I have not got me any positive answer yet my other system, the one we discussed, does reflect the Slim and Light WXGA TL WLED... -
Is there a known problem with the T7700 (2.4 GHz) processor? (sorry, I haven't read the whole thread).
In a German (or Austrian) forum some guys were told that there is a problem concerning the power supply (too weak for the T7700 processor...?)
A Dell rep told something about 13-14 weeks for delivery, the other one about 7-8 weeks...that would be horrible! -
There was a post - a couple of days ago? - that said that all m1330 orders with the T7700 were being cancelled. Something to do with heat I think.

-
Why are people talking about Harry Potter...
:nono: -
who is talking about harry potter lol?
-
I just called my Dell rep and she said, that right now no orders for the 2.2 and 2.4 GHz processors are being processed (at least here in Switzerland).
They automatically changed my order from a T7700 to a T7300 processor because of a heat and power supply problem.
They are working on the issue and the T7700 will be available in 2-3 months (according to my rep).
I stopped my order. Maybe I wait for the new processor or switch to Sony or IBM. -
I just called my Dell rep and was told my M1330 will include a copy of the new Harry Potter movie. JK
Anyhow, the Typhoon is pretty much past me, hit the island dead on...one dead, one car flipped, tons of tree damage...that's about all for a Cat 5 equivalent hurricane. Now if we only could do that in the states, we wouldn't exhaust 25% of the national budget on one small disaster. No wonder the Japanese are so wealthy. -
Plus... they know how to run their trains
.
-
I've heard nothing about the 2.2ghz orders not being processed. I don't think that is true...at least I hope not.
EDIT: You can still configure with a 2.2ghz. I think they are fine. -
Considering the Harry Potter movie is not out on DVD for a while yet, I guess we have several months to wait

At this rate Dell will have the blue ray disc option available before the orders ship.
-
Yeah for 600 bucks. Not worth it
Although I do have a PS3, so I've pretty much stopped buying DVDs... -
Are Blue ray's worth it ... more than DVD's?
-
Only if you like paying crazy amounts of money to fund new technology.
-
I'm an early-adapter ... but i think i'll pass on HD-DVD/Blue Ray technology for now...
-
i hope there'll be external blueray/HDDVD drives that you would be able to hookup to 1330 down the road
-
You can already - the Xbox 360's HD DVD drive.
-
correction - external blueray drive
-
Damn it I just go soo excited. I checked my e-mail and a subject was "your order has shipped" I thought OMG, then I clicked on it and it was some 2cent stamps I ordered yesterday.
Even the US Postal Service is messing with my head now. -

-

Yesterday i saw purlator person knocking on my door , i flew to my door and realize it was the WHITE / Green notebook sleeve i order from dell so disappointing lol. For a min i thought Dell God has shine it's light on me LOL
-
which may be balanced out by her helping to relieve your stress
-
I'd say def worth it. I love my PS3's blueray player. It's really fantastic. The only downside is that with some of the movies I have, you can see so much detail that the grain of the film gets in the way of the movie. If you sit at a normal viewing distance you don't notice it, but if you look really closely you can tell it's almost too much processing.
Then again my TV is only 1080i (not 1080p) so I'm probably not getting the full experience, and I don't have a premium (or any) audio system hooked up to it, so I'm not getting the enhanced surround sound audio either.
However, by picture quality alone, now that I have blueray, I don't see myself buying another DVD again.
Which means if I want to watch any of these movies on my laptop, I'll need a blueray player. Not a major deal for me as I'm sure I'll buy another laptop in 3 years and get a blueray player, but just a consideration I guess... -
LOL... but it can add to the stress if she doesn't.
I've watched a few blue-ray movies at my friends house and couldn't really tell the difference between a normal DVD player. Then again... I can't tell the difference between a 1080i / p tv set either. -
I think the difference is really obvious. Maybe his TV doesn't display a high def signal? Maybe he is using the wrong cabling or doesn't have the output set correctly? Who knows. It's almost as vast as the difference between broadcast television and HDTV (it is 480 lines vs. 1080 if I remember correctly...so it should have more than twice the resolution).
-
I'm pretty sure e had the right cabling to his PS3... hooked up to his 60 inch DLP tv....
but who knows.... -
I think I need all of the above
besides the stress.
-
all those things that people said you need are all well and good, but you really just need your m1330. so you'll stop posting. lol =p
-
I'd doubt he'd stop posting when he receives the m1330.
On the contrary, he might post even more frequently out of joy in finally receiving his beloved notebook =). -
I hope they are not going to delay shipping my T7700-ordered m1330 by 3 months
-
I believe it was posted before that all T7700 were to be canceled.
But the poster stated that he got a downgrade from T7700 to a T7300 instead, which didn't force him to cancel the notebook.
I'd recommend calling Dell Support and inquire further on this matter.
The earlier, the better. -
Well, if he gets a real hot GF, then most likely he'll sell his 1330 to pay for catering to her every whim
-
