Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped

I think I ordered early in the day, maybe 11 EST. Your ship date just seems really weird.. That's a full month and a half past mine. I saw people order early July and get much earlier than that.. maybe it's related to the AF..

Yea, mine is supposed to leave Dell on the 28th. The shipping time is 4-6 weeks because they won't ship it any other way but by boat. I changed my shipping address to my parents with the over night and will have them USPS priority it over...which cuts 3-5 wees off the shipping...though more costly. Dell has about 10 days to put the laptop together to ship it out. I just hope they make it because I have no clue what I'd go for as far as upgrade requests. I've pretty much maxed out.

 

Oh, and I fly KC-135s out of Kadena AB in Okinawa. Time to make lunch. I'm off for the rest of the day because I have to show at 3 am tomorrow.

 

Hello everyone. I am new here and I just ordered XPS M1330 yesterday for $2k out the door. It's expected to shipped at the end of next month. I hope it will come sooner. I checked the order and it is already in production. My order is T7300, 2Gigs ram, 120GB, nVidia, WLED Backlit LCD with Camera, BT, Intel 4965AGN Wireless-N Mini Card, 3Yr McAfee 8.0 , and 3yr Accidental Damage Protection.

 

So that whole "in production" is a lie.. they all say that from the beginning.. I ordered mine on july 4th.. and it said in production .. it actually started to be built july 15

 

Try calling the 1-800 number line to get a more accurate description of your order.

 

I called Dell using my order number and it said it was in the Build Stage

Then I called using the Dell Purchase ID and it said it was Canceled

Online it shows I am In Production while logged on

 

When did you order?

 

I ordered on July 3rd with no LED screen. ESD is August 7th

 

There seems to be stuff updating tonight with the order system. I can't see ANYTHING online ... and my Dell guy called a few hours ago telling me about the order status but he couldn't pull anything up cause everything was being updated.

I would just wait until tomorrow and check again .

Hmm. I just called using the purchase ID and my order was moved back to mid August along with the Lo-jack, actually, the same date as the lo-jack. I then called up the order number for the laptop and it went back to 28 July. Strange indeed.

 

I think they are doing some major updates EVERYWHERE... I guess you can do one last check before you head off.... but its confusing!!!

 

It is very confusing. I checked my order on the 'My Account' page and it says there's no orders in place. But, when I click on the Order Status page, it lists my order.

Sadly it still shows September 6 as my ship date.

 

Man, your wait is longer than mine. I say we all sue for mental damages caused by this long wait

 

Yea... give it time. It should be all okay tomorrow morning (I hope) maybe with some surprises ( I double hope ).

 

thats a quadruple tall order you got there. i'm pessimistic at this point.

 

I ordered with Dell Rep yesterday and got 12% and $50 discount. It was in production next day on the Dell website. I just called 800 number and it is also in production. Let's see how long it will be in production.

 

Do you know what phase? It should say what phase of production (i.e. Building/ Boxing/Shipping/Pre-Production)?

 

I checked again using order ID. The xps m1330 order is in a pre-production and the Lo-Jack is also in pre-production.

 

After reading this, I called using the Purchase ID. Same here... It says my order is canceled. Then it asked me to check another order. I input the order number and this time it is in the build stage. Online shows in production.

 

Give it time guys... ...

 

Mine matches with the Purchase ID. The laptop is in build and my lojack is in "build" (how can software be in build haha). Both now say they will ship 8/1 (lojack used to be 8/15).

 

I think the lojack ships with the laptop (so it goes through the same phases). My guess though...

 

groovy. when did you order yours? what was the original estimated ship date for the laptop? come-on, spill the beans...

Arghhh... dell's order status page is driving me nutz.

i'm heading to bed, wake me september 6th, when the laptop comes in.

 

Close I ordered 6/27 with an estimated ship date of 8/1 (only the lojack software was to ship on 8/15).

EDIT: Before everyone asks haha...I had the LED screen, 2.2ghz processor, nvidia graphics, 2 gigs of ram and 6 cell bat.

 

It might be a better day when you wake up ...

 

checked online, it says in production. called using order number, says in production and currently in build stage. called using purchase ID, says pre-production. WTH?!?! Which am I supposed to believe?

I (and I bet many others) can't keep up w/this thread w/the amount of off topic chatter (air tankers, airplanes, piracy, anti-virus software, etc.). On 7/17/07 alone, there were *219* posts, most of which were off-topic or didn't provide any useful updates.

yeah issues suck...especially with dell and trying to get them to give me a refund on an extended warranty I got for my old laptop...just going to use that warranty money to pay off the 1330....but nooooooooooo its been a whole week and they cant figure it out

yeah i actually got CHARGED 4 cents because the first rep tried to refund me the original warranty that came with my laptop...then 2nd rep couldnt find the account I used to purchase the extended warranty, and now I have to call again because I have to go through their 3rd party they use for warranties to get the refund...and the phone number he gave me goes right back to dell ( i guess a different department)

 

Cousin ordered an m1330 yesterday and its already in the "build" stage......

 

*sigh*... No news is usually good news I guess.

 

Or people are just busier today at work...unlike me lol....being an intern is great
