Mine too although my ship date is 8/20 - WOOHOO !!! Now, the waiting game/phone calling/more phone calling can begin... :p

Btw, should I try to change the wireless to the Intel vs Dell ? It was a free upgrade but I didn't realize it 'til I ordered it and I didn't want to order a 2nd one (and cancel first one) as I was already feeling just a *touch* of guilt as I don't plan on attending Drake Univ anytime soon....

Mine was confirmed (as i've previously posted). Now i just hope i can at least get the printer and the 3 yr care plan removed...

if not i'm afraid that i'd have to cancel the whole thing (grand total of $1694 is out of my price range)... plus if they're so kind to remove the shipping and/or tax (as i've heard was the case for some of you) that would bring the cost down to even less than the HP dv2500t which was my initial choice (since it was more affordable)... that might be a little to hopeful though.

so yeah, i tried calling dell today but that department is apparently closed today... shoot. Is Monday going to be too late? :err:

Okay, not to be an antagonist but if you had a budget, how come you upgraded everything to bring up the total to $1600+ as mine was only $150 INCLUDING #$% taxes, S/H, 3 year warranty....it would be a pity for you to cancel IMHO

Well, I just read in slickdeals about the first cancellation AFTER getting a confirmation email - guy checked his online status and it simply stated "cancelled" so I guess I won't hold my breath as it is a long time before its ship date of 8/20 !

Well, if you have a laptop now, I definitely wouldn't sell it or return it until the M1330 is actually on your doorstep. I have even read of Dell cancelling an order while it's on the delivery truck !!! So, yeah, don't hold your breath even if you attend Drake University.

uf deal is dead too. They raised the prices of their upgrade a lot. The same computer that I order for about 1500 with taxes is 1700-1800 after taxes.

Tell me you're kidding here.. You almost maxed out the specs for $1700 with the uni discount which normally would have costed you around $2200-2300?
And you want to cancel this, why?

My M1210 order was cancelled last week on the day of est. shipment. Just because its in production doesn't mean anything. I have spoken with 3 different dell reps and all 3 said that the orders from Drake would be cancelled.

Uhh because i've got to have the LED screen.. duh :p

But really, besides the m1330's build quality and sexiness i could have gotten a similar dv2500t for quite a bit cheaper... so if i'm gonna go for this m1330 i'm going to add to it the things that a dv2500t wouldn't have. (plus i wanted the T7300 cpu... but that i can possibly ask them to downgrade too... if necessary.. hehe)

Also, even though its probably really worth that much, and the deal i got was awesome, i feel that personally $1600 or even $1500 is too much for a laptop... that's just me.

Well apparently that's what others have done. And i didn't say i needed shipping or tax removed; that would just be like a bonus.

... that is if these orders aren't canceled. My hopes aren't too high yet.

Its deserved. The majority of those people only purchase to resell on ebay or craigslist.

What they ordered was atrocious, they're only concern was getting it as cheap as possible.

No 8400m, no led lcd, no bluetooth 2.0, some even grabbed g wireless cards.

Whats the point of getting one of the newest laptops out without all of the latest advances. You might as well go to best buy and drop $600 on whatevers on sale.

Believe me if I knew I wouldn't be so pissed with Dell. So they reordered it for me and I pretty much got the 9cell battery, DVD burner, auto/air/adapter, 2.0 processor, and a 200 dollar coupon for free. So i'm not complainin.

Edit:Oh and I forgot free next day air.

Still no order confirmation for me. I ordered about 8:30pm or so on June 28th. When I called in they couldn't find the order and the rep said "they weren't going through." But I haven't received a cancellation notice either.

Anyone suggest any numbers to call to get this moved along?? Because it seems like they cannot do anything without an order/customer number.

My M1330 got confirmed, but I didnt get an order number, just a customer number. Should I call in with my customer number to get my order numbers or will they cancel my order if I do that?

    thanks

***EDIT*** Got the Order Number... is it possible to cancel the extended warranty on the computer? How much would that save?

Dell reps generally know very little. You wouldn't believe how many reps I had to speak to and go through to fix a simple issue of them actually applying a credit to my Dell preferred account when the item had been returned and I had received a confirmation number for refund 3 months earlier.

If you got it with an the 3 year warranty then I would leave it. You didn't pay that much to upgrade to the 3 year warranty considering the deal you got and this is an expensive laptop only to have a 1 year warranty.

Hey, so you telling me that if they cancel mine that's already in production, I might get FREE UPGRADES?

As for what we SHOULD EXPECT, I just read this in my confirmation email though which dampened my mood a tad...nothing I didn't already know but it's there in black and white :

"Please note that Dell cannot be responsible for pricing or other errors, and reserves the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors."

i can't find this. I have tried different schools. What is a Drake link? For example when i do it for California State University Northridge i get taken to the page and all it offers me is the D820 and none of the links point to any other options and n mention of the m1330 anywhere

nm i figured out the drake school etc but even when i go i click on full catelog and i don't see any discount link and i can't find a way toget his discount
