I know someone that has 4 in stock, fully loaded. If you are interested, PM me, I might just cancel my dell order and order one from him. It is a few dollars more than I paid but I got a discount.

Maybe the people who ordered through epp and whatnot are the only ones getting the lack of updates on order shipping.

Maybe... I would be surprised if I had a lo-jack waiting for me outside tomorrow. The lo-jack has a est. shipping date of August 17th though (along with the laptop).

I'm guessing everyone is in pre-production? You can call 800-433-9014 to find out your exact status. (I think US orders only)

lol...I sold my MBP this week and am thinking maybe I shouldn't have...lol Nah, not really. The MBP was too big in my opinion to carry around and considering that I am getting into networking, the company I am going to start working for wants me to run on a PC, eventhough I had windows on the Mac, they didn't want boot issues or whatever. Plus, using a Mac doesn't allow me to stay on top of Windows like I should. I have used Mac for the past few years now and I was a little rusty on windows, especially vista, but I bought an XPS desktop a few weeks back to get back on windows.

My XPS desktop is BAD TO THE BONE!!! 2.6 GHz Core2Duo, 4GB Ram...its loaded and it was a scratch'n'dent but it didn't have a scratch on it!

Anyway, back to the wonderful M1330.

    Good joke tho.

I think this was done by HTML code.... would've been much easier that way. If you know basic HTML, then it would be pretty easy to manipulate.

Of course, it would have been easy to manipulate, if infact it was html. But I am sure it is pulled from a DB so not sure how easy that would make it. Plus, hopefully you can get all of the .css styles and stuff you would need. May take a few minutes, but I am sure I could knock it out and you wouldn't know the difference.

That's what I did it only took a minute. In Photoshop I would have been masking things out, and copy and pasting. ;P Editing the HTML makes it impossible to see if it's a fake. Unless I mess up on the est delivery date that is.

@Apple2PC: In Firefox "File->Save Page As.." Saves all images, CSS, and HTML to your hard drive. Then you can open it up.

    Trebuin,
I have an order on hold (not paid as I selected Dell Purchase Plan) from Dell Japan. Awesome specs for 150,000 yen or $1350US. PM me if you are interested. I can give you the order number so you can see what you can do. I have two on order in the US so I don't need the Japan one anymore. I got in before they raised the price of the LED display from 3,000 yen to 15,000 yen.

PS. I am pretty sure that Dell does not send computers via DHL. I always get my laptops and desktops via FedEx Ground and my accessories/warranty parts via DHL.

    My sys has these:
    8400 nVidia
2x9 cell batteries (great for deployments)
    2.2GHz Processor
    2 Gigs ram
    200GB Hard disk
    Backlit LED Display
    Crimson Red

I ended up getting this for $2100, $2500 before discounts

What's the specs on the ones you have?

I just need to get a hold of one of the dell reps that manages military during their working hours (10pm for me) to see if I can have them change the order to priority USPS...

I think they use registered shipping via usps ground...which ground goes through the boats. I'd pay to have registered priority because it would get here 5 weeks sooner :)
