I've only ever ordered through the EPP in recent years, and this is the first time I've ever had a problem. I got my M1210 and M1710s blazingly fast when they came out.
And really, pretty much nobody (1 person?!) has received an M1330.
I will say, I'm getting fairly antsy waiting.![]()

My company spend several hundred million with Dell each year. I mention this only to illustrate the following points.
In addition to Premiere page, EPP page we have our own special number to call for finance, tech support, CS etc. This is supposed to get you through quicker etc.
They do answer the phone quicker (1st or second ring) they still have no clue what you're talking about.
Seems we jump in front of the cue (with the special number) but if you get a knowledgeable CSR or not is still a crap shoot.
Since the web site says the 128 vc is not compatible with the 4 cell battery I want them to fix this (give me a six cell). I'm still on hold not sure this was worth the hassel since I have a 9 cell as well.

So we cracked the 2000 post threshold, then the 3000, and quickly after the 4000. Any bets on when 5000 posts will be hit? My money is sometime this Friday, unless of course, NBR doesn't crash.

You haven't missed anything today. Same deal as yesterday. Two confirmed deliveries to tileman and cliegal. A third delivery is MIA at the customs place. No word on its current status.

So I was building an M1330 today, and their estimated ship date is 9/6/07. What the hell is that about? Over a month to build and ship it out?

unforunately this seems to be true in the US and the rest of the world as well. -
I am still in pre-production. Chat people told me that there are "issues" with my order and I need to call customer service to resolve those.
Been on hold for about 40 minutes now! -

ok so here is my update.
I called 2 weeks ago at which time I was told my est. july 29th ship date was on track, got bumped to overnight shipping, and was told that someone WOULD email me an update ont he 23rd if not yet delivered... That day came and went with no email. So yesterday I wrote dell an email and got a response saying that most emails are answered within 6 hours.... 36+ hours and counting and still no response. Been in build stage for 10? days now.
So I call them up just now and I am told "yes I see that the order had been really delayed" he goes to check the deails why (which takes 6 mins!) comes back and says that my order will now be shipping on July 29th... wtf? so it HASN'T been delayed? but he kept saying it was and that i ordered july 16th and i had to say no i ordered june 27th! He swore it would ship the 29th (a sunday i might add), never answered to why i never recieved my update, never answered to why my email has not been responded to, and never told me why the "delay" ever took place. On that of that he was a little curt! and was just trying to get me off the phone as soon as possible and promised me that a manager would update me via email about the 29th. wtf.
now my patience is running up. -
Well, looks like the big delay was caused by the Dell Nylon bag in my order, removed that and the new date is August 21st. And the guy I talked to, Jose, was one of the nicest customer service person I have talked to at Dell.
Guess I should update my signature! -

Everyone whos order status has changed in any way whatsoever this morning just say "I"
This includes delivery change, cancelled orders, support people putting you off, being told to call another number regarding your order...any way whatsoever that would concern you.
Testing for 6 days...definitely a concern...

Did you know there are 35 Dell CSR's in America?
Was pleasntly surprised to speak to someone whos first language was the same as mine (no knocks against the folks in Jakarta but sometimes its difficult to...).
Anyway we are all up the creek... parts, parts, parts.
Dell is not the only manufacturer buiding machines using the same parts, Mac's, Sony's et al are all in the same boat.
We're all replacing our laptops at the same time.
Just wish Dell was a little more forth comming with status info.

I reckon theres a been a shortage of all different parts and they just tell you whats on their screens.
They promise you with an e-mail or call (which i never got either) just to ake you happy and no complain about the wait.
I called today and although being in pre-production for the past 22 days, they say on the 27th mine will be shipped!
Finally, some hope! ALTHOUGH the site says 8th August still
I said to them on the phone.. "I`ll beleive it when i see it on my doorstep, but thanks for the info anyway"
I just cant wait for it anymore, my inspiron i have had for 2 years now, took 5 days, yes 5! to arrive back then, whats going on here? Surely they should have predicted the amount of peoples orders as they said it was the thinest 13.3 in the world (they must must must have known the possible demand!)
I`ll update on the 27th when it "ships!
