My guess would be they've just picked merge items from netherlands to be sent across to meet up with the rest of the order in Lutterworth

Its bad news from my end. Nothing since the MERGE on Saturday. It obviously isn't in the UK. Either that or one package is ahead of the other. But im surprised none of the other UK orders have heard anything either.

I still think they're all in one container.... probably arriving tonight or perhaps more likely tomorrow

It normally goes really quickly from the point when they land... next day or day after worst case

Very likely, I'd be much happier if they just gave me an ETA, looking at N/A is a bit of a joke, and now the Dell EDD is wrong, it would be nice.

Nice! Hope you get tomorrow! Its normal from jumping from DEPARTED to being scanned at one of the UK hubs, there appear to be no WWI tracking points between the China - UK route. Did you just have QTY 1 i.e. Just the laptop, no accessories etc?

Just the one box, it took 6 days to get to the UK, and took two minutes from being scanned into the hub to being dispatched, so I really wouldn't worry about it. Maybe a good idea to have a back up plan in terms of collecting it, as for me I won't be in all day tomorrow so I can almost guarantee I'll miss it :/

COULD still arrive in the UK today and get there overnight..... but agreed it's looking less likely.

I remember tracking an Apple using WWI/syncreon and I could track it every step of the way even though it was obvious it was in a container with a load of other stuff. Interesting to see it all scanned as one, passed customs as one, then split out.

So yeah, could really do with some updates soon. I still think it's a good sign that they've merge picked other items though. Surely they wont want those just hanging around for the rest of the order for too long

In theory, yes. But seems they haven't put on an ETA, its very unlikely.

I keep checking the internal notes on the tracking through another tracking module but all quiet there too

perfect! wish mine said that LOL

So yours departed manu.facility 2 days after ours but seemingly arrived first... in a way that's could be logical if they were stacking a container, yours would be near the last on but near the first off.

hmmm.... still hoping for an update this evening

Mine is saying the same as hazelwood's, except mine 'shipped' on the 1st. Guess they wait until they have enough to justify sending a shipment.

I think Ive been pretty lucky tbh, seeing as I ordered it on the 31st. It looks like most UK orders are going to be delivered today or tomorrow so its not going to make a lot of difference.

That ladies and gentlemen is what we are all dreaming of seeing on our tracking!

I'm not too bothered about the order being dispatched after and being processed through Leicestershire first, I just want an ETA, likewise, I'm hoping for some activity too. As that will pretty much signal following day delivery!

Please don't, I've glanced over that thread and thought, please don't let this machine be defective from day one! I've already experienced it once before with my XPS 15z, had a nice vertical scratch on the screen, that quickly went back and a new one sent out. How guttered I felt, I'm not going to lie, disappointed!

US orders can you please check, on your order sheet/invoice for the 91WHr battery, is it 6 cell or 9 cell? Mine's 6 cell over here (australia).

I didn't pay attention to the cells, just thought big meant 91WHr and so on. Then support mentioned 9 cell and I realised this was 6 cell, he thought there might have been a 9 cell in the US version.

He's telling me that 2 to 4 hour battery life is normal, I'm not sure what to say.

My XPS 15z can last that long with a two year old battery. I'd challenge that. I thought they were hinting at least 4-5 hours

Some talks of the touchpad drivers causing battery drain, there is some useful info in the owners thread

The XPS 15 has great specs but I can't purchase the thing with a US keyboard in Germany. Bummer. Guess that means no Dell for me.

Have you called them to confirm this? You wouldn't be able to order one with a different keyboard from the website perhaps, but have you tried talking directly to sales?

I chatted with a salesperson and I was told that I could only get the QWERTZ layout in Germany. Ordering from Dell in the US seems to be impossible (can't select a country in the order form) plus I would have to pay taxes :(

I was looking for a Windows alternative to the Macbook but it seems that I have to look elsewhere. By the way apple has several keyboard layout options including US in their German shop.

Received mine today (top spec, UK), ordered on 18th October, Shipped on 1st November. First impressions, the laptop is very good build quality. I like everything about it, the minor gripe is that not all apps are DPI aware. Photoshop UI is tiny, browsers wise Chrome does not deal well with high resolution displays. I tried Canary build with hiDPI enabled, which made the browser unusable. IE and Firefox handle them very well, Opera does a decent job with tabs, but does not enlarge the add-on buttons. Overall, very happy with the laptop.

Not sure which thread to post this in (this one vs. the owner lounge) so I I'll post it here as well...

Just thought I'd post my first impressions, as Ive been using it for a couple of hours now.

Scaling support is much better than expected, the only program not working great is chrome and some ones I made :p

Screen is fantastic, but has one downside, which is my 23" 1080p monitor looks quite fuzzy now. Glare is something I haven't noticed so its not a problem.

SSD is fast, and I don't notice any difference from my Samsung 830 pro in my main PC.

Keyboard and Mouse work as expected, as people have mentioned the very corners don't always register but Im starting to get into the habit of tapping for left click and two finger tapping for right click which works really well.

Wifi im still not sure on, I was downloading some stuff from MSDN which kept stalling half way through and sometimes Steam would go to 0 kb/s briefly. However this was once and I haven't had issues since and Im getting 5 bars signal where I usually would so I'm not too fussed.

With regards to the noise, I can hear it if I press my ear to the top of the laptop but only slightly and the laptops silent when in normal position. Its definitely not worth worrying about if its as loud as mine.

Overall very pleased, its fast, silent, runs cool and the build quality seems very good, although I think I prefer the styling of the MBP with its clean lines but its a fair bit more money so in my opinion as a mainly windows user the XPS is better for me.

My tracking still hasn't updated to being at my local depot, nothing since being dispatched from Lutterworth yesterday, hopefully that's not a bad sign, I haven't received any notification from UKMail either.
