I ordered the m1330 via Drake yesterday at 6 AM CST...finally got confirmation today !
-
my drake order is in produtcion. Yay!
Ship date: 8/22/07 lol -
Btw, should I try to change the wireless to the Intel vs Dell ? It was a free upgrade but I didn't realize it 'til I ordered it and I didn't want to order a 2nd one (and cancel first one) as I was already feeling just a *touch* of guilt as I don't plan on attending Drake Univ anytime soon.... -
what were your specs?

Wow.... brand new m1330 for under 1200$. That's one heck of a deal
-
Mine was confirmed (as i've previously posted). Now i just hope i can at least get the printer and the 3 yr care plan removed...
if not i'm afraid that i'd have to cancel the whole thing (grand total of $1694 is out of my price range)... plus if they're so kind to remove the shipping and/or tax (as i've heard was the case for some of you) that would bring the cost down to even less than the HP dv2500t which was my initial choice (since it was more affordable)... that might be a little to hopeful though.
so yeah, i tried calling dell today but that department is apparently closed today... shoot. Is Monday going to be too late? -
-
...so you want the printer removed, 3 year plan removed, shipping removed, tax removed...anything else you want removed?
-
The XPS M1330 isnt on Drake's site anymore.
-
Timing is everything with these discounts - I only wish I worked at AAA. The deals Dell offers them are awesome - dell.com/aaa
-
Maybe they got smart because I don't see it anywhere.
-
-
-
-
you might still have luck with U of FL? sorry, you'll have to read the last 5 pgs or so to get the specific name/link -
-
i took what i could get
7300 processor
led display
8400m
2gigs
160 7200rpm
n card
fingerprint
bluetooth
and 3yr plan with lojack and accidental
for little under 2000$
the lady was very nice, when she saw the ship date was 8/22 she expedited it and put it on overnight shipping for free
cant wait
i just wish i would of jumped on the drake deal -
-
-
-
-
And you want to cancel this, why? -
-
My M1210 order was cancelled last week on the day of est. shipment. Just because its in production doesn't mean anything. I have spoken with 3 different dell reps and all 3 said that the orders from Drake would be cancelled.
-
But really, besides the m1330's build quality and sexiness i could have gotten a similar dv2500t for quite a bit cheaper... so if i'm gonna go for this m1330 i'm going to add to it the things that a dv2500t wouldn't have. (plus i wanted the T7300 cpu... but that i can possibly ask them to downgrade too... if necessary.. hehe)
Also, even though its probably really worth that much, and the deal i got was awesome, i feel that personally $1600 or even $1500 is too much for a laptop... that's just me.
... that is if these orders aren't canceled. My hopes aren't too high yet. -
Why was you m1210 cancelled? -
What they ordered was atrocious, they're only concern was getting it as cheap as possible.
No 8400m, no led lcd, no bluetooth 2.0, some even grabbed g wireless cards.
Whats the point of getting one of the newest laptops out without all of the latest advances. You might as well go to best buy and drop $600 on whatevers on sale. -
Edit:Oh and I forgot free next day air. -
Still no order confirmation for me. I ordered about 8:30pm or so on June 28th. When I called in they couldn't find the order and the rep said "they weren't going through." But I haven't received a cancellation notice either.
Anyone suggest any numbers to call to get this moved along?? Because it seems like they cannot do anything without an order/customer number. -
My M1330 got confirmed, but I didnt get an order number, just a customer number. Should I call in with my customer number to get my order numbers or will they cancel my order if I do that?
thanks
***EDIT*** Got the Order Number... is it possible to cancel the extended warranty on the computer? How much would that save? -
-
-
-
sorry guys, still new to ordering thing. okay i ordered mines through u of florida today. chcked my email it says order confirmed, and i have an order number. does this mean im all set? when i go to check on my order status, it says order processing. what should i expect?
-
As for what we SHOULD EXPECT, I just read this in my confirmation email though which dampened my mood a tad...nothing I didn't already know but it's there in black and white :
"Please note that Dell cannot be responsible for pricing or other errors, and reserves the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors." -
i can't find this. I have tried different schools. What is a Drake link? For example when i do it for California State University Northridge i get taken to the page and all it offers me is the D820 and none of the links point to any other options and n mention of the m1330 anywhere
nm i figured out the drake school etc but even when i go i click on full catelog and i don't see any discount link and i can't find a way toget his discount -
-
-
So is this dead now? Well that's upsetting.
-
-
Sucks for jew dude... -
-

-
I'm so kicking myself for not jumping on this damn drake deal; the UF one is so horrible if you plan to upgrade ANYTHING.
-
-
Yea...but it depends on what they tell me when i go to cancel it tomorrow. Ill ask about the Drake sells and see what they say. But who knows i might keep it but not for very long lol, my M1210 is coming in tomorrow, and my memory is going to be right behind it(Tuesday) so im not complainin.
-
My bro's school doesn't have any special discounts except the EPP.
We just ordered his laptop tonight for about $1530 (everything)
