yeah thats exactly what was wrong with my DW306. Except mine was sent from dell like that. Dell shipped me a panel and i should find out from my tech tomorrow if its the LG or not. My dell rep was super cool and put it in the notes. as well as the repair dude, the lady i spoke with couldnt get ahold of him today but she left a note for him and called me to confirm everything.
So while im pissed a brand new laptop had the backlight broken (which now i know because its what u have) i have been pretty happy with how nice everyone has been. However things can get nasty quick if this isint resolved by the weeks end.

can someone confirm or give me that link that had the FAQ on grainy screens for the 1530, I can't find it, thanks guys
-
Search and do some reading, should keep you busy for a while. -
no I remember a thread that listed the faq on what you should do if you have a grainy screen or if you dont know if you have one etc.... But cant find it, searched everywhere, so hopefully someone can help me, thanks

Well I got my second M1530 yesterday and the screen is the DW LG V2 screen. It's MUCH better than the Samsung.
The downside is that my laptop had finger prints on it, a dented speaker grill and was missing the protective film that usually covers the battery (at least it was there on the other m1530 I received).
Way to go, Dell - for making me feel like I bought a USED laptop. Im getting re-imbursed from oy work for this, so Im not going to waste any more time sending it back BUT when it comes time for a computer for my personal use - it's NOT going to be a Dell. -
Jeff, or anyone, how do I know which screen I have? I tried " Go to System, Device Manager, Monitors, open up the monitor (may be under "Generic PnP Monitor"), look under Properties, click to Hardware ID." and what I got was " says MONITOR\LP010F"
can someone confirm which screen I have, or if im not looking in the right place, can you tell me how to find out. Been asking this since my first post in this thread and it seems no one can give me a straight foward answer. Would greatly appreciate it, thanks -
My experience in a nutshell:
Called Dell because the webcam stopped working. Tech ordered a new panel because panel assembly was damaged when he removed it. Replacement LCD panel sent was a Samsung. I contacted Dell support who tried to tell me that they could only replace "like with like." I explained the panel was defective and that the backlight and graininess needed to be fixed. I explained that I took my 1530 to the Dell store in the mall and compared it to the 1530 on display, and the Dell employees said there was something wrong with mine. Dell support rep asks me if I paid for upgraded screen, I reply yes as I did. Support sends another Samsung. I call and get Customer Care, who wants to replace my entire laptop but will not confirm if new laptop will have an LG screen. New laptop arrives with LG screen but CD eject button doesn't work, and power button isn't set right. Against my better judgement I am keeping this one and having warranty repair fix the CD and power buttons. I got lucky with an LG screen - Dell should have fixed it on first request. The difference between the Samsung and LG is stunning. I no longer get eyestrain or headaches using my laptop.
Bottom line? I've recommended Dell to family, friends, and in-laws for the past ten years or more, citing superior product and support. No more! I will never recommend another Dell product to anyone again. Dell, your product and support is now substandard and you've lost this customer for life. -
whats the dell parts # if i wanted to buy the LG xk309 by myself? US that is
-
-
no no i ment phone # sorry lol i didnt specify.
-
US or Canada?

First time post but I have to thank this thread from saving me a headache! First m1530 I got had the Samsung panel, tried to get it replaced via technician, still a Samsung. I look back in this thread and figure to try and reorder a new laptop, when I discovered they added in the new processors for this model... So, got the processor I wanted and my laptop shipped today... with the LG panel!!!
Thanks guys! You saved my eyes. -
-
seems like everyone getting lg panels now are getting the dw306 panels which have been discontinued. i am not sure why exactly. it seems me and someone else in this thread both had bad backlights on them. I wonder if that is why.

Hi all,
Whoa!!! I was on to ordering my m1530 (just yesterday it has been launched with penryn, in India) with WSXGA+ (1680x1050), but now I'm in dilemma. Should I order one with WXGA+ (1440x900)? At what screen type the chances are least that I'll get a grainy screen? Also the P/N list for Screens seems a little old for now, so if someone please do an update...
A colleague got an m1530 with merom (T7500) a month back, his quotation read XR860 for WSXGA+ and his screen does not look that bad.
Although, one friend of mine got an Inspiron 1420 and his screen UX303 WXGA (1280x800) looked a little grainy to me.
So please guide me, I am about to place an order tomorrow. In India we are always associated with a sales rep. (cant order online directly...) so should I ask the sales rep. about this, before I place my order? -
-
Got my m1530 with the dw306 and it looks fantastic.
-
So I recently got my replacement system that I ordered with a wxga+ display and I got a LG
just like that German Dell Spokesperson promised (see my previous post about that: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=3093580&postcount=1126)
-
15.4 inch Wide Screen WXGA+ TrueLife LCD with 2.0 MO Camera for XPS M1530
just ripped that off my product description page (havnt gotten the computer yet i ordered it 2 days ago) can i tell if i got the craptastic panel from that information or do i have to wait until i get the machine in my hands? -
That looks like a generic descriptor. No part number available?
-
well dell promised me the Xk309 today and said thats the part they ordered and it was in stock etc etc.... long story short samsung. now ive taken 2 days off work.
The guy who was supposed to install it called ordered the XK309, i called to get the part # from the dispatch number and its the xk309. So hopefully tomorrow is the last time i will ever speak with dell until i need a new system (even then i might look elsewhere).
On a side note i plugged my monitor into the laptop and everything else works like a dream and the laptop is so beautiful and nice. so hopefully the screen works tomorrow. I wont get my hopes up just yet because dell assured me twice i was gettin the right one but turned into the samsung.
On a side note here is an interesting article about people who went after apple for bad displays on the macbook/macbook pro. Us as customers should look to do something similar towards dell. Not for the fact of getting any money out of it but for the pure fact its a crime what dell is doing to us and other customers.
If dell doesnt have any backlash for whats going on then they will continue to treat there customers bad and give them less than a deserving product.
heres the link: http://www.engadget.com/2008/03/26/apple-quietly-settles-macbook-6-bit-lcd-screen-lawsuit/ -
I got the LPL010F LG screen with my third XPS M1530 replacement too. I hate to add fuel to the fire, but I also believe the LG LCD is better than the two previous units that shipped with the Samsung LCD. The LG LCD is brighter and a lot less grainy.
However, the LG LCD has one dead and one stuck pixel. Both of the Samsung LCD panels had only no more than one stuck pixel. It really is hit or miss. I guess I can keep buying and returning until they get it right or tell me to shop elsewhere.
Right? -
For what it's worth, dell just replaced my entire laptop and the packing slip lists the Samsung panel but the lcd is not grainy and device manager says LPL010F. Maybe they've stopped using them for new builds.
I've got them both side by side and the new one is brighter and clearer. No sign of dead pixels. -
however human error on a invoice is possible.
-
Does anyone know what the non-Dell model number is for the hallowed LG screen?
I got the Samsung screen but was looking at maybe buying an LG screen myself if Dell won't sort me out.
I found an LG LP154W02-B1K2 - anyone know if that's the same? -
So I just received my M1530 and it actually came with the new LG V2 screen. Out of box the brightness was set very low, but once I cranked it up it seemed really nice.
I ordered the 1680x1050 display, and based on earlier comments I was pretty sure I would get stuck with a Samsung. Although lately the posts from customers receiving new systems seems to indicate that they are shipping with the newer LG screen, so perhaps they've phased out the Samsung. -
Jesus! It looks better... WAYYYY BETTER.
Don't settle for the Samsung! -
If you look back further into Apple notebook display issues, you may find info on the "PowerBook G4 (Dual Layer Drive) Horizontal Line Issue" (It may have been 'buried' on the internet, as it was resolved in 2006...)
I had a PowerBook that had the EXACT same problem these M1530 displays have. If you look closely when there are grey-ish areas on the screen, I'll bet that you'll see that every other row of pixels is slightly darker. These lines also produce a 'grain' on the screen, but because the resolution on these Samsung panels is much higher, the lines are harder to see.
I'm still in talks with Dell to get the screen replaced. We'll see how that goes. -
320-6078 -
-
discontinued or not, the DW306 looks amazing on my system, very happy!
-
^ Same here.
-
not saying it doesnt i wonder if they discontinued them because of the broken backlight from the box on some. me and another guy had that both on that model.
-
I received my M1530 on March 7th and from the start I noticed that I had a bad grainy screen. I put off having to deal with Dell to get it replaced because I thought "I have a 1 year on site service and warranty, why worry". I had thought that people had been always successful in getting a replacement, until I read this whole thread today.
I fired up the support Chat with Dell today and got them to send me a new LCD panel. I actually got the same supervisor that jeff33702 got in his chat and she/he told me that they could not guarantee what panel I would get and the they were just being "honest" about it.
Sadly my m1530 is a refurb so I think I'm past my 14 day period for returns. I'm sure I can still raise hell and try to get it accepted.
For now I can see that a dispatch is in place and that a part will be shipped. Looking at My Support History Details I can see that parts will be shipped but it does not list what panel it is:
Part Number Description Quantity
Y274C SERVICE KIT..., LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 15.4WSXGA+, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC...., TLF 1
RU671 BEZEL..., LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., PLASTIC..., W/CMRA, M1530 1
I think that means that I need to wait until I hear from the tech to ask him to check what part he got when it is delivered.
If I can't return the laptop anymore I can keep fighting Dell until I get the LG panel that this laptop deserves.
I did get a great deal on the laptop though, and I doubt another refurb will have an LG screen.
Here's a snip from my Dell Chat. Changed some of the names to protect the innocent:
Grainy Screen McGee: "The screen has been looking the same with the default Vista load, with Linux and with the new Vista load. No changes at all, so that to me says that it is not software related"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "I understand that"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "It is not necesarilly an issue with the LCD as I said previously"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "The grainy screen is seen across all LCD panels including both notebooks and desktop monitors and is not specific to any one brand of LCD or computer. Moreover, this is not a manufacturing defect; it is inherent to the way LCDs are designed. We do not have control over the LCD inventory to guarantee which LCD will be shipped along with your system. Many of the parts and sub-parts are added automatically without direct intervention during system manufacturing.
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Although not a defect, we are very much concerned about your feedback and have our testing teams work on it who are in the process of implementing it into our product design cycle."
Grainy Screen McGee: "Well the thing is that I noticed the problem since I got it and I thought I could live with it but it's causing a strain to my vision"
Grainy Screen McGee: "I don't think this is an acceptable characteristic of an LCD screen"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Well Grainy, I understand."
Grainy Screen McGee: "If this is the way that all screens are going to look like then I'm not liking this computer that much"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "However even if we send out a new LCD, that will be of the same brand and will in no ways be different from the one that you currently have."
Grainy Screen McGee: "There's no way to guarantee what part number gets sent to me to replace the one I have?"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "We just have one part that replaces the LCD"
Grainy Screen McGee: "From my own research I have seen that there are two part numbers for the WSXGA+ LCD display. There's the RW985 which is th eone I have. It is a Samsung SEC3350 panel. The other part number is XK309 which is an LG Philips LPLF300 panel"
Grainy Screen McGee: "If there is a way you can select the warranty replacement part that gets sent to me, if you see XK309 that would be the screen that seems to do without these issues"
Grainy Screen McGee: "It bothers me that this screen is considered a good screen on a high end system like this"
Grainy Screen McGee: "I have seen cheaper brands have better screens"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Alright"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Grainy, Please give me 2 minutes to check with these details and get back"
Grainy Screen McGee: "thank you"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Pleasure"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Thank you for staying connected Grainy"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "As you can see from our product search, that part is no longer available."
Agent (Mercy_139054): "However if you still wish for a replacement I can go ahead and send you the part"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "But I cannot assure you regarding which part would be sent"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "As the LG is no longer manufactured"
Grainy Screen McGee: "Well. I might as well try because if I can't get this resolved then I would be very inclined to send the laptop back"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Alright Grainy, So do you want me to send you a new LCD?"
Grainy Screen McGee: "yes please"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Alright"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "However would like to mention the statement again that we are not sure as to which LCD will be sent to you."
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Is there any other hardware failure with the computer?"
Grainy Screen McGee: "I understand"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Thank you"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "We will be sending you a technician with the part"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "He will give you a call and come and replace the part for you."
Agent (Mercy_139054): "It might take 1 to 2 business days"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "And you will have to send the old parts back to dell"
Grainy Screen McGee: "ok"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Is there anything else related to dell hardware that you want me to assist you with?"
Grainy Screen McGee: "no that is all.. thank you"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "My supervisor would like to have a word with you to know more about the services and the experience you had on the chat today. Would you mind sparing 2 minutes?"
Grainy Screen McGee: "not at all"
Agent (Mercy_139054): "Thank you"
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "Hi, this is Adithya. I am the supervisor."
Grainy Screen McGee: "Hello"
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "I am told that you reported an issue with the LCD being grainy in nature in your system and that Mercy is sending out a replacement LCD."
Grainy Screen McGee: "That is correct"
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "Grainy, I am just being honest with you and wanted to let you know that, we will be happy to process your request to replace the LCD, however even if we use the XK309 part number for the LG LCD, there is a chance you may still receive the exact same LCD as"
our warehouses use rotational stocks for notebook parts.
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "I just wanted to let you know about this before hand."
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "Also, I had a quick question for you. Did you have to wait for long today, before your chat was answered?"
Grainy Screen McGee: "Thank you for your concerns. I still want to see if another replacement will have a better picture than the one I have. This is because I don't want to be disappointed in my purchase since I expect a good system and I'm having these issues that become less minor as times go by
Grainy Screen McGee: "I did not have to wait long for assistance. And you guys have been very helpful today"
Agent (Sup_Adithya_105627): "Is there anything else we can help you with today?"
Is that BS or what. This guy says the LG panel is no longer being manufactured! Then he tells me "as you can see this part is not available anymore" I can't "see" anything, maybe I'm blind. I didn't know about the new LG part number, but I responded to the e-mail confirmation they sent me and asked them to add a note that I will NOT accept a Samsung panel and will only take one of the two LG part numbers. -
This is one long worrying thread.
I live in the UK & have just ordered a new 1530 with the WXGA 1280 x 800 standard resolution screen but after reading this thread I am understandably concerned.
From what I have read it seems that the best chance of getting a good screen is to order the WXGA+ 1440 x 900 screen or alternatively cancel & buy a differant laptop.
Either way I need to talk to Dell to cancel the finance deal as it's not the buy now pay later deal I was lead to believe from the website. Upon being sent the loan agreement there is a £49 pound admin charge if it is paid off before the interest free period endsFunnily enough though it's not mentioned on the website... obviously an oversight.
I would appreciate any thoughts from those of you more experianced with dealing with Dell. -
What is the next best thing to an XK309? Mine developed 5 dead pixels. Want to be prepared for when the tech comes with another samsuck.
-
really my advice to people is dont let this thread detir you from buying the laptop. Its the best laptop ive personally used and that includes about 2 months on a macbook pro a few hrs a week over the past few months. as well as many others. This is the first laptop ive ever purchased but i have used many for work.
As far as the screen goes unless you notice a problem love what you got. Unless you actually have a reason or cant stand something wrong just enjoy the laptop.
Before i bought my samsung lcd tv i searched so much and found problems with them and sonys and lg's, sharps etc it just seemed the samsung from what i had read was the best tv for the job i wanted. And by the time i was done researching they fixed the problems they were having.
Lately people seem to be getting the DW306 LG panel on brand new units, myself and 3-4 other people who ordered around the same date as mine.
Give this thread about another month or two and it will be buried because the problem wont exist anymore. -
I just had mine delivered today. I wasn't worried about the screen at all due to the statement on another forum that they no longer shipped with the grainy screen.
Much to my dismay I turned her on and noticed it was grainy - "what the hell? a grainy LG, I must be really unlucky". So I checked the part number and sadly it is a Samsung.
Not only is it grainy (honestly, I could come to live with that given time, it's just a big change from my normal LCD) but the viewing angles are horrible. I honestly struggle to see the whole screen well at a time. I need to move my head around to get good lighting on the edges of the screen and that just isn't acceptable.
Has anyone else noticed terrible viewing angles on the Samsung? Or would the viewing angles on the LG be the same? I really didn't expect it to be this bad.
Edit: It's especially bad when I have it setup with my desktop samsung 930BF screen next to it (the way I intend to run it) as going between one good screen and one grainy screen is killing my eyes. -
-
the samsung screens are known to have bad viewing angles too. whats weird is i have a friend who has a samsung screen in his dell, he bought it in the summer time and it looks beautiful.
-
Damn, I really didn't want to have to go through the hassle of changing screens. It's the main reason I waited so long to buy. So the LG does have better viewing angles?
-
Initially i was thinking of just keeping the samsung screen since i had quite a decent one. But why compromise when you paid for something better! so i email dell and told them the problem and the screen was replaced the very next day. I am living in Singapore and i think not many people bothered to swap their screens because the technician that came to replace the screen knew nothing about the grainy screen problem and has never replaced one on a XPS m1530 before but he did a decent job. Well done DELL for their prompt service!
The only draw back is the frame of the screen is abit loose now but well worth the difference in quality of the monitor!
Isaac -
Ok, I actually took a copy/paste of that previous conversation for my support request email:
-
Well, Dell is sending a replacement screen. They say it's an 'upgrade' from what I have now (I have the 1680 x 1050 samsung, and the tech wasn't able to tell me which panel it was).
I'll find out tomorrow when the service technician gives me a call. -
Well I just got a call from the tech, he said he got a bunch of parts so I asked him to open up the boxes and look for the brand of the LCD aaaand...
It was a Samsung.
Time to get in touch with Dell again. -
when they replace the screen do they have to tear the thing apart bigtime or is it just a minor tear down of the system? I am a desktop guy i dont know much about the replacement of parts on laptops beyond the memory and hdd.
The tech is coming to replace my screen soon so i was just curious. -
It depends on the tech. Some take apart more than others. If they change out the cable, then it requires more disassembly.
Check the service manual on Dell site and you can see what it requires.

Son of a B***.
Well.. I was in a Dell chat and I was typing in all these complaints and making my point on how the Samsung screen sucks when the chat session abruptly ends!!
I get the link to answer the Dell Chat Survey and I answer it and say how dissatisfied I am with it.
As soon as I send it I get a phone call from some girl asking him how my day is going and I of course say that it is NOT going well.
She says she apologizes for the inconvenience and that she is working with her supervisor to get the LG panel sent to the tech so that he can replace it. She says they are TOLD NOT to send the LG panel to customers but since I am a valued Dell customer that they will make an exception for me. She asked me to confirm my address and asked if I had already scheduled a visit with the tech. I confirmed the address and told her that the tech and I had not scheduled a time for replacement.
She said the LG part was going to be sent out and should be here in 2 business days.
We'll see what happens next.
Here's my Chat transcript. Names have again been changed to protect the innocent.
Session Started with Agent (Farheen_102161)
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Thank you for contacting Dell XPS Premium Support. My name is Farheen and my rep ID number is 102161. How may I help you today?"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "Hello. I have an open case number with dell. The case number is XXXXXXX"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I was contacted by the technician today and he informed me he received the parts for the LCD replacement"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I asked him to check the brand of the LCD display to make sure I was getting a different one than the one I currently have and he determined it to be a Samsung display"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I will not accept any part that is NOT an LG panel"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "so I need you to help me make sure that the right part is delivered to the technician so he can replace it"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Do not worry about this. I shall certainly take care of this and help you resolve this issue."
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "Thank you"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I was informed yesterday that it was not easy to tell which part I would get, but from my own research I have read that people have been successful in specifying the LCD panel by part number"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "if your system allows you to select the correct part number for the display, you have to specify it to be part number XK309 which is also a part number used on the Vostro line"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "There is another part number that also references an LG panel. That is DW306"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "The one I DO NOT want is the Samsung RW985"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "If it is not possible to specify the panel and it is a luck of the draw thing, we can just have another one sent to the tech and once he receives it, if it is not the LG panel then we can try again"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I'm trying not to have to send this laptop back"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I went to a Best Buy store, where Dell has these laptops on display ,and the one they have there has an LG Panel (I can tell by going into the system manager, and then checking the hardware ID of the display) and the difference between them is night and day"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Well, the part sent to you is Y274C and it is not samsung."
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "well the problem is that part Y274C is the part number for the LCD assembly"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "that is just the general Dell part number for replacing an LCD screen"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "the LCD panel that gets sent depends on what is available at the warehouse (or so I want to believe) but there are three different panel part numbers that Dell uses"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "The panel I want HAS to be LG branded, otherwise I don't want it because it will exhibit the same issues that my current one has"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "This is what the description of the good panel should read:"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "XK309 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY..., 15.4WSXGA+, VIDEO ELEC. STDS. ASSOC...., TLF, LGP"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "And if I look at my order details from when my laptop was shipped, you can see that my current panel is"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "1 XR860 Module,Liquid Crystal Display 15.4WSXGA+,Samsung,M1530"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Unfortunately, the part being sent to you is again a samsung, when I checked with the part found out that it is a samsung."
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "so there are different part numbres.. XR860 VS KX309"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "I am trying to check what best can be done on this."
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "yes.. exactly.. so I asked the technician NOT to come"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "thank you.. if you can get an LG sent I'll gladly have the techician replace it"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Did the technician call you for this?"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "yes"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "he called me to let me know that he had the parts so I asked him to check the LCD Panel for me and he told me it was a samsung"
Agent (Farheen_102161): "Well, the laptop had come with the samsung LCD and the LCD is sent to you with all the necessary testing in factory for issues."
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "Well here's the problem Farheen. Dell does NOT acknowledge that the LCD has "issues". It passes testing because it displays an image. But when you look at this display (a Samsung display) you can tell that something is wrong. The brightness is low, the viewing angles are terrible and you can see blotches and patches of darker areas when you have white images displayed
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "and even worse. If you put this laptop next to any other laptop you can tell them apart instantly"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "and as I also mentioned. I compared mine to a display unit at Best Buy. Same model M1530, side by side, and I can tell that mine has a bad LCD screen"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "Anyone that sees them side by side can tell that something is wrong with mine"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "it causes strain on your eyes when reading it and I refuse to put up with it because I bought a Dell Quality system and received a Dell Quality system with an awful LCD screen"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I'm sure you would agree that on a laptop, the LCD screen is very important, and any problems with it, especially if they are related to the quality of the image, are NOT acceptable"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I have spent many hours reading up on this issue. Both on the dell official forums and on others and I have found not one, or two, or three but at least 30 people with the exact same problem"
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "A lot of them have received excellent service from technical support by having a technician replace their screens, but only when it has been replaced with an LG panel. There are countless stories of people receiving the same Samsung panel that has the same issues
POd Grainy Screen McGee: "I can have the tech come by and replace it but I am 99% certain that it will NOT get rid of the problem I am seeing. I am saving Dell and myself the hassle of wasting time trying to fix the broken part with another broken part. And by broken I mean not up to MY standards. I don't know how Dell can put their name behind a panel as bad as this one"
Aaand this is where the chat ended abruptly.
How do I fix my m1530 Grainy Screen?
