Kum -by -ya.... Kum -by -ya
Geez. I was trying to post this and the net went down at my work and then it posted after 20 post later.

in build now for over a week

32GB is nothing for an operating system that has 40GB HDD recommended. I mean thats 8GB short of what microsoft would like to see and you are then supposed to install applications on it.
If it would have been an additional drive i would have gone for it without ever thinking about it, even for that money. but as the standalone drive for the entire notebook?
No way. -
Build doesn't mean that your order is actually in Build stage. In fact, it could very well still be in Pre-Production.
They just set the Build to everyone so people could stop bickering about Pre-Production stage.
About battery Life, anyone knows a retailer that has Hybrid Hard Drives for sale? I heard it should improve battery life. If it does by a decent amount, I'd consider getting one. It's significantly cheaper than SSD and it contains higher capacity for storage. -

"testing our patience" maybe... -
One might wonder why I'm still lurking around in this thread even though I've abandoned getting the m1330...
Reason is that my brother ordered his m1330 a week earlier than I did and is still hoping to have it ship by the ESD of August 8th. I'm excited that the house will see two new additions to the home network. -
I'll check this article out. I'm sure it'll provide me with further insight upon it. -
-
I have been in build since my order was placed. The only thing that matters is when it ships. With past orders testing and boxing usually take place the same day and most times you never know it.
The interesting item will be when all of the people that placed their orders on the first day 6/26 and were given order dates of 7/26 to 8/1 depending on their configuration DO NOT get delivered. The last time I was thru Dell HELL they told me the day after it was due to ship that it would slip a week , and then one week later it slipped another week etc.. We will see what the NEW Dell does (Michael are you listening). -

it is midweek and direct2dell has no m1330 update. bassem88 is displeased with this turn of events.
-
wuts the dell blog thing that i heard about earlier in the thread?
-
-
-
-
The direct 2 Dell blog site doesn't have one thing thats true on it .
-
-
more memory... less virtual memory (on the hard drive),.. and less paging from hard drive.. therefore less use of hard drive... more battery life??
no? -
I'll show him risk tolerance real good >:O -
-
-
I wish I had ordered my M1330 the day it came out
-
-
-
Yes I did... -
As we all know, Dell can only get a limited number of LED screens, as it's the primary cause of the delays, and it gets more and more exponentially backlogged. -
-
Dell shipping you your computer is based on alot more than the day you ordered it .
It's based on the price you paid and how many discounts you used also. -
-
-
-
-
It's the truth ... Watch people that ordered with educational discounts will be the last to get there laptops. I don't play around with peon Dell reps and only deal with Corporate reps in round rock . -
-
buy a MBP...play with it till M1330 is delivered...then return the MBP...or the M1330
-
blah, are you in testing stage?
