I tried sending a nasty e-mail and I will see how that works out. Because I ordered a 19in monitor, and the Timbuk2 bag at the same time and the monitor says August ship, and the bag says September!!!!!
So I complained about all 3 things...

So I suppose it's possible if the sellers are from UK.
But still, getting it this quickly is far'fetched. -
When I configured the M1330 through the University of Florida's web site, they had the T7700 listed as one of the processor choices.
-
rbg08, I actually ordered one through the Florida deal and don't recall the option. maybe i'm just an amnesiac.
-

Uhm I ordered on the 28th and my sig says all
-
It sounds like they are going to finish every single inspiron before they plan on even starting the m1330s
-
-
I cracked and ordered one today. Estimated ship date is August 22nd, although the rep told me it should ship in about 10 days... I even asked him about any delays and he said none that he knew of - then again I'm sure he was just trying to make the sale.
-
-
As I said, the rep said around 10 days, but the email I got says August 22nd - I'm more inclined to believe the email - the rep would've probably said anything to sell the thing. -
I'd ratter pay tax than insurance. And everyone gets to benefit from public health care.
-
-
so where is the system being assembled at? Is it in UK since the UK people seems to be getting it first.
-
systems for sale in europe are assembled in ireland, us ones are assembled in us
-
Hi I have one already ordered 1.8 Ghz and wonder if I should change to 2.0? Some lite gaming but mostly email net some home/work.
-
-
My rep said 7-10 days too, but of course the confirmation email said otherwise.
-
-
Yeah, I'm in the US too and I'd be thrilled if it came in 7-10 days.
-
-
The ones assembled in the US is shipped to CA, not the US
-
Oh I'd be way excited if it shipped 7-10 days... you'd think the sells reps wouldn't be able to lie about something like that, considering the wait time can make or break the sale for us college students going back to school before too long???
-
Maybe, you never know. What the sales rep said could be considered hearsay and isn't really a set-in-stone guarantee, much like any kind of advertisement you see on billboards and commercials - take it with a grain of salt.
-
I'm sure they wouldn't fully lie about it nor would they tell the whole truth.
According to the site where they display the estimated shipping dates.
Shipping the system 10-13 days prior to the actual ESD shouldn't be too far'fetched.
Since, Dell does allot 13 days extra for any possible delays to fit into the schedule. So if all goes well, we should be seeing the XPS M1330 sooner than we think. -
Murphy's Law = Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
So ... yea. -
My delivery date moved up by five days!
I still have to wait 4-6 weeks for it to get here
I'm still working on that one.
-
But I'd rather be optimistic, it saves from a lot of headaches. If something goes wrong, then we panic. -
Arg, I just read somewhere that dell hasn't even started building the M1330s...but I highly doubt that with some of the short shipping times I've seen.
-
I just modified my drake order today to downgrade the RAM, graphic card, and got rid of microsoft office, save me $400 and push my date from 8/22 to 8/27. Read in another thread that mass production is not slated to start until 7/17. Interesting that dell only let you modified three items on your order. I would have like to add the fingerprint reader, but I guess saving money is more important then convenience
-
I just talked with the rep and my order is still in pre-production and it seems that the laptops haven't even started being built yet.
-
sesshomaru Suspended Disbelief!
Ordered today. Ships July 20th. Arrives in 2 Weeks.
Looks like I'll be the first to get it ..... -
I found a site outlining the ordering process if anyone is interested...
http://ausoladcacm.us.dell.com/ostatus/builtorder.asp?language=E -
lol mine's still in pre-production stage

ERRRGGGH
I'm Having some regrets now. I really wanted the m1330, but I just got a coupon in the mail for Inspirons. I could get 15% off with coupon, 12% off with epp, and 10% off with that other deal going on now. That's a whole 37% off! Unfortunately its not good on XPS. Don't you hate when dell does that? I think they mail out the coupons once it shows up in their system that you just ordered something. -
Things like this happens to the best of us
.
-
I just got a call from the "verification" department saying the notebook is going to be shipped out in about 5 business days and they wanted to confirm details such as shipping address etc. I was shocked considering the manager at the kiosk said they are experiencing some delays and I won't get it until August. I am in Canada and the website says pre-production with no delivery date.
-
-
I don't think the verification department knows anything about delivery of dell products
-
I just got off the phone with my rep here in Canada.
1.8Ghz, 2 Gigs of ram, 160 5400rpm, LED screen, 6 cell batt, no DataSafe, fingerprint scanner, 3 year complete care warranty = 2089.62 after tax and 15% off coupon.
Estimated shipping date is 10-12 business days. He said he can expedite the order - web orders have to get at the back of a very long line. He knocked $150 off the 3 year complete care warranty. And he asked me to pass his info along to friends and family! PM me for his info. -
I don't think it will happen though. -
Please do tell us when you get it. -
-
I also doubt that people who phone in "jump" the line. Dell tries to encourage people to use their website, not avoid it. You get slotted in depending on when you order. A rep also said she'd expedite my order but I don't know if that actually does anything, to be honest.
What does your order confirmation say as your expected shipping date? -
I just called dell trying to play dumb about the coupon not being valid on xps to see if it could be credited to my order, but it didn't work.
Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped
