Well you can tell from peoples posts. They all got excited thinking their status would change at 9am this morning. It's not your fault, it's just that people latch onto any information especially with the void of non-information coming from Dell. Now everyone is getting more mad and upset.

Personally I like the optimism. I have been trying to check this morning to see if you are right, but it's down! sigh.

I knew my estimate ship date was 8/1/07 that's why I have never complained to Dell about the "delay" because there is no delay, they gave me a date and I agreed. I only complained to them about my monitor and bag that have delays also which I was not informed about.

I guess my point is that some people are getting worked up about nothing at all. If you ordered online you knew the estimated ship date was 30 days out and you still ordered, if you estimate ship date has come and gone (which has not happened for any USA order yet) then you can seriously complain.

I just like complaining here and theorizing on what's going on for fun and to pass the time waiting.

Overall, take it easy people. This thread is more for fun now anyway.

Just for fun:

I'm putting a presentation about what i did as an intern this summer. Do you think i should put "Checking my M1330 Thread Every 2 Minutes" as its own slide or just as a bullet?

 

It should be a separate presentation... LOL.

266 pages of posting at least needs its own slide!

 

oh yer, think of what you could put into a whole presentation!!

 

I think a slide.... break it down by time spent refreshing the threat, time spent reading, time spent posting. Then have another set of bullets for time spent calling order status.

Maybe also analyze your decrease in productivity from spending you whole work day thinking about your M1330 and the impact it has had on your personal life as well as you professional life.

Maybe do a profile on several of your fellow M1330 freaks posting here (you know who you are). How many turned to drink to drown the pain, how many got dumped by their girl for calling out "M1330" or "DELL!" in bed. There is so much stuff to cover.

I change my first line. It need a separate presentation, maybe a Masters Thesis too.

haha at the end of my summer i have to submit a report also of what I have done...i think i'll leave this out as I want to come back during winter break and next summer...hopefully by then ill have my laptop

USA, I don't gots an estimated ship date, ordered through a reseller that's using Solution Provider Direct. They're badgering dell for me . I just got this email saying it should be here late this week. Not having a real ship date has done wonders for my blood pressure

 

I finally got out of that meeting!! you can bet your rear I didn't pay attention to anything anybody said during the last hour... I'm opening the box right now... LOOKS LIKE MY BLACK BEAUTY INSIDE!!! WHO-HOO!!! ok... i'll be back in a few minutes with some low quality pics (cell phone) of the opening/unpacking procedure... SO ANXIOUS!! I'll be back in 5... PICS TO COME!!!

 

Wow, after 12 hours since I've checked this thread, I now see people who got theirs already shipped and someone actually receive the notebook.

I'm fascinated at how Dell functions. I see people who've ordered long after I have and they have theirs shipped already. But nevertheless, congratz on those who have theirs shipped.

Let me guess.... you googled "m1330 shipping delay" and our wonderful thread popped up!

I hope you don't plan on getting your laptop anytime soon. But in the meantime enjoy reading and posting about why and how it takes a month to get an m1330.

How many people killed themselves after Order Status comes back up and they are told "Build Stage" or "Pre-production."

Right now I am just watching this thread to see cell phone pictures. I hope he has a nice phone like mine. My LG VX-8700 (the flip chocolate) takes awesome 2MP photos. Pretty good video too.

UGGG, automated order status still down! AH spoke to a frienfly cs rep and they put in a request for expiditing in addition to the next business day thing...i am thourougly confused now. I thought they were the same thing. We will see she is going to call me back on wednesday to let me know if the request went through. might be another shut the hell up tactic by dell.

 

I ordered on the 29th so hopefully I go into boxing this week.

GSRacer2102, have you tried calling CS about your order status lately? I ordered about the same time as you and my order has been stuck in build stage. The CS rep i spoke with advised me to cancel my order because it is frozen with manufacturer holds.

Well Dell has called me every other day to tell me that my laptop is still scheduled to ship out on the 30th of this month and that they are trying for sooner.

SO FREAKING FAST!!! around 57secs the second time... well.. quick question.. how do I post pics here? i havent been able to attach pics at all... I have like 15... looking pretty good..
