How many days would it take the status to go from "delivery preparation" to "Shipped"?

 

Current Status: Shipped - delivery today! (Shipped yesterday from NJ)

 

@games_icon I'm not sure but today is the fifth day mine has been in delivery prep

Even my new EDD is 16th Dec. Earlier one was 9th dec.

Mine's now in Warsaw, PL and from there it flys directly to Germany Unfortunately I'm not at home tomorrow so I'll have to pick up myself at UPS on Thursday..

hi im a new user and ordered a dell xps 17 in standard coniguration with the geforce 445 gt 3gb. johnny im german too ( ich bete hoffe etc. das es morgen ankommt )and ups says my notebook is also in warsaw at the moment. i have no experience with ups but is it possible that they deliver my dell until tomorrow( i live in bavaria near munich^^) order date was the 14.11. hope everyone will get his dell soon and i will make a review if someone wants me to check it out. i will play black ops and bad company 2 maybe r.u.s.e. and l4dead2 or mw2.

 

Do you agree that most people are ordering the 15 followed by 17 then 14? I hardly see anyone that ordered the 14.

Ich wohne in Düsseldorf also sollte es auch ganz gut gehen, da die meisten Sachen von UPS eh über Köln gehen glaube ich... Aber morgen kann ich es eh nicht in Empfang nehmen also haben sie noch bis Donnerstag Zeit

Yeah I hope so too... shortly after 9pm it left Warsaw on a direct way to Germany I hope. I live in Dusseldorf which is a good thing cause UPS transfers all the packages vie Cologne

Agreed. I'm one of the few that ordered the 14. But most I've seen is 15, then 17, then 14 like you mentioned.

Also, I think the best 'deals' I've seen are on the 15.

 

I think I would have gotten the 15 if I could have gotten the 445M with it.

Having check quite some of the ordering+shipping dates, it seems as if the production/shipping takes about a week longer for people in the USA compared to Europe.

Couple of euro's here had it ordered, build and shipping in 3 weeks, myself included, where as most of the USA people count up to 4 weeks.

So seems as if diffirent factories produce for diffirent continents.

Maybe I'm wrong though...

 

Mine's out for delivery now (Pretty impressive Dell! 2 Days shipping from Shanghai to Germany without any mistakes. Complete order just took them 15 days) Unfortunately I can't await it at home and have to pick it up tomorrow at ups myself...

yes my laptop arrived today. glad i asked my neighbours to take it for me and in the evening i will get it finally.i bought it on 14/11 and its here on 24/11 so only about 10 days from order to receive it. first thing after installing everything will be playing black ops. edd was 29/11 so im happy like i dont know
as i read the status of ups i nearly got a heart attack but i survived it and now im ready to rock.
i regret everyone who still waits for his dell and i hope they will deliver it soon. ups rocks 3 days from shanghai to the area of munic.

 

Mine's now at the next UPS store and awaits my arrival tomorrow

In the UK: Ordered XPS 17 i7 740QM/ 445m w/ Blutooth and Blu-Ray extra on the 08/11 (EDD 01/12), took 11 days to get too Work In Progress (19/11) and it changed to shipped today 24/11. Total from ordering to shipped has been 16 days.

Edit: The new EDD is 29/11.

Not sure. It doesn't have the 6300 Wireless that seems to be the big thing holding orders up. Maybe because it is a 14 or the i3. Haven't seen to many specs on here for 14s or i3s.

 

But the configuration is small or not? I think that the problem is the number of orders that they are attending

Technically my dad did, so I don't have the exact specs and information, but the important parts are: 15.6" 1080p display, Intel Core i5 560 2.66 GHz, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, backlit keyboard, NVIDIA GeForce 420M with Optimus and TV tuner, 6-cell battery, tray load blu-ray disc combo, Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6200, Dell Bluetooth 3.0.

This is going to be awesome. It's supposed to come mid-December!

oh...now it's going worse then ever...ordered on 4/11 EDD was 12/11....and now today it says order canceled...3 days ago my sales rep told me it'll be out of factory on this Friday...i.e today...but now it is canceled...DELL-INDIA Sucks

 

It's looking like the 15s are shipping quick so hopefully like early December. My 17 took 12 days and was supposed to be 25.
