    Just shipped about 20 minutes ago! They still have yet to update my E.D.D. though, but I might actually get it by Christmas if I'm lucky! 3-5 day shipping, by the way

    EDIT 5:41pm CST: They updated my E.D.D. to 12/26/2009. Darn, just a day too late to be for Christmas...

    My EDD has been updated to TOMORROW (12/23) but I don't think it'll get here until after the holidays. I selected Second Business Day shipping method.

    So I got a FedEx delivery exception (Package at station, arrived after courier dispatch). Looks like it probably won't get to me until tomorrow.

    Now that I've placed my order, I'm going to call and ask for the 130 Watt power adapter. I didn't see that anyone has had success with this? :D I'm also considering canceling, but I still have 21 days to play with it - if I don't cancel...

    yea wow.. mine shipped with an estimated delivery date of 12/26... unfortunately no one will be at the office on Sat.. so I'll prob see it on Monday.. but who knows it may show up earlier

    Hum there is something weird here. My shipment (with Next Business Day) is going by FedEx Ground and still in the state of "Initiated" since 10AM.

    Does anyone have more informations on their tracking at this time? And with Fedex Air or Ground? Thanks.

    BTW my EDD is still for tomorrow (on Dell and FedEx site, that's why it's really weird).

    Latest info: package has arrived in Sacramento. About 3.5 hours north of here. it will most certainly be here in time for Christmas. This is awesome!

    On the Fedex Site My Delivery date now shows 12/24, however all I see is that it was picked up yesterday from Nashville, TN yesterday afternoon. Chances are that its on a long haul Semi thats prob gonna arrive sometime this afternoon in the NY/NJ area for delivery tomorrow. And yea mine says Fedex Ground as well..

    I dunno maybe they screwed up or something

    That makes me a sad panda... A New to the site, been lurking around for a while sad panda... I ordered my laptop through AAFES on 08DEC09.. with the specs of i7-820QM,8GB RAM,16in RGBLED,256GB SSD, Arctic White, 4x BD Burner, Creative SB X-FI, Intel 5300,3 year complete care warranty, and Bluetooth.... and its still in the build phase... :( Others are ordering after me and only thing that is different is the HDD or the screen and theyre getting them before me... This sucks lol.. My EDD when I ordered was DEC 23rd on dell's site... the invoice came and now its 1/11/10, I called and asked for expedite due to leaving for a deployment before the 11th.. and was told that it would be expedited... Have checked the phone number with the 3,2,1,1 and now it says, Build Stage.. Estimated Ship Date is 5th of Jan.. which is still not good because I could only get the 3-5 day shipping!!! I really hope I get lucky like the others, but I think I'm going to be screwed due to maxing out almost all the options.. lol... This sucks..

    I ordered on 10/16, canceled and reordered to get the BCB 20% on 11/27 and there is still no end in sight. Updated EDD says 12/30 but the phone still says I'm in the build stage and won't provide an ESD.

    I'm reaching an interesting timeframe though. Whenever I do receive the 1645, I have 21 days to return it. Combined with the shipping delay, this will likely be greater than the 60 day waiting period for the Bing Cash Back. My point is, what if I cash out the $450 and return the laptop? Then I resubmit my order with another BCB for the core i5 that will be release before long.

    Anyone ever cash out their Bing account? Do you think this would work?

    Airborne you cant go by dells estimated ship or edd dates. Mine was ordered on the same day with similar specs and it is out for delivery and im waiting for the truck.

    Warrer, this is good news, buddy! i think you are the reigning oldster as far as wait time :D . Good luck to you when you do get it. I got mine and found out that the Power DVD software version installed had problems playing Blu-Ray discs. I had to fix it myself after mucking around with Dell support lol.

    Fedex updated my shipping information, and they say it'll deliver tomorrow, but Dell's order status page online tells me it'll deliver on the 26th. Which should I trust? Fedex, I'm hoping - I want it before Christmas!

    I don't know... we're getting hit with a blizzard here in the midwest, so if they don't deliver it tomorrow, it's going to be impossible to drive until saturday.

    Open the shipping confirmation in your email, click the link under "Track this shipment". Then, in the box to the right, will be a link next to "Tracking number". Click this and you will be re-directed to FedEx's website with detailed info about your package. :)

    My E.D.D. got changed to Dec. 29th. Not really a problem, since I'll still get it before the new year, but I was sort of hoping for it to come before Christmas. Left Nashville, TN 1am this morning, and destination is in northeastern Iowa.

    I was using the system and after about 15 to 20 min it died. The only thing I did was put a disk in and and it died right after that. When I open the screen the keyboard lights come on and then right after they go off thats it it wont do anything. The power button wont even light up when you push it. I am waiting for a call from a tech support agent. Im thinking its the motherboard. Does anyone else disk drive click when you open the cover or turn it on? My M1530 never did this and the 1640 they sent as a replacement didn't do this either.

    I just got mine.. hope it won't die on me.. i'm actually gonna let it warm up before I turn it on since it feels like a block of ice now. I am wondering if you had allowed it to warm up to at least room temp 06voy?

    The weather here was about 70 degrees when I received it so I dont think that was the problem. Good luck with it I hope yours doesn't suffer the same problem as mine.

    ..and mine gets pushed back to the 29th. My XBox 360 came back from repair, and the casing was lopsided, cracked, and not in place. So now I have a cruddy xbox and no SXPS 16. Merry Christmas?

    EDIT: took my dog for a walk, and stepped in a huge puddle of water from the half-melted blizzard snow. With my luck I'd be surprised that the laptop works at all once I finally get it...

    Well, it's the third business day since it shipped, but FedEx hasn't updated me since Wednesday, when the package left Tennessee. Anyone think I'll get it today? I don't really want to wait until Monday

    Edit: nope, didn't come. I guess it's Monday for me, then.

    WOOT!, status updated. Checked my online status under the purchase ID on the 26th and showed shipped, so, got excited and called the number and was told that its being prepared to be shipped... I never even saw the boxing stage! lol.. So checked again today and they updated my EDD from 1/11/10 to 12/31/09!!! Just waiting on the tracking number now! YAY! I get to mess with it a couple days before I have to deploy!

    Okay, if this thing isn't delivered tomorrow, I think I'll explode. I guess I shouldn't complain, after all the order problems people had last month. As of right noew, it's in a fedex storage facility 1.5 hours away from here - they should be able to drive that far in a day...

    At least yours is at Fedex... Mine has been saying shipped now for 4 days.. and whenever I call the number it says that its still be prepared to be shipped.. The EDD was updated to the 31st and I just dont see that happening.. Unless it already is shipped and they just don't want to tell me a shipping and tracking number... Should I worry? lol....

    Check your WayBill # on your invoice on the Order Status page. Should be your tracking number.

    OK, so update.. looks like the statuses are slowly catching up. Dell now has the shipping number on and its setting in NJ with Fedex, looks like they will meet their EDD this time.. pretty cool. I'll be glad to have it before i deploy! Now to grab a 130 watt PS somewhere.. haha
