well.... i´ve been in production for a week or so. Still waiting for some change =\

 

My xps1330 finally shipped today!! Ordered 7/25 and original ESD was 9/6.

 

My order has just been delayed.... To 19 OCTOBER O_O

Guess I'll have to reorder, because this is just getting out of hand.

 

You don't really know if it is actually shipped, unless there is a tracking number. My order was delay and it was in pre-production since the order was placed. I called and compliant on the day it was supposed to ship. A day later the order went from pre-production to shipped....LOL.

 

well i chatted with dell and told me i might be getting my lappy sooner and that im still in production(building, testing, etc)

 

Yep, my nice lil "personal csr" told me I was going to receive my laptop by the esd of 9/5! So, dang it he wouldn't lie to me to get me off the line. I just know it!

Well I guess I am apart of the club to. Its like watching paint dry... And I am still in the build stage...

 

My laptops still in pre-production when ESD is the 13th , im starting to sense a delay coming on!

 

I also ordered on the 8th MrFixit, and mine was shipped yesterday. I didnt get Bluetooth, or a cam but yours should be on its way soon

 

I ordered mine on July 27. I dont want to cancel my order bc I think that Dell has a good product, but these delays are insane! I keep going back n forth on purchasing a HP instead but I hear a lot of mechanical problems with them and not that many for Dell.

 

well i ordered mine on 8/9 and its it testing as of 3 hours ago... so lets hope i get it on tuesday cus of labor day!

 

im gonna cancel the freaking order. My laptop isnt going to be on time =(

I hope some more of you actually got yours shipped out today - Ordered 7/28, ESD 9/6; supposedly shipped today according to the online status (though all the information like tracking, etc. is unavailable due to maintenance).

Oh, and I ordered (from EPP) the black chassis, LED screen, Intel N wi-fi card and BT, so maybe those are all "back in stock".

And, I did not call to threaten/complain that I want my laptop NOW (I am looking forward to it, of course), though I did call the order status line on Friday and was informed the laptop was in "Boxing", so I don't think I got any sort of preferential treatment.

I wonder is they'll surprise me with a free upgrade to the T7500 (2.2 gHz) instead of the T7300 (2 gHz) processor I ordered since they seem to have discontinued the T7300 which I ordered. I won't hold my breath for it, though I'm grateful it's actually on its way to me.

Looks like I'll be getting a delay here in a couple of days. I'm still in the build stage and it's supposed to ship on Tuesday. Hopefully it won't be October.

 

I can't believe it! My Inspiron 1520 was shipped today. Automated order status tells me I will not recieve an actual EDD until the computer reaches the carrier. But I imagine it will be 9/4 or 9/5 due to Labor Day.

Well, I guess all 6 of the CSR's I spoke to lied again. The processor, GFX card, MATTE SCREEN....none of which are aparently in shortage because yours just shipped.

Ive seen at least 20 Ruby Reds ship before mine now. And at least 75 1520 who ordered after me and they have them already.

 

I originally ordered on 7/14 but they had the wrong price on the confirmation so I had to re-order.

 

Just got my DHL tracking number. Apparently my computer is now in Nashville. Unfortunately, I still won't get it until Tuesday due to Labor Day. This will make 31 days since my order date. Not as bad as some though.

Hope you get yours soon, ThursdayLE. Don't know if I would have continued my order after 6 changes to the ESD. Then again, I don't think I could get a better notebook for a better price anywhere else. In fact, I tried. Plus I didn't have to pay tax on the unit because I ordered when my State was having a tax free holiday.

For what it's worth, I checked my order status at about 1:00 AM this morning and it was still in boxing. But by 9:00 AM the order status had changed to shipping, and my tracking number came at around 4:00 PM today (EST). Maybe there's hope for Dell yet!

Did I not click the Buy button hard enough? Does dell not like the last 4-digits of my credit card? Do they neglect people who used coupons?

I know people have been waiting longer than I have but when I see people with the same components and color laptop shipping way before mine has done anything...I really start to wonder If I did something wrong.

Maybe dell doesnt like that I used Linux on my PS3 to chat to them on their live chat. Maybe its because I mentioned than im a college student and I specifically told them I needed it by Aug 20th. OR.....They just dont care about me ( the customer ).

 

I ordered mine on 8/6 and the ESD is 9/5 which is Wednesday. Apparently it's still in production. Is there any hope for it possibly shipping on Wednesday?

Testing tonight!! I'm still in shock given the things I have read on these forums. Looks like mine is actually going to make it's first ESD. I just home "testing" doesn't mean "testing" my patience...

 

Yay! My laptop was shipped and I got my tracking number! Sooo excited.

Mine is in boxing as of this morning. Hopefully, it will make its ESD of 09/04! By Wednesday, I should have my new system. I'm sooooooooo excited!

As I get closer to my third esd of 9/5, curiously I reconfigured as close as I could my same laptop specs, esp-brown which has no delays per DELL but excludes the t7300 since it's no longer and option, however the Vostro 1500s are still shipping the t7300 regularly. The esd would of been 9/14, but will be 9/24 because of the intel-n card. Doesn't it seem as if one hand is not washing the other?

With that experiment out of the way, I feel confident that my laptop will be on time and will not be delayed a fourth time. NOT!

in which stage can you request to have your computer's service tag number?

 

My laptop is supposed to ship on the 6th, but it is still in build So I doubt it will be able to fly through the testing and boxing phase. I know I don't really have anything earth shattering to add, but I'm really disappointed. I even reordered black so I would not have to deal with the delays. /le sigh

I've had 3 dell chat sessions which I specifically asked if my order was expected to be delayed and if so what was the part mucking up the progress, and each time was assured it would ship on or before the 6th.
