Well just picked up the 2G memory stick, if it ship tomorrow I should get it by Friday. Now I just need to determine if the 32g SSHD with be enough or should I swing the 2 bills and go for the 64g.


I do not store much on my computers, 8g will probably be all the storage I use. So I am thinking the 32 will work.

 

All Gadgets electronic are good! Now for a new TV , and I'm really just drinking water! hee hee

I checked today and it says I am locked out for another 23 Hours, how many times did I enter the password in wrong for that to happen?

I am on the phone now with India trying to get my account unlocked.

 

Big shocker, they could help me over the phone so I had to send an Email to some Admin. I bet my mini 9 gets here before they reply.

Ok yeah I was drunk and locked myself out, but I think the process to get the account back up should be more user friendly.

Oh, I found out this morning that my red mini is on delay because the keyboard is on back order!

Time to eat a lil crow, Dell emailed me back within 30 minutes and got it all resolved. So I was wrong(Dell if you read this I am kissing up, ship my mini!!)

Status still says in production, called the automated system to see if more info was avail and it just says everything is in line for it to ship tomorrow.

I try to not get my hopes up, especially around the holidays with such things so I will just wait till tomorrow.

They keyboard is the same for all mini's regardless of color right? If so I do not see how these black mini's are shipping but your red one is held up

Has anyone purchased the Timbuk2 case for the mini 9 from Dell? Timbuk2 stuff tends to be pretty nice but it is just a little too pricey.

 

I have the Timbuk2 mini case case. I'm a real fan of their bags but was disappointed with this one. It looks a little cheezy. The swirl is not embroidered like it is on their other bags--it's simply printed on the nylon fabric. Also, the "stripes" down the front are also printed on the fabric. So overall it doesn't look nearly as good as the photo (photo is misleading I think). I think it's overpriced for what you get. It should cost about $15-20 at most.

That being said its a well made little bag with enough room in the front pocket for the AC adapter and maybe a laptop mouse.

 

Nope not me..I already have a retro leather camera bag I will be using, until I find exactly what I want. I did order a sleeve for really, cheap!

Though, Timbuk2 normally has some great bags

That's too bad that the quality is like that for a Timbuk2

At least you are able to store several things in it, though!

I receieved my outlet mini today! It arrived early in the day. Snowy white lid ("snowball" is what I've named it). I'm going to try it out tonight, especially the bluetooth to make sure it's functioning.

Downside: laptop arrived not cleaned. It had crud on the lid, palm rests and screen. You'd think that the outlet refurb staff would at least clean it before shipping.

No scratches though which is a plus...

You may want to call and let them know the condition of it when you received it, and express your disgust. You might just get a gift card or something out of it, and they are also made aware of how it was shipped to you!

Thanks, I like it quite a bit. It is about 1/8" thick and has very good stitching and quality. Overall I think it will do a fine job of keeping the mini scratch and dust free. Truth be told though I doubt it will spend much time in the case

It also game me an idea of how "mini" the mini is, this guy is small!

 

I think I am going to go with a Zeroshock case for my mini instead of the Dell Timbuk2 one. I used to have a zeroshock for my iBook back in the day and really liked it, just not sure if I need that much protection for Mini 9 considering they are pretty tough. I wish I could find some in the US.
