What do you mean? Like Nukey said, you can get overnight shipping for free (if you ask about ur order status and such -- see previous threads), but thats their "expedite" shipping. You can't bump up your order in line... :-(. I'm sure a lot of people tried already.

I know, I was merely joking. (Sarcasm never transmits well over the intarwebz.) I think many people think getting their order 'expedited' means it gets some sort of priority at preproduction/production time. Obviously not true.

Were you just being sarcastic? :D

Can you imagine how badly that would mess up Dell if they were constantly shifting order priority around. And like people have been saying, I think Dell has only just started assembling laptops recently, and I doubt they have LED screens. :(

    Dell XPS m1330

    Order Date: 7/03/2007
    Est. Ship Date: 8/21/2007

Why is the Est. Ship Date 8/06/2007 for the same configuration today, 7/7/2007? Has anyone else noticed the ship date decreasing sine they placed their order? Will Dell update you on your est ship date, or will you just get an email when it ships?

I believe that is for the non-LED LCD's....

I don't think they shrink the est ship date on your order either... it can ship anytime before then so it covers their butt.

Nope, it doesn't matter which screen you configure it with, the Dell US estimated ship date is 08/06 if your order it today. Now what it would actually who up as on your confirmation may be different.

    Where do you see this?

I just went to Dell's site and selected the LED LCD. THEN I selected the review & continue tab. It increased from the 6th to the 23rd!

Hrm, you're right. I didn't actually go to the review and continue section and it doesn't auto-update as it normally would if there's actually an acknowledged delay.

I also noticed that sometimes if you configure the system, even with an EST Ship. Date on Checkout. If you were to check your order status, it would actually show the EST Ship. Date with approximately 13-15 days more than originally printed.

But after that I will start looking for another discount or something :p

Does anyone how who or how i should talk in order to get the expediate delivery?

    i mean i paid over 2400+ for my m1330

shouldn't they just do overnight delivery once they recieved from the factory? sigh.

7 week wait is a long time, i expect some compansation like overnight delivery :) :)

You'll get 7 weeks cut down to 6 weeks and 5 days? If it's worth the haggle time on the phone I'm sure they'll do it for you.

    Happened to me.
I ordered with the EST Ship. Date of 7/29/2007.

And after I checkout and checked my order status, the EST Ship. Date was 8/15/2007 instead.

Note: I did not order the system with LED Backlight screen, only the regular upgrades: Processor ( 1.8ghz ), RAM ( 2gb ), and Bluetooth.

Hopefully that means that laptops already ordered will have that earlier ship date too. August 7th minus some overestimated production days from dell is much better than what my order status page says. (august 16th)

If they started building it today (who knows) than it will be done on the 22nd plus overnight shipping is the 23rd. That'd be nice.

My status still says preproduction, but that could mean nothing considering my ship date still says August 16th and my shipping method has yet to change from 3-5 to overnight

    Yep.
Even if the system has started to be in production by today, your system would not be likely to be built today. Possibly, 500 other systems are being built before yours.
So it's highly unlikely that the system would be built that early.

Btw.. i dunno if it was this forum or not.. ive been watching/reading them.. I foundout the notebooks come from Texas not California.. Thats Y i couldnt get the 2 day shipping upgrade for free.. (Im from Louisiana.. id get it in 2 days away) .. well thats wat i assumed about the shipping

and the premier(sp) accounts all show production.. Mine do.. and they wont let us know that stages.. probably thats y we get the 12% off.. kid...

    well anyway.. My specs are

    2GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300 (2.0GHz/800MhzFSB, 4M L2 Cache)
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition
    120GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    8X DVD+/-RW Slot Load Drive
    128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS
    No screen upgrade

    Order Date: 7/4/2007
    Est. Ship Date: 8/7/2007
    Est. Delivery Date: 8/10/2007-8/14/2007

Ive heard its good for gameing.. not top of the line obvious.. and I do have a 27 inch hdtv I can hook it up to.. But I hope thats pretty fast.. cause my current comp.. lags when I have itunes and firefox on at the same time.. its pretty bad

I do not know what your current system is like, but if this system lags when you are using just iTunes and Firefox then there is something wrong with your Windows install. :) The base model will be more than enough for iTunes and Firefox.

What the hell Dell (hehe) the U.S.A. is the center of the world and it looks like we are getting our M1330's last! Everything should be released in America first, then when we all have our systems start giving them to the English and the Aussies. ;) I am starting to wish I never moved away from England I might have a shot at getting my system this month! hehe.

    P.S. Sarcasm!

On my way to Austin this weekend I passed through Round Rock, Dell's headquarters. I'm so desperate for my m1330 I almost felt like running into the factory and telling them to hurry up already. Luckily I only live 45 minutes from the factory. But I have an August 22nd ship date,
