Hey folks, been awhile since I posted since I was getting tired of the wait and getting depressed reading about others' delays... but MINE ARRIVED TODAY!!! See sig. for details. There is hope for all. Unfortunately I missed my testing/boxing/etc date markers b/c it was in the build stage for so long and gave up on calling the phone lady.

Laptop arrived at 1pm today, but my lazy ass brother was still in bed and didn't get up to sign for it when they rang the doorbell.... Even though I called several times to make sure someone was going to be there to sign for it. Now I have to wait an extra day, and if he doesn't sign for it tomorrow, I gotta go out to the DHL hub in another city to pick it up.

 

I would have beat the s**t out of my brother if he did that to me

 

Even though einhander has been waiting 6 days lomger than me, Ive still been delayed more times....wtf?

 

Darn they make someone sign for it?...no one will be home during the day time for me...since it's not shipped yet can I change the address where they will be shipping to?

good thing about living in a building. we always have seucrity guards sign for it dont have to be home.

 

my point is that no one will be home where it's going to be sent to til 4:30 PM that will be my sister unless it's a day where my parents are off which is once in a while......while I live in a townhouse too but my roommate and I are working and going to school most of the time.

That's a true statement. DHL left my m1330 package with 7-11 down the street from my house. Luckily I was notified by email when the package was delivered. I didn't see my package, so I called DHL and found out it was at 7-11 down the street.

7-11 isn't that a convenience store why would they drop it off there....sounds ghetto to me......well I changed it to my work address so I have my co workers to sign it for me They're joking that they're gonna sell it on ebay when they get it! lol I know they're jking!

Yep...7-11. I am trying to get the driver fired!!! I esculated this to corporate level and filled a formal complaint. Luckily I got the package and this white XPS M1330 is one of a kind.

 

I made sure the last rep I talked to changed it to the right address to Suite 4 because at work there's suites....I don't want the wrong person to get it since there's an episode of that in Canada....anyways...I was wondering when I was talking to the rep she said this

"I have also changed the shipping method of the order from ground to priority building next day in order to expedite the process of delivery without charging your account"

what does that mean I bet it will still ship ground despite stories told on here....I will be checking everyday on the shipping address......I hope it's good though.....

 

That is absolutely CRAZY! Why would they leave it at a convienence store?! I must admit I laughed upon first reading this but if it were me I would be mad too. Luckily it was still there when you went to pick it up... I hope you're successful in getting the driver in some serious trouble.

My original ESD came and went today. Ordered my Inspiron 1520 for college on 8/6 and it's been in boxing since Monday night. Got an email today saying my new ship date is 9/12/07. Makes me wonder if it's even in boxing???

Anyway, not really a big deal as I don't even move into my dorm until 9/22 but it would be nice to have it soon. It looks like I could be in for more delays so I've started looking at HP's and Sony's just in case Dell can't get me mine in time.

The delay email was probably the automated one that goes out when your ESD comes and you haven't shipped yet. Keep your fingers crossed and check order status tomorrow!

 

You're probably right. I doubt they'd push the ESD back by only a day anyway. They say a week to give themselves some leeway, but I'm sure both of ours will be shipped within the next day or so.....

m1330 shipped! Original EDD was Sep 7, and it ended up going out this afternoon. Should be here in Canada early next week via standard shipping.

 

So I called the automated order status line this morning since todsay is my esd and the voice tells me my lappy is in the "kitting stage". I ask for information on what this stage is and the voice tells me it is when all the necessary laptops parts have been gathered and laptop is put on the assembly line to be built. WHY THE HELL WAS IT IN THE BUILD STAGE FOR 16 DAYS IF IT WASN'T EVEN BEING BUILT! Anyway I don't think it will ship today so I am gonna ***** to CS and get me some freebies!!

It shipped today on 9/7.

It finally SHIPPED! It's supposed to be next day delivery but the est. delivery date on the dell site says 9/12-14? Does DHL ship on weekends?

 

Got mine this morning! It was ground shipping but they got it here the next day. So far I'm very impressed. I really like it! Hang in there guys!
