Checked it with that program (HWINFO64, thanks for sharing!) To see what it says, looks like that one is probably more accurate than the programs I checked earlier, as it shows a more common manufacturer.
It says it's a SAMSUNG panel (it says unknown model: SDCC34F). more details: https://gyazo.com/2fc16846e508f83c07e64b2e93eb2e5d
Hopefully Dell has switched over to this panel, and all new laptops are made with this one. But it might also depend on where it's manufactured? Mine came from China.

    Hi guys!

Just received today Samsung EVO 850 M.2 250GB SSD for my Dell so I am wondering now what is the correct way for the fresh install of the new Windows 10 via bootable USB on it?

Some will say it's pretty straight forward it's not rocket science but I have encountered some while ago with the problem of not being able to boot Windows via USB because laptop had only 3.0 USB slots and it could not been recognized during the boot process so now I am worried with the same problem I have with this Dell that has all 3.0 USB slots as well and not having CD/DVD drive - how do you set this thing to work than?

How to properly make bootable USB - is it formated in FAT32 or NTFS type?

I apologize for my english and for such a basic question but it is something that I couldn't solve with the previous laptop that just wouldn't recognize bootable USB on 3.0 so I don't want to hit a wall again with it and I am trying to be prepared as much as I can to make this work as best it can.

Thank you for remembering to post pics of what the skin you ordered looks like applied.

I ordered a keyboard cover from Amazon last month and just sent it back because it was driving me crazy. It would come off so easily, was curled up on the corners and blocked the back light that comes through the back lit keyboard.

No problem. THO, the skin doesn't really fit perfectly. >_<
I've got my eyes for these keyboard protectors for a while now: http://www.ebay.ph/itm/TPU-Clear-Ke...050524?hash=item3abf726d5c:g:mRcAAOSwr7ZW5rTj
I picked TPU instead of silicone because TPU is a lot clearer than silicone.

Before I bought this laptop I've heard complains about the wifi card, but I love the wifi.
at the top floor here no device could ever have a decent connection with the bottom floors crappy wifi router.
    But this laptop can! :)

Does the 2016 updated GRY model have a thunderbolt port?
How is the the 1080p screen vs the 4K?
If heard the 1080p screen is OK but is it bright, nothing worse than having a screen that's dim especially when gaming.
    Thanks

No apparent flicker on my 7559 with 4K display. There is a little light bleed in the top right corner though, but not enough to be an issue.

For a "Faux-K" display, it looks pretty darn nice and scales to lower resolutions very well. The good thing about this tech is it still looks sharp, but gets better battery life. It is like
a pentile display in this regard. Whatever the case, the display looks far better than the 1080p option and the touch display is handy sometimes as well.

Hi. I'd like to buy the 7559 for replace my old Xps Studio 1640, but I'm unsure about the display - like many others here. ;) Does Dell deliver now the 300 nits FHD display or is this from LG much less brighter? I think I would consider against the 4k display because of using the notebook outside in the garden, on sunny days too. The glossy pane should make it unusable, does it? But touch is a nice feature, too. Photo editing is not the prefered field of application, but shoud be possible (color)...

Thanks, I'm lucky about every input for this decision.

Hey, could a couple of you guys try this out for me? I have had 2 units that both have this issue, and I was wondering if anyone else might have it as well. It's not very noticeable, but once you notice it it's hard to ignore.

    1. Go in a very quiet room.

    2. Make sure you don't have anything plugged into the headphone jack.

    3. Mute Windows volume.

    4. Play a youtube video (or any other media with sound).

    5. Stick you ears near your speakers and see if you hear any faint static noise.
    Thanks.

I have replaced my first Dell with the new one but the new one got this same issue.

Maybe somebody from dell service is here and can write something about the speakers issue?

    http://drivers.softpedia.com/blog/r...iver-version-is-out-download-now-502790.shtml''

drivers from softpedia are 3-4 versions ahead of dell

i had a speaker issue where speaker developed crackling sound once in a while .. it then completely died and is getting repaired at dell

Guys I messed up real bad!!... I saved up money for a year to buy this laptop and finally yesterday ordered it on ebay, and going afterwards through the details I noticed it didn't say that it had the gtx 960m video card but rather intel HD graphics built in. The price is the same as the other versions of the laptop with the gtx on eBay, but I just happened to be a complete moron and order this particular version http://www.ebay.com/itm/272181768757?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

My question is does it even exist? Dell 7559 without the gtx 960m? I couldn't find it online even at Dell's website. Did they just rip the damn graphics card off? Also It's the same price as the ones with the gtx video card, so how can that even be possible?

I don't even know what to do...

Can you get them to cancell or get you a service tag number so you can get the configuration? How did you pay? Ya its always hard when buying computer stuff to know exactly what your paying for.

I got a replacement too and the new one also has the issue.
I wonder just how common it is and if people just aren't noticing it (it took me a while to notice it for the first time, but once I did it's hard to ignore).

It appears theres some buttons missing from the page. There should be a row of buttons below the picture of the computer, one being system configuration. Call dell and ask them to look it up for you.

It will have the 960m, they all do. That said, I am curious as to why would you order this off some random ebay reseller? You could have bought it from the Dell outlet, or even brand spanking new for around the same price. This computer sells brand new for $800 all over the place. You never get a good deal on ebay, and you usually get way worse return policies from sketchy resellers. For example, looking at his return policy, he even chargers a 10% restocking fee for UNOPENED merchandise. If it is opened he makes you go through him AND Dell before getting a refund, and then adjusts the return amount based on "condition" whatever that means. What a hassel. I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.

You MAYBE saved a whole $22 for a refurbished laptop and have to go through a crummy reseller return policy if you need to return it. Not a very good bargain IMHO.

    Hi there!

This is my first post here, but over the last few weeks I've been reading this thread with great attention.

I just received my 7559 (1080p, 6300HQ, 8 GB, 1TB HDD version) and I did a fresh install of windows 10. Everything is perfect so far. However, when I try to watch netflix on Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer (so I can watch in 1080p), I get a single frame skip every 20~30 seconds. Sound is fine and, excluding the skipped frame, the video is smooth.

I just updated the last bios version (1.1.7) and the problem persists...

What do you guys think it can be?

    Thank you!

In my country, Dell offers an Ubuntu based version of the 7559 and since I had a spare win 10 key that I got from Dreamspark, I bought that version.

    Sorry I couldn't help you.

I did a clean install on my Alienware A18X and when it came to ask for the CD key I just skipped it. THere was an error message but it allowed me to continue. Once I got into Windows it said Windows was already activated. I think the CD key is embeded into the bios and Windows reads it once it gets onto the internet. I got my copy of Win 10 right from Microsoft download site.

Not sure about the skipping. Could be a driver issue. I am running the latest Nvidia drivers and I get weird freezing intermittently now that I never had before. I think there have driver issue in Win 10.

    Thank you for your answer.

If I may ask another question, is there a way to disable the integrated graphics and just roll with the GTX 960m? This is the first time I have a laptop with dedicated graphics card.

You can try to disable it in the device manager. Not sure if it will owrk though. I know you can disable the Nvidia card in the device manager. The On board card is the default.

Hi, you're absolutely right, though I don't live in the US, so I couldn't order from Dell. I just sorted the laptops on Ebay by lowest price (plus shipping) and chose the first one (which did had the 960m but after a couple of hours it was sold out and I went to the next one without checking twice - and of course it didn't have). Now the reseller said 'it might come with the gtx video card' but he isn't sure. I reached out to Dell on twitter and this was their response http://imgur.com/a/3YILa , perhaps the Twitter guys don't quite know, but I desperately hope you're right and it will come with it.

I suspect the Ebay seller is not telling the truth. People who get caught in lies just tell more lies to get out of them. You should have asked arounf the forums because I am sure someone could have purchased it for you and shipping it to you. Personally I am sure you can buy that machine with just a Intel HD card.

I'm thinking of getting one of these but after reading the reviews I'm a bit confused about the gfx card. The ones I'm looking at buying have a GTX 960M with 2GB DDR5 while the reviews I've read say the gfx card has 4GB of DDR5? Can anyone clarify?

:( Well, they are supposed to get back to me tomorrow about whether they were able to reroute the package from FedEx, so maybe it ain't lost yet. Either way thanks for the reply man. Gotta be sure to check twice next time.

I have never seen this computer listed WITHOUT the 960m. The lower end inspiron models yes, but not the 7559. This is Dell's new "gaming" inspiron, and they aren't going to sell a gaming laptop without it. I would not worry.

As to Dell's twitter response, this just goes to show you how utterly clueless Dell's support is. They don't even know what they sell. I've interacted with their twitter support and it is staffed by the same buffoons that their ordinary support is staffed by.

Dell's support is good for one thing, and one thing only - initiating a return. Otherwise they are completely clueless about pretty much everything.

Unfortunately, ur unit does not come with gtx 960m. I also bought one without backlit and have it refunded from my local retailer here. The one's that come from china can be customized depending on the customer's order. That's how I came to hate china. Not following the norm. >_<

If you look on the ebay seellers other listings, he lists the video card on other models as GTX960 etc. I doubt he would omit the GTX960 on this unit. What good could come from leaving out this important detail? Computers are priced [usually] by the specific hardware they contain. THat guys 7559s are overpriced for the US market, especially for a refurb unit. Hopefully you can exchange it for a unit with the video card you want.

What website are you looking at that states it's a 2GB 960M card? I haven't seen a dell inspiron 7559 with 2GB VRAM anywhere, so as far I'm aware there are only 4GB models.

I'm not sure if this has been asked about or mentioned before so I apologize beforehand if I'm repeating a question since there's not a way to search by keyword in threads here.

I'm having a problem when trying to use the touchpad or mouse where instead of letting me click on links easily the little paw/hand symbol comes up where it thinks I want to drag something. I try to click on a tab in Chrome and it travels with me when I try to move the arrow instead of just letting me just click and go on with what I want to do in whatever tab I'm going back to or opening. I'm probably not making much sense but it's driving me crazy.

I think the XPS comes with a 2GB version of this card. Weird because its about double the money as the Inspiron model.

Did you notice the scrolling difference between edge and chrome? It's butter-smooth in edge while it's laggy on cbrome. >_<

Fixed it. Try clean install of windows 10 here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Then install the latest Nvidia driver from the nvidia website.
Else, if you don't want to perform clean install you could download "ddu(display driver uninstaller)" from google. Uninstall nvidia, then install the latest version of nvidia driver, then ur good to go. :)
