ROFL
-
Ordered on the morning of the 26th, still in pre-production stage
-
I live in the 14th Day of July right now...I'm telling you, it's sooo cool, but Dell still hasn't shipped my M1330. I guess the future sucks, I'm going to fly back to the 13th.
-
Did you order anything funky? (besides the LED screen)
... and when did you get your confirm email (with the order # and such)? -
Oops ... looked at today's date on my system clock ... but i'm in ireland --- already the 14th here --- should read 13th though - good spot!
-
Oh... so I was right.
-
and so was I
-
Nothing special, backlit LED, 200 gig 7200 drive, red top, wireless N, 2.2GHz processor, 2x9 cell batteries. That's all the upgrades I got. I have no clue what the holdup is. It should have gone it production first considering I ordered mine the moment they were available for order.
-
Maybe the 9 cell batteries... supposed to be delayed a day or two.
-
What do you think of the skin I just ordered?

... thats one funky monkey... to me.
-
Yeah I do not have my system yet, but I am already sick of the red bleeeh.
-
in that case we must all scheme to keep codemonkey from receiving his m1330!!!!!!
-
What you don't like my constructive posts?
-
haha, your posts stand out cuz of your avatar, i don't know you but i feel like giving you a hard time hehe

Evil Monkey rocks.

Dell just emailed me stating that she/he "see that the order is in production". I think that it means that the order is still in pre-production.
I think they are just torturing me... :-(. -
Has anyone noticed this "Dell Purchase ID"? It has not been there since I ordered, and about 10 mins ago it popped up. Is this something new that Dell just added, or does it mean my order is moving up to another stage?
-
I noticed this as well... it happened about a few hours ago for me. Maybe they're going over the m1330 orders manually? LOL...
-
It's just a more broad order number that ties everything separate in one single purchase. For us...that low jack and XPS both fall under the same Purchase ID
-
I also noticed the Dell Purchased ID.
I was about to inquire upon this. It sure gave me a ray of hope for a while, I felt as though the notebook was going to be built
.
-
Does anyone know how long it takes to go from the "in production" phase to shipping? Not including the pre-production.
-
I believe it was stated in another thread that it typically only takes a few days - the build portion takes like a day, then it's on to testing and boxing for a couple.
-
Of course this is just a guess... we will see how long it goes through with the first batch of m1330's (those who are in production now).
-
Yep, I'm crossing my fingers that this will be the case, although with an estimated late August ship date, I'm not sure how likely it will be.
-
Ordered on June 29th. Had July 19th as latest delivery... and today it shows August 13th
Then again I have the T7700 in it. -
OOf... I feel sorry for you. You still have a faster est. shipping date than I do (August 17th).
-
How the heck do you have a T7700 in it?
The highest I saw was T7500 -
It used to be on some Small Biz / EPP sites... but they have since retracted that offer. There are also "rumors" that T7700's were pulled due to heat issues.
-
I see,
So as of now, the T7700 are unavailable, correct? Will the people who ordered them when they were available be receiving them do you think? -
I am pretty sure his order was canceled and they placed a new one with different specs now. People are saying that's what they are going to do because the 7700 is too hot for this machine.
Also 8.13 is the new base est ship date for new orders so that makes sense. -
Yes... the T7700 (as I know) are unavailable. The "rumor" also said that the people who ordered the T7700 were being canceled and/or being offered for a proc switch (to T7300). However, some people have yet to receive this "phone call".
-
In France it used to be listed at launch on the regular web site. Since then it has been pulled but I have yet to get a call/email about it.
My guess is that there's an issue with getting the CPU. Has any other brand actually shipped laptops with T7700 ? -
I haven't gotten any cancelation. In fact I called a few days ago after hearing all the rumors about the T7700 and was told the order is "in production" (must have meant "pre-production").
-
Most likely pre-production :-(. When did you order?
-
June 29. Yep, most likely pre-production or else they wouldn't have pushed the date back by almost a month.
-
I bet that you get yours before we get them over here in the states .
-
Sadly... this is probably true.
-
I ordered on June 5th and moved to the "build stage" yesterday ship date 8/3...I live in Texas
-
what specs did u order?
-
Wow, I also ordered from Texas and mine won't be shipping till 8/15.
I ordered on the 6/29.
Congratz for you tho. -
June 5th?!?!! ain't that a little TOO early?
-

I called and complained about the ship date and threatened to cancel my order, I was moved to the "build stage" the next day. I was told the hold up was an ac adapter and a plastic assembly cover.
-
Ordered: July 3rd
Estimated Ship Date: August 8th
Order Status: Pre-Production
I live in the United States and I didn't order the Slim and light LED screen -
How can this be? I ordered mine on July 2nd and it is still in pre-production. The rep I spoke with yesterday told me the reason for the hold on mine was the DPA account hadn't released funds until yesterday.
Did you order yours with a Credit Card or DPA? The only difference between mine and yours is the color. Mine is Black. Also, I opted for no biometric reader. -
Why don't you just wait in line like the rest of us? Now you bumped someone out of line.
-
I paid with DPA, I was also showing to be in pre production until I called and complained.
-
Sorry, my laptop died and I am without one .... can't work without it...going out of town and really need it. Sad story I know, but I had every intention of cancelling it and Dell helped keep a customer.
