I'm telling you. Dell reps tell you what you want to hear. Someone should keep a list of parts that Dell reps tell you are back-ordered. I'm sure we'd find that not a single part is in stock!

i dont see how white was...that was the only bad thing about my 9300, that silver/white is just horrible to me....but oh well w/e

How about a temporary suspension?
Immaturity is like a virus, it doesn't get cured immediately, in fact it stays for a while and linger waiting for the right time to reappear.

coriolis, I understand what you are saying but think of this. The place I work for has VERY strict internet usage here. At any point, a member of IT can log into our PC's and take screen shots of what we are looking at. They can also view our daily log of url's and see what we have been looking at. It would really suck for them to be monitoring me today (since I have been on this site all day) and have them check that imageshack url and see what I saw.

 

But, but - I'm an immature teenager! Just not in such a ridiculously stupid or offensive way as that guy was.

I have been in build since last week. I talked with Dell and they now have a shortage of optical drives. I was told originally 2 weeeks, the Dell customer service rep says 4 weeeks currently. Tomorrow is 4 weeks since my order. EST ship date July 31.

he could have gotten many people fired. I think if he just revealed that it was a joke in an non-offensive way, it wouldnt be so bad and a warning should suffice. but doing what he did deserve a ban imho. im just glad im not using a work computer at the moment.

Not many forums out there where this would have been such a minor incident and the thread would have been reopened.
I know a couple of forums where this would have ended in a locked thread and a goose chase to suppress follow up threads.
