, lol the c2q just gives teh slight points to me tho.wait is that at 3102MHz or 2.44GHz? idk its not clear in ya picture, setfsb says something, cpu-z says something else.

but if u still wana venture into tht mindless, matrix life ..... heres ur answers
since ur dad is gona pay 4 ur tuition (from wat i gather) uve no worries ..... but ya it costs around tht much .... but theres financial aid 2 help u with that
"also btw is CSU mean CA colleges?" ....... im assuming ur asking if CSU stands 4 only CA colleges, wich in that case, yes it does, since its California State University
& college is however long u want it 2 be ...... a prime example, steven spielberg recently graduated aftr 33 yrs since he quit skool 3 yrs into studying .... so he came bk & did some unique stuff 2 finish & attain an undergraduate degree ..... article here http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/1988770.stm ...... so its ur choice totally ...... u can do summers throughtout ur bachelors & finish in 3.5 yrs depending on ur major ....... or usually eng. majors stretch till 5 yrs
& finally someone is called a senior once in their final year of an undergraduate degree .... masters & phD is something else
& i pm'ed u .... & if it makes any difference, im an indian immigrant, 4 yrs in the US so far & not loving it :O -
@SACH7002 it says 3.1GHz in both screenshots in setfsb and in 3dmark...
-
-
o lol my mistake sorry element i was thinking the mult. for 7.5 so i did ur fsb x 7.5 = 2.44GHz. lol im a learning noob. cuz usually CPU-Z is the correct one so...you get it im a nub
im understanding all this crap about college but i dont get the seperation between masters/phD and undergraduate work. Is college meant for undergraduate work, then what happens when u finish college? you pursue liek those 2year/4year study courses in aims to achieve PHd and whatnot?
aight ima srly go to sleep, 2:30 here, wake up at 6:30 everyday :O -
for anyone curious as to the use of the second recovery disc...
-
I'm not even using any kind of cooler since I have no room in my luggage for that.
If I have time today I'll try some other games, or maybe put Wolfenstein on max resolution and see if the GPU temp breaks 90C. -
Played Wolfenstein at 1920x1080 for about 30 minutes, ran smoothly and according to CPUID max temps were 92C/43C GPU/CPU.

I'm seeing 500 MHz and 799 MHz for the two clocks.

That's what I'm seeing under the current reading, if I'm looking at the right spot. Haven't noticed any change yet. I do have a few background applications running, though. But nothing much.

Then PowerMizer, as Soviet helpfully posted, isn't working. Go download it pronto. Your GPU is basically running at 3D clocks in a 2D environment.
-
Hm? Instructions say to change the value data from 3333 to 3322, but mine says 2222.
-
or you could just download the app at the bottom of post one which does everything for you
-
Hmm. It said the operation is not allowed by the security policy. Continue anyway or is that a bad idea? >.>

Continue. 10char
