Error message? If it says your drivers are up to date then you did one of the steps wrong.

Sorry if this has been answered, I'm on page 27 of this thread so far.

I got a i7-7700hq, 8gb ram, FHD 256GB ssd model and I was having issues with the keyboard while gaming. It seems that the keyboards misses click or delay maybe...It's really annoying.
I've read about disabling the power service, which I tried but it didn't solve anything.

I've had a lot of desktops but never owned a good laptop and I'm just learning on tweaks (underclocking, pads, etc.) so my laptop is stock for now.

Anyone else has my problem ?

maybe a newbie question, but how do you measure battery wear?

I got the PC300 SK, I believe from what you posted that it's the slowest of the bunch

I'll try to take a video tomorrow. Basically, I need to press the keys 3-4 times before they register once. This happens to me in Path of exile for now, I haven't installed other games, not planning to use laptop for gaming but I was finding this strange

Is anyone else's XPS 15 having DPC latency issues? Audio popping every once in a while?

Has anyone seen the screen brightness getting unexpectedly reduced from 100% to about 30% after screen turned off or wakeup from sleep?
I have the default Intel drivers (the "fixed" version causes problems with a LG 27UD88-W 4K external monitor connected via USB-C, with the external monitor not getting woken up after it has been turned off by the laptop... seriously.). This issue does not happen systematically but very often and is very annoying. The power plan does not give any hints at why the screen would get reduced to 30%, it is not even dimmed as dimmed would be 50%.

If it is prem color then it is just a settings issue with it.

You don't get faster speeds (within 2% from what has been posted on the 9550) just stability.

Has anyone experienced on their dell xps when in desktop and switching back to browser (minimalizing and maximilizing browser window), that when the browser page is showing it lags? stutters?

Big issues with Dells Intel HD630 video driver, I have updated to the latest intel (not Dell) and so far so good.
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Dell/comme..._55520_fix_for_lagstuttering/?sort=confidence

Note I have only put the driver on so far, no other fixes in that thread so far so try the driver only.

Yaaay tech coming this week to replace my main board (tb3 ****ed) and battery (came with 10% wear)

The XPS 9550 release was like finding out both your grandparents died. The 9560 release is like finding out only one grandparent died. Good job, Dell!

I'm returning my 9560. Way to buggy for my liking. Almost every driver causes some sort of issue.

I don't think I'll get another Dell XPS as I've returned 3 units in the last year.

Dell have offered me a 10% refund if I accept the order as it is with the 1TB XG4 SSD. -Still cant help thinking that the SSD is a low end component -its due to be delivered next week.

You have to uninstall the previous driver manually first and not allow windows to reinstall it.

Most issues will eventually be ironed out by driver updates. Other issues like popping speakers are like that by design.

Thing is there's no other laptop out there like the dell XPS 9550/9560.

Just ordered the Dell XPS 15 with i7, FHD, 8GB and 256GB SSD. Any way to know what the SSD is from their invoice? Or need to wait till it comes in hand to find that out?

*edit, what Norsten has said above :)
It has other weird settings I haven't looked into like application color that can automatically mess with the settings. Try to uninstall it and see how you get on?

Thanks! I will wait for the shipping notice to check on this.

Also, I see mention of this A02 revision boards for the XPS 9560. Any idea if they have started shipping those ones out or most likely i am going to get the older revision supposedly plagued with problems?

What would you do on the XPS 9560 15"? Get either the 4k, or i7? Both is out of my budget. I want this to replace my gaming desktop which is 4 years old and plan to use an external gpu with it eventually.

Would you do the i7 - 7700, or do the 4k display? 4k display comes with the larger battery too, but just a i5 quad core.

Or if I got the i7 7700HQ, I only get the FHD with the smaller battery. Would the i5 be good enough?

4k, the i5 is a small trade off as you are only missing hyperthreading, and it doesn't throttle in game from other members reports.

Yeah, I don't plan to game often either, just maybe a few times a week at the most on my external 34" ultrawide curved display. I mostly use my PC to browse, read, and do more business related stuff than gaming. So 4k bigger battery, with i5.

I got the i7 model, FHD which was a lot cheaper than the 4k...I'm considering trying to return it and get a 4K one just cause it looks better but I'm still hesitant.

My unit seems pretty good so far and I wouldn't want problems with my new one...I plan on upgrading ram in the future from 8gb to 16gb probably and change the 256gb ssd.

Small defect on my : trackpad seems a bit weird...sometimes it returns to last position or do some kind of "skips"...also keyboard don't register all keys while in game..probably software related

I actually own a XPS 13" with the 4k display, for my work laptop that they provided me. Love the thing to death. Been 100% reliable, no issues at all. Screen is a bit small for 4k though, so I hope the 15" is better with that. I just got in another $300 bucks unexpectedly refund from a car I haven't had in almost a year that I guess they found some money they owed me, but also Dell maybe sending me a "free" seed unit of my pick. We are supposed to discuss it tomorrow some more. :)

Getting mine tomorrow, 4K, i7-7700HQ, 32GB RAM & 1TB SSD. I'm really excited, bought it for music production. I can't help though to get worried when i read some of these pages, seems like everyone is unhappy with something  (i'm not judging or trying to be rude).
Is someone actually happy with their unit? :)

I love mine. Definitely not unhappy with it. Honestly, I think its incredibly well built. Hoping to have this for years!

Fixed the chrome browsing freezing issue with the updated intel graphics drivers.
I also think I found my max undervolt... Undervolting to -140... I would unplug the power cord and right as it switches to battery I'll bsod... happened quite often. Brought it up to -120 and doesn't happen...

I think I got the DPC latency fixed for real now. I figured it really *should* be a software (driver) error, not hardware, so sending it back to dell wouldn't do any good. So I took the nuclear option and reinstalled windows, formatted everything, etc.

This time I was very careful when installing drivers, especially Killer wifi ones. So far, so good. I ran windows update, it grabbed the rest, still no latency issues. I'm thinking the original error was just some random problems when installing drivers. Maybe it was interrupted, or it installed to the wrong place, whatever.

So the moral of the story is always be very careful when you install drivers, check with latencymon or dpclat after installing them. If in doubt, blow the whole thing up.

Ok i found out the laptop is slow and lagging when set to power saver mode in power options after i set it to balanced its smooth. For users out there byuying 4k version of dell xps, just get it its really nice screen, although i would like the black level to be more dark but i think thats an issue with ips panel right?
