lets not forget a keyboard shortage....
-
wow...i would be on the phone right now, thats not right, but they will probably say that it is a glitch and not to worry...then tomorrow it gets cancelled
-
That would be totally cold for Dell to do that. Its getting harder and harder to say "look at the glass as half full" to keep the optimism going now, isn't it Blahdude?
-
usb port shortage FTW
-
worker shortage...
-
bloody excuse shortage!!!! that's what it is!
-
no, workers are plenty, it's just that they are short on air (too much CO2 and not enough O2)
-
your antagonistic tone reminds me why i dislike participating in such conversations, and also reflects at least one difference between the typical windoZE and linux forum participant. anyway, your comment is factually wrong; gates bought the rights to QDOS, not ms-dos, and i have been programming/administering Unix systems since the 80's, linux for a few years, and windows since its inception. i don't hate windows as a product, but i think i have enough knowledge and experience to offer opinions about the systems. it's unfortunate that windows has the market share it does. it's my opinion that home computer software would be significantly more advanced (and probably cheaper) if that were not the case.
-
mine measures just a little under a 1/4". the ear buds rock!!!!
-
I heard about this minutes ago...there was a small load of "boxed" M1330's heading to the loading dock when the forklift driver put a fork through two M1330's. Unfortunately for those two owners, Dell has to start production all over and they are now out of parts to complete them!!!! Hope it wasn't yours!
-
vista rated this system as a 4.0
-
I just got off the XPS chatroom and this is what someone told me.
Agent (Ranganath TP): "I see that Assembly Palm rest and Assembly Cover are reflecting as back ordered items."
But the weird thing is that both of the people who have received their M1330 and posted pictures have the same finger print reader and black over that I ordered. It just doesn't make any sense anymore. -
the F5 key on my keyboard is not working anymore... refreshing the thread now involves using the mouse, arghhh!
-
hmmm... I thought it would get more than that. my gateway m285-e got a 3.6, and its using the original core duo.
What was the lowest rated component in the rating? -
well its the graphic card that brings the score down
-
what was the highest rated component? the processor?
-
That's what the Asian review site which we were linking to showed as well. 4.0 based on the Aero score.
-
its a video driver problem...a look over the drivers on www.laptopvideo2go.com will solve the issue!!!
-
Tileman: can you post the scores of the individual sub-systems from the Vista rating when you have time. THanks!
-
tileman if you want anymore pics hosted or video let me know I have 2k gigs a month
-
yes i believe it was 5.6
-
wow, if it only got a 4.0 and the gfx was the lowest, i'd off-load the drivers for the gfx and get the ones straight from nvidia's website.
-
vista rating is pretty useless. My 3.6 ghz C2D scores only 5.9... FTW is that all about?

What about the HD and RAM ratings?
-
I thought I read somewhere that 5.9 is the highest rating currently attainable using the Windows Experience index. Yours might actually be able to get higher than that.
-
5.9? Are you kidding me? Isn't that the highest? I thought the highest is 5.6!
-
This is mine. The screen cap isn't very good. It's 4.9, 4.8, 4.0, 4.6, 4.7

-
5.9 is the max
-
Can anyone comment on the amount of light leakage, if any of the new WLED displays? Thanks!
-
Are you joking? If you are, could stop posting misinformation regarding orders, its not helping anyone and confusing more people.
-
i believe him, it'd only be logical
im going to kill dell -
Does Dell charge the 15% restocking fee when returning an XPS computer within the 21 day period? I thought I heard somewhere that XPS was exempt.
-
no they do not -
how much bloat ware is there can we have a screen shot of programs ?
-
How did your order go from the coveted boxing stage back to the dreaded build stage? No wait, don't answer that. The forklift incident reported by Apple2PC explains it all.
Truly, do not trust the order tracking system on both Dell's website or the phone system. Just pray and it will be delivered soon enough. The question is, how does Dell define what soon is? -
Soon is "before I order another laptop".
-
this dude checking out the laptop instead of the girl on the left is every single one of you.
-
ok I started by saying Zindowz, but it was just about the pointless sticker on the laptop. Then as usual some microsoft fan starts to criticize linux without knowing jack about it, you have to agree its annoying!
-
aahhahahah rotfl!!
-
yah ok the laptop is hotter than that chick
-
NO doubt about that .... REPPED
-
Maybe if the chicks were actually hot...
-
rock on. chicks just get in the way. if anyone can catch that reference you win a prize
-
Bleh, those chinese girls aren't pretty at all.
I'd check them out if they were hot but they are not.
The Dell XPS m1330 looks sexier than them
.
-
if you don't like asian chick, ur loss
-
I absolutely love hot asian chicks, but those chicks on that picture are not one bit hot.
-
btw, if anyone cares, I played around with a 1330 dummy at a Dell kiosk nearby, the screen opens up to 160-165 degrees at the most.
Post when XPS M1330 ordered and when/if shipped
