Probably!!! lol, that would suck!

I emailed the sales rep and he said the order is for the LED. I believe I read that some others who changed their orders had it show up this way too.
I look at it positively though. If they don't ship the LED I will be getting some $$ off when they correct the error and ship me the right one. -
So, you gonna call or just hope for the best?
-
Well... its too late to modify the order.
-
My laptop has been in the build stage for almost a week. I called Dell today and he said my laptop could very likely ship out tomorrow(My ship date is 8/22 ordered on 6/28) and be at my door by Monday. However, I don't believe him. But their might be hope for us. I don't know if any of you have experienced this, but I keep getting calls from a chic at dell telling me my order is still going through.
-
I have yet to receive a call from Dell.
-
The quickest way to tell is to call Dell CS and ask for the service tag assigned to the system and then enter it into your Dell online account system list. It should list all the parts used to assemble the computer. The service tag number might not be available until right before it ships though.

This might not be on topic... but do ya'll realize how massive and quickly this topic has grown? i think its like the biggest on the entire site... ever...
-
I almost bought a Sony tonight and I am glad I held out, just in case something happens tomorrow!

The funny thing is that I hated this forum when I first joined and now I love it...lol Anyway, back on topic.

Not so quiet anymore, huh
I have yet to receive an update on my order. All I know is that it is in the build stage. My order was made on the 17th of this month, which was 3 days ago, so I really shouldn't be expecting anything this week or next week for that matter. Bummer. -
Ok so here goes my saga:
I ordered a T61 from Lenovo on May 17. Oh it was going to be wonderful. so what if the screen is offset, it was gonna be l33t with the santa rosa. After my first estimated ship date of June 11 passed, suddenly my ship date changed to *AUGUST* 3rd. A Lenovo rep explained that the new ship date was bogus and they were having a glitch in the system. My laptop should be shipped soon. Well, it wasn't. 45 minute hold times for cusomer service, being lied to by numerous reps, and people already having their t61 that ordered it AFTER me, I was angry and sad... (I still hadn't received my laptop in late June )
Until the m1330 came out. Well cancel that farce of an IBM, I want the new hotness. June 27th I ordered the m1330. August 1st ship date, "build" status right now.
What began as the summer of laptopery ends in the summer of waiting...and calling... and waiting.
I go to Circuit City and I look at laptops, and they are RIGHT THERE. I can touch them. Not like mine, my laptops are ghosts. Super cool ghosts.
But the woot off going on right now makes me happy ( www.woot.com). -
-
-
Well atleast this wait as resulted in this semi-entertaining thread.
And I bet cliegal is in boxing because she is a chick, probably sweet talked the Indian support guy.
-
PS - he didn't have an accent -
I normally said "I WANT MY STUFF! Give me money *****!"
-
Fricking Dell started advertising the M1330 on Digg.com.
How about you ship me my system before you start advertising it.

What the hell I am posting here to and everyones gone to bed, who shall I discuss M1330 happenings with!!
New Theory: In Malaysia it is freaking hot and humid, they do not want to make our laptops because the weather is nasty.
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=122
And it looks like a thunder storm will take out all the laptops in testing stage, when they are plugged into the wall. -
Wow...... You are that bored? LOL....
-
-
hey monkey.. go to sleep
-
It's funny when you are sleepy and just trying to find something so you do not have to go to bed.... but you are right still one more day of work, and checking order status. Better sleep and dream of my new M1330... Elisha.
-
im awake!!!
-
Take some Ambien and go to bed
-
I'm up and trying to track the weather from Malaysia to Florida. Like, see if the wind is blowing in this direction. Make sure there are no major storms....typhoons....angry M1330 buyers hijacking trains, planes ..etc.
-
I think that might me my most constructive post to date... -
hahaha it would be hilarious if the boat transporting thousands of the first orders sinks. i would call sony the next day and order an sz6
-
I'd just wait for the backup M1330 I ordered and is due to ship on 8/17.
-
lol, i think some people are developing ocd over this laptop
-
-
-
-
ya i hope this laptop is no overrated. this is going to be my first dell, replacin a toshiba m30.
-
-
tell me about it. I think it has to do with the mystery of ordering on the net or on the phone. This whole waiting period just adds to all the hype over this product. Whereas if we just went to a store and bought it, i feel the excitement level would be much lower.
-
-
-
well i feel that alot of people are going to get their orders at the same time, very soon! then these forums will die off.
-
We will see...
... testing the new Sig ... -
... so i see ...
-
-
Guess that you have never taken advantage of the educational discounts -
Bah... my laptop will be delayed at least 15 days from the initial 17 Jul delivery to 1st week of August earliest...

Oh Dell is not the worst. HP leads that with outsourcing.
My last hp laptop was sent to me with the wrong video card. I was given an integrated intel vs the nVidia which I had ordered. I mentioned this and was told something along the lines of this:
You video card nVidia.
Uh, no, this laptop has an intel, I would like to have it replaced/returned for the video card I ordered.
You no return. You video card nVidia. You order nVidia. You wrong.
So I just returned the laptop to sales after fighting for that info.
Gateway does not honor their warranties. I went on a 3 year rampage slamming their stock boards with this. They shipped me a broken laptop and I returned it to be fixed. They said I was responsible for the damage and said they would ship it back unrepaired unless I paid. I also had to pay $90 for the shipping for this. The box was returned soaked in the rain so I refused shipment. I was charged $90 more for a second shipment and it came back in a new box. It was dead on arrival because the inside was rusted out. Gateway would do nothing to rectify this. I asked for at least the shipping insurance to cover it, but after I followed up on that, I was told that I withdrew my claim only after the claim period expired. I didn't withdraw that. Since I am living outside the states, I can't sue Gateway, though I was told by a friend that I could have easily. So I just hammered their stock board and watched it fall quite nicely. I also had my own insurance covering the laptop and lucked out with the water damage; insurance does not cover any items that have ever been covered by warranty, just user caused damage and the water soaking worked quite nicely.
My only problem with dell is that they made a pretty poor laptop once and the screen was replaced 3 times during the period of 1 year because the screen was scratched by the keys every time I closed the lid and transported it anywhere. Dell policy changed that laptop to not cover lid damage because the laptop was not meant to be transported in anything but a laptop only laptop case. I sold that laptop when that came out.
Sorry about the off topic. -
