Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped

I think cause the order system probably updates ONCE per day (around 10 AM EST I'm guessing) except when it ships.

That's my suspicion...

 

Maybe Dell decided that in order to speed up shipments that they could cut out the testing phase...

Yea... I don't see that happening.

Its crucial that they test memory and such. I would expect that level of quality check on an XPS system.

Like one of the previous poster said, it only takes about 1-3 hours to test these systems.

 

still in build stage here. I am guessing tomorrow is when the first units go into ship stage. Tuesday next week is when some lucky person here will post something like...

Unfortunately that person will be the reviewer who works for www.willitblend.com .. and proceeds to answer the question we all need desperately answered.

 

What a waste of an m1330... there are technologically deprived kids in China that could've used that laptop. LOL...

... but I believe the same thing ... a few people will head to the boxing stage while even more people will arrive at testing.

 

I've been in the "build" stage since last week. Ordered the 26th of June.

If orders placed after mine ship, and Dell bills me before I have my computer, I'll have a few choice words for them. Needless to say I'll raise some hell.

 

eh they are OK but 14.1 is far too big for me, hell 13.3 is pushing it if i could have the m1330 with all its options, ports, specs, power, etc in a 12.1 or even 11.1 i would rather have that!

 

I have a feeling that you should go to testing soon....

I'm hoping so man...I'm hoping we all get our laptops well before the end of August. I know we'll all be suuuuper stoked about the m1330 and glad we waited to get it!

 

Try checking tomorrow morning at around 10 am... I'm hoping to change tomorrow morning too .

Don't worry. Dell has only called me once in 5-years. That was after I purchased (10) 700m laptops with the $750 off $1500 coupon that used to resurface every once in a while. The Dell rep called to see if I was interested in more units. I had to decline since my office and friends were already outfitted with new gear. That was before Dell opened up the stupid Dell Kiosks in every state and plenty were tax exempt.

 

NOOOOOOOOOOO WAYYYYYYYYYYY....

 

I just called the 800 number. I almost fell out of my chair!

Well... he would have the responsibility of posting results... doing tests... measuring with a 9 cell... etc etc etc . I hope he gets it first. ...

Mine started the production stage the 13th.. and I havent left BUILD

wtf!

 

A lot of people are still stuck on BUILD (only two people here are through testing/boxing)....

... and most are still in pre-production. So patience... for those of us in BUILD ...

Ok, ok. I can measure. I am not getting the 9 cell though. I decided to stick with the 6 cell and buy an ebay 9 cell in a few months.

I think Dell's going to roll these out a lot quicker than everyone thinks. Yeah, the lead times are longer than usual but given Dell's history, we will all get them sooner than we thought. Think of all the love Dell will feel when that happens.

Lol, I'm pretty sure that all those who have been frustrated beyond belief would be rejoicing at Dell's name for getting their system early.
I know for sure, I'd love Dell if I do get my system early.

Sure hope the notebooks arrive earlier (positive thinking).

 

I'll just state right now that I have no faith. lol. Prove me wrong, Dell.

 

Well.. i'm on week 3... pretty soon going on week 4. Even if I get it "early"... I won't be too thrilled about it.

I just don't see how hers is already at Boxing when she has a high end system and ordered after most of us.

I may be the only person who's posted it, but I doubt I'm the only person in boxing. I ordered on June 28th originally and made a couple of minor changes.

And even though I'm in boxing my ship date of 8/3 has yet to change.

 

I won't even respond to this other than to say I won't respond to it.

 

There's a few other ppl in TESTING....

 

Has any heard about any update from Kickace. I remember that he bought his m1330 from an ebay auction stating that it will definitely ship out tomorrow.

 

I am not calling you a liar, I just don't understand Dell's picking and choosing of which system goes before which.

 

No kidding, right? I almost bought from that guy days before kickace but I was a little skeptical so I went with Dell.

 

My order is confirmed on the 29th of June, and set to ship on August 3rd, haven't made any changes to it... It is still in Building. Dunno what's up, must just be that mine ended up in a slow team.

 

Guys, I don't think she's lying. I think it's just that Dell doesn't do this evenly. In an ideal situation where they don't have tons of problems with orders or stock, nobody would really notice but with things as slow as they are, the unevenness of the system shows through.

 

hopefully more will go into testing or even "boxing" tomorrow.

 

I'm a little curious as why you have part numbers for both the standard CCFL LCD screen(5597) and the LCD-LED (5583)screen in your order?

 

That's why I asked her what Dell division she got her computer from. It might have something to do with it.

 

Dell better get their act together, I hear the Vaio (not going to give away the model as I want to possibly order one) is available and in stock for about the same price with the following.

13.3, LED backlight, 2GB RAM, T7500 2.2GHz Santa Rosa and the dual GPU.

 

I noticed that the other day but didn't say anything...hmmm

 

Huh....so could it be because Dell just shipped her the standard CCFL display.
