What laptop is that girl on the right holding. That's not an XPS is it? It looks different, there is no black aluminum on the top and bottom, and I think that looks a lot nicer.

I'm pretty sure that's a Chunky inspiron.

 

And am I the only one who thinks that the black on the top and bottom ruins how the m1330 could've looked?

 

OK - I saw someone asking that a long time ago and I was wondering myself.
Sometimes I like to open my D610 up 180 deg (when just reading) and balance it vertically on it's front edge. [e.g. when sitting in low chairs in coffee shops]
Guess I won't be able to do that.

i do not agree i like the way it looks. it goes great with the black and the red. the white might look nicer if that part was also white or aluminum but it does just fine with the black

 

oh i just found out that its 384 mb can be shared
plus the 128 dedicated for total of 512

Mmmmmm. That would not look as good I think. I like this difference in colors. That gives it some style. It would just like too common with the same color in my opinion.

There is little "bloatware" installed. I added Norton because I have it and Slingplayer. I also uninstalled the McAfee trial. Everything else you see is what it came with.

 

Cliegal: Have you tried turning off the lights in the room where your m1330 is and testing it for light leakage or lack of it. I am very interested in that and a picture would be great too. Thanks!

 

I have a 9300 which was pretty famous for light leakage issues so I know what that looks like. In a dark room, looking straight on into the M1330 LED it is solid black. I don't see any leakage. It's hard to describe but it's bright but not washed out in any areas. The display is pretty darned beautiful.

make yourself afford it! it won't **** for a few months anyway at this point lol so start saving your money and order it in october when ship dates will only be weeks out instead of months.

and that mogo mouse up top is nice! i like that you can carry it in the lappy and it charges through the slot but i am concerned with 2 things, 1) it looks like extended use may get uncomfortable, and 2) what if i don't use it all the time and it stays in the slot but is fully charged? will it still drain the battery even though it is charged...

 

Can't get the darned thing to read my fingerprint but no time to really check it out. I am going to be working until midnight to finish a project for work that was delayed by my laptop delivery today.

was any1 else's xps rep a retard? cuz mine was. i kept asking him for a better deal on the price. he raised the price twice up to 2610 and he got me so mad cuz my original price was 2388. he was trying to give me a 3 yr warranty and something else that i didnt want. i threatened to buy a vaio and then he called me and gave me a 100 bucks off.

The Sony SZ are actually a bit thinner than the XPS... So it would make sense.

I am a M1330 newbie, only ordered last Sunday the 22nd, and I have an est. delivery date of August 9.

 

That makes me sick !!! Ordered June 28th and my delivery date is the last week of August

 

Where was your order made? Australia?

 

I am in Australia, also they seem to be a lot cheaper over here as I paid the aus equiv of $2725 ($2400USD) for a 2.2, 4GB, 160GB, WLED, fingerprint scanner, 6-cell, free bluetooth mouse, audigy soundcard.

 

I just dont like hearing all these people ordering so much after our June dates getting estimated dates several weeks earlier than ours. No offense to you guys of course.

 

Or people who ordered their M1330 on July 12 and getting the delivery today!!!

 

Orderd June 26th still in production.

 

Try to order the 4+9 Cell on the Dell site now and you get this error:

Compatibility Instructions Errors:
Your Primary Battery selection does not support your Video Card selection. Please make changes to one of these selections.

Also SHip date goes from 8/15 to 9/4 with the LED display.
