    Got the same story... industry wide shortage of LCD panels.

    I guess Dell under estimated the response they would get with the new Inspirons and Vostros and they speak so much about how incredible their supply chain is.

    I ordered my Vostro 1400 on the 20th of July (Friday), it soon said the ETA was around 8-10 August.

    But then it went into Build and that was completed on the 23rd (Monday), now it's at the "shipping to Australia" stage.

    Hopefully the tracking page isn't wrong and it's really on the way.

    Seriously? That is no fair, I ordered mine on the 11th and as far as I know it is still in the build stage. (I have called the dell 5 times today to check on my status, but it never actually works for some reason) I have been in build since atleast last monday, which was the first time I called them.

    sry for the 100 messege but im so happy for changing in my status !! just realize that boxing is better status then testing ! i order 3 vostro 1500 on the 13/07 with ast shiping for the 06/08. one of them is on boxing stage and two on testing !!!! afffff DELL drive me crazy !!! when i going to get my lappy already !!!!!!

    boxing stage on my vostro 1400, ordered on the 10th. why boxing is even a stage is beyond me,,,,,,,,,,, put laptop between 2 foams, then put into box. wow! thats a different stage!

    As of 7:58am est, my 1500 is in the testing stage! How long after testing should I expect my computer to be shipped out? I need to know b/c I'm moving this thursday so I have to decide whether or not to have my laptop rerouted to my new address. I got $1 overnight shipping.

    When I ordered my 1520 it was in build stage for 15 days, completely skipped delivery prep and went right to shipped. On the 18th day after ordering it arrived about 6 days before the estimated shipped date I already had the laptop.
