Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped

Thought they stopped including the 7700... not enought power Scotty!

 

So far we have.. about 10 shipped, 2 delivered(3, if Apple2pc's sig is true, concerning codemonkey), and the rest, untraceable.

 

the verve does look nice, but i need that graphics power and lighter weight that the xps has. i was looking forward to playing crysis on it once i get both, but dunno if thats gonna happen anytime soon.

 

They have included them back in the order site again...maybe that issue is fixed as well.

 

It's a suggestion/theory... not a rumor.

I called the order line today just to see and they told me it had shipped!!! My heart skipped a beat!!!

Oh why not speculate - everyone else is.
Perhaps the 2.4 GHz processor is incompatible with the 4-cell battery and they changed their mind about which to block (after all people might get the 4-cell and then upgrade the cpu later)

 

Well, the upshot, the moral, the crisis, the lemming over the cliff of it all is that the robot told me it had "shipped ... on ... January ... xth ... 2005."

LOL, that probably was my box before i had cancelled. I had very similar specs to that, except for the black casing and 160 gb @ 7200rpm.

How does the wireless usb work?

 

Omg yes! I just configured an m1330 from Dell's University program and got these specs for only $1458 as opposed to $1779.

12% discount for going through university
6% discount on purchases over $1600
And thats without the $200 dollar discount that dell supposedly emails to you(I doubt they really do, and even if they do it probably takes weeks to show up in your inbox)

At the moment, you connect your USB device to a wireless USB hub... then your laptop can connect to the wireless USB hub just like it was Wifi.

In the future, they should come out with wireless USB integrated into the device... and hopefully they have adapters and such for a single device too.

 

It should show up pretty quickly. I got mine quickly... but you can't apply it to an m1330 .

oh MAN! this is a true story I hardly believe! I Just woke up because someone called my phone. It interupted a dream I was having where the UPS guy showed up to deliver my package! I look outside and when I see him pull out a box with a giant DELL XPS on the side I freak out and run out to sign for it then run back in to take pictures and post it for all you guys on notebook forums! As soon as I realized it was a dream I got all depressed! Status is down again so I can't even tell what is going on... but I emailed them last night since they never contacted me like they said they would.

Yes I call everyday. The number is stickied to my monitor. It is a big investment. I am concerned. I don't know why my ESD is later. My sales rep swears he sees 9/6, but dell.com and the status line say 9/20. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I certainly hope I don't wait a month after school starts to get it.

 

Vivid dreams like that usually do come true, like how the movies do it. Especially the horror flicks. Except, your dream did not show you the dead pixels on your XPS's screen or the fact that in the box it was the 1210 instead of the 1330 .

I have the non-presenter 8000. I don't know how similar they are but the only complaint I have is that I have to recharge about once a week, but I do have it only like 16 hours a day so that might be my bad.

No, I am still pre production. See signature. I heard earlier in this thread that having a white case would delay it 22 days, but the LED screen delayed it 33 days, so it didn't really matter. I just was curious if any white ones had shipped at all.
