Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped

Those selling on ebay have huge shipping delays as well (as they admit purchasing from Dell directly and having huge lead times).

 

Yea, I check about 2 hours ago and it was still testing...called just now and it's boxing.

Also, assuming I get my in the next few days I will hook the HDMI up to my TV and tell you all if I get any audio or not.

 

This thread would probably reach 1000th post and everyone still wouldn't have an M1330.

I think why do they launch it in the US when they can't even supply the countries in which they make it! ;-)

I wouldn't trust those ebayers as far as I could throw them.

My other M1330 changed from build to boxing today. Although it says boxing the ship date has yet to change from August 17th. I'll be selling it as soon as it I receive it without even opening the box.

I'll probably get it long before they ship the replacement for the one I've already received for my personal use.

 

I hope that direct2dell say something about 1330 today...

the new latitude loox terrible... y would they design the battery to be in the front and if u get the extended battery for that then it sticks out in the front where the touch pad is.

Well that might not be the best design, but I don't plan to get a huge battery...but all it does is extend the palm rest.

 

Sometimes they take the full 48 hours to reply. Its annoying.

i actually had a D630 for a while, built like a tank, but when M1330 came out i returned it...

starting to regret that decision

 

Sounds more like they're *not* shipping out busted laptops, to me... something I'm all for!

 

freebies would be nice! I have not gotten anything but overnight shipping when I purchased this June 27th and paid the full price of $1900!!!!! Since then I have been patient, was never called or emailed on the 23rd like the rep promised, I have not gotten a response to the email I wrote, and the guy I spoke to on the phone yesterday was short with me and just hurried to get off the phone.
If I didn't know any better I would say they are avoding me...

 

When was your 2nd order placed? My m1330 was ordered 6/28 and has a 8/17 estimated ship date just like your's. But I'm still in the build stage.

 

It was actually the first order I placed. I ordered early morning on 6/29.

 

I was considering that laptop as well... but I will be using it for home use as well so I decided against it. I am also starting to regret that decision.

I don´t believe that DELL can solve this delay of 5 weeks sooner...

 

I believe all factories are 24x7 facilities.

They will not have any new info cause we are still looking at 10 to 14 days before they ramp up production untill then we will see only a handfull of people get there shiny new XPS 1330's . Why not keep your order alive and try to sell it on ebay or to somebody on this site that has a Sept estimate delivery date ?

 

I kept my other order alive for that reason. I didn't know which I'd get first. It's probably going on ebay after I receive it (next week?), unless Apple2PC makes an offer first. :smile:
