i'm currently using the v3 bios mod, stock and 0.83v, it runs stable.
    how come?
    golden chip?
can it crash later if the chip degrades?

    @djjonastybe

can you make an v4 or v5 with 0.83v, please? :)

    good job.

Yea its fully playable and amazing graphics..
    :p
If it lags in your system then you can lower down the graphic settings to make it run smooth....
Even playable on full HD 1920x1080 resolution with ultra graphics except one option turned off...

Plug the laptop upto an external monitor via HDMI, then run WEI again.

Only aiming for 5.9, your not very ambitous... lol
I get 6.8 for my i5 CPU, Desktop Graphics and Gaming Graphics
    7.3 for memory (8GB)
    7.8 for harddrive (240GB SSD)

Hello everybody, i just can't understand one thing. I've updated to the latest bios mod but in MSI Afterburner i just don't have the shader options all of you have. My Gpu is the same 525 all of you have in an inspiron 5110 with i7 inside but why can't I set the shader option?

Thank you in advance for the response

    22-24 fps at high
    16 fps at ultra

    everythin at stock clocks,
i ll oc it couple years later when it will struggle with latest titles,
also dont know why but bf3 temps are 82°c while fifa 12 is more at 88°c.
    I have disabled turboboost.

Need some help over here ....

    Hello guys ,

my laptop sucks badly with bf3 high temps ..... it reaches 95 C and then i notice a fps drop

i flashed my laptop with the bios released here called stock 0.83v it has lowered the temps and the max temp i get now in bf3 is 89 c .... game does not lag when i am lower than 85 c

but 89 c is still too high and i feel fps drop after a while when the gpu starts to overheat at 89 c

is there an upcoming release with lower voltage that can help me ? i wish one with 0.82 v or 0.81 v will appreciate it

so may you make it for me please ?
help us on the other side of world in Egypt :D

anyone tried the latest nvidia driver and found that the voltage is now back to 0.98V for 3D clocks?
    EG:
    p1 and p2 stable 0.83V
p0 for stock clocks is 0.98
if i overclock p0, voltage drops to 0.83v.
if i use the gpu at p0, it goes back to 0.83v then back to 0.98v if idle.
I'm using the stock a9 0.83v bios mod.

I will be making A10 fix

    I am however discontinuing <0.9v

So the only undervolting mod I will make is 0.9v for 3D and 0.83v for 2D as before.

Anything lower than there will end up giving problems in the end.

To reduce heat read my FAQ list how to disable turboboost.

new bios mod will also bring the new microcode update released yesterday.

They only update the CPU. I have to manually extract the correct microcode for our CPU and then inject it in the correct BIOS module. This is a very complex and difficult process. One wrong move and I can brick my own BIOS.

I have a new website now.
    https://sites.google.com/site/jonashendrickxcommunity/bios/releases

You can find all new releases there.

I won't be able to do A10... It looks like I cannot flash. Version A10 refuses to flash because of different ROM size. No idea why. I am able to make the mod successfully though.

Those who want to be a guinea pig and FORCE FLASH. Please sign up here. But note that you will be likely bricking your board if it fails. Which will result into calling dell for you.

thank you anyways for your efforts ... but disabling turbo boost means i lose some options i paid for .... and i think it will decrease my laptop performance .. is there any other good solutions for lowering temps ?? do i have the option to return my laptop to the seller asking him to change it because my temps go over 90 c while playing bf3 ?? will Dell support accept this ?

i tried disabling turboboost by the way but it did not lower the temps it still goes very high after 10 minutes playing bf3 even on low settings :(

turbo boost doesnt add any single fps to bf3 so i switched it off and my bf3 temp are around 80.
Check the main air vent of fan,it was blocked in my lappi and bf3 temps hit 100 leading to shut down,so i used my vaccum cleaner to get the dust out and issue solved.

i will try this solution although i have done it before and used a vacuum cleaner and temps did not go down ... but i will give it a try one more time .... i do not care about speed step option if disabling it will help improving bf3 .... i feel that i got a bad laptop coz all others having the same model do not go over 90 c like mine :(

cooler ?? you mean colling pad for laptop ?? i do not like it

anyways there is an update :
just updated to bf3 latest patch and reults are very good .... temps are 80 c max now and does not go up to 90 c as usual ... that encouraged me to flash with the moded bios to gt 540 m .85v and on full load 30 minutes playing on mixed low high mid settings maximum temp is 88 c ... i guess the problem is related to bf3 itself more than being an issue related to inspiron N5110 ? ?

    Note speed step is disabled

Well , you should get a cooler. It will make a noticeable difference in temps, because it will make an airflow beneath the laptop which will help in cooling the laptop.

    Here is the latest beta:
    Zippyshare.com - N5110_A10_beta1.zip

Use the tools I posted in the first post or one of the other latest packages and read their included readme.

This one has the Intel microcode updated from version 25 to 28
    Undervolted gt-525m comes tomorrow with 2D 0.83v and 3D 0.9v

This laptop is not designed to play games... Don't forget that. The GT-525M does not meet the requirements at all.

    hey djjonastybe,

I've been using 0.83v mod so far and it works nice, it's been 2 months and rock stable.
Can you make a custom A10 bios with 0.83v? I will be glad to donate to you if you can help.
This voltage mod is the best !

I've been gaming with 0.83V for the past 2 months and it's 100% rock stable.
Can't you make a custom MOD to help the small percent of users happy with the 0.83v mod?
    That's bad news!

    I've even OC'ed up to 740/1480MHz @ 0.83v and still rock stable...
