Well... it'll prolly come separate. So that the remote will be still in there ... but you can add the express card whenever you want. That's what express cards are for :).

I got this in my latest order and am thinking that only one can be used at a time. I actually plan on putting the express card in an older laptop I happen to have and convert it to a music media station.

I am sure this won't affect 99.99% of the population but it is still troubling to read Microsoft's answers. I don't understand why they didn't answer just yes or no. The issue is that users can choose not to install Mcafee but you cannot not get Windows.

But also, if the government wanted to install some keylogger/trojan on our computers, I am sure they have the ability to do it without being detected by all the other firewalls/antiviruses.

yes, this has been written about many places since the drive itself came out. I also use to own one for my 360 (i now sold it) and as soon as it was plugged into the computer via USB it required a driver download and bam would output to my tv

hehe I have 1, Vizio 47" 1080p LCD w/ 2 HDMI. I got it from costco for $1600+ tax and it was the big tv featured Oceans 13 in the bedroom.
Costco now also has a 42" 1080p Vizio LCD for $999...
They are rgeat tv's, i have the new 32" 1080i vizio in my room.
I traded my 42" Pioneer 1080i Plasma in the living room for the 47" vizio, no regrets

I didn't really want to convert from mac, but my new school requires Windows. Another factor was that Macbook does not come with stand alone graphics.
Having said that, Dell has been pretty rough with me, took me almost three weeks/countless calls to add the fingerprint reader and then they move the shipping date almost a month back, when they could have added the reader first time I called and the date would have been closer.
I am just hoping that 1330 would just blow me away and make all this Dell c**p worth it!

tiger, that's why i always order online. Ont he phone you have to deal with signal fading, accents, bad service, them not paying attention, talking at the same time, error, you forgetting something. It took me an hour to choose all my options online cuz i read each one and made sure not to miss anything lol

Here is a scary thought... if screens are in short supply in the industry the temptation is going to be to lower the quality control on dead/stuck pixel defects. There may be a higher chance than usual of a sub-perfect screen (though hopefully they dump the worse screens on the budget models).

... um ... scary but I'm not TOO worried.

... "dump the wors[t] screens on the budget models"? There aren't any Dell models that uses 13.3" LCD screens. (atleast I don't think there are)

13.3" glass like this has been made for a long time. The process is pretty well ironed out. I highly doubt there will be a huge defect rate.

Well, I can no longer get an order status. I just keep getting forwarded to an office who's currently closed. I really hope this isn't my order being automatically canceled due to excessive lead time. All of my friends but one other have had theirs canceled due to the same thing.

This time when I called, I got an 'office closed' message. Before, I got a 'build phase' message

Thats why they cancelled mine. They said the lead time was because of the LED issue (see post). Since I had such a huge discount, I had to fight to ensure it was reordered at that price (1500 vice 3400). It was a long day...and they upped me to Ultimate.

Well this is a little off topic but i got a chance to see the AC adapter for the m1330 today. It is smaller and thinner than our normal AC adapters. The AC adapter will have a special tip so that AC adapter only works with the XPS m1330. But dells standard AC adapters will also still work with the m1330. Just some info to hold us over till we get our laptops.

!!! That's the bad date...most of the guys ordered then...but it was via the Air Force EPP.

In good news, mine order is still good and still in pre-production. I'll check again when the office opens but I'm flying tomorrow so I won't have updates for another 2 days.
