    Same here then I got to CS in India... was worried but she said they are shipping the computers well in advance of thier est ship date. Mine is 8/23. We'll see.

    Yet another positive tip on the status of the delay's. Couple that with the "mysterious" down time from the phone status system, that adds extra optimism that I won't have to wait until September. Groovy beans. :D

    Mine is in Fedex limbo at the moment. It left Memphis, TN and is now showing as "3:33 AM Package data transmitted to FedEx", whatever that means.

    Doesn't seem like a positive tip on the delay. It seems like it has NOTHING to do with the outage either... it sounds like Dell's tactic on getting customers off the phone. LOL.

    Well just tried the online chat again cause they said last week they would call me back, but of course no one did. Anyways they upgraded me to overnight shipping so my order list it being delivered on Aug 2nd now, but the phone status still has it in build stage, so I'm not to hopeful yet.

    I see. Did you try the Boot Camp thing Apple had to allow you to run Windows XP on it? If things fall through with the m1330, the MacBook will likely be the laptop I'd go for. I could literally go to the Best Buy store and pick one up right then and there with no wait time.

    If it has been down for that long then it could be that they are changing up everyone's status information, or making it more informative in where their orders are in the production phase.

    Well now! A Dell manager just called me about the cancel of my order. I was very nice on the phone, unlike my last few calls to Dell. The manager said that he was putting a request in to the mfg plant to "EXPEDITE" my computer and he threw in Next Business Day shipping, if I would not cancel my order. I told him to keep my M1330 on order and to please keep me posted on the progress, which he said he would. I thought the last supervisor I spoke to gave me NBD shipping, but apparently not.

    Yeah Boy!!!! Glad I hadn't called Lenovo yet and glad I didn't change my sig...what a pain that would have been. :D

    i.e. you've been suckered back in with Dell's common tactics .... (i.e. next biz day shipping + "expediting" the order ... which i don't think it does anything -- cause mine was expedited like 5 times already).

    I JUST GOT MY M1330 DELIVERED TO MY WORK!!! I have the box next to me but wont be able to open it until lunch time... super crazy today here... and I need my job to pay for this beauty... so I'd better keep it!! he he.. I will be posting tons of pics as soon as I get a minute (and figure out how to post pics..)... CANT BELIEVE IS REAL!!! PS: The box doesnt state what comes inside.. so I still dont know if I got the right system... I WANT TO GO HOME!!! well.. gotta go to a meeting... stupid monday meetings... LATER!! :D :D :D :D

    I thought Apple was the dark side...lol I love Thinkpads and that was my first choice til I saw the M1330. But if it don't ship soon, I will be going with a Lenovo. I did just check online and it shows NBD shipping now where it used to show Ground.
