UK M1330 Order Status Thread

might be..they were supposed to get the screens in today.

Gratz to all ppl are recieving their computer. Me, as many other ppl, who ordered before 10 of july, are still in preproduction. How bad dell is working. I cant never think a big company as dell has worked like this. Dell will lose a customer, but i think i will be not the only one.
Still wainting for it, when sz6 apear in Spain, be sure xps1330 will be canceled.

 

Finally, mine is shipped without being noticed by dell. I checked on the website and found that they have ship it. I should recieve it on Wednesday.
I hope that means they starting to ship really. Though my shipping date was 10/10.

Ordered the day after cheap-information, and mine was just shipped according to the site Hope the site isn't reporting it wrong, will see when it updates with the tracking info. If it definitely has shipped hopefully it won't take long to get here because I'm in Ireland too, so it's just going from Limerick to Dublin.

 

I think cheap-information may actually have the CCFL screen.. I don't remember though..you should of actually had yours sooner if thats the case

 

DISPATCHED ALSO!!! It should be with me tomorrow really shouldn't it or Thursday at the latest? I've had around 5 TV's (replacements and the like) and they have always got to me the very next day, but perhaps they are not from Ireland.

I think it's time to get drunk....

 

According to Walsh Western Delivery Status, my Laptop is still in Ireland. It was dispatched on Sunday. :-(

I guess i won't get it tommorow even though thats the scheduled delivery date.

This morning mine went into Production and now this afternoon it's in delivery prep and the date has changed to todays date. Fingers crossed but not getting too excited just yet.

 

It appears Dell is catching up on its orders seeing as my M1330 has apparently been dispatched and I ordered on Aug 6th (less than a month , so sad that this i considered good service..). Sorry to annoy anyone whos been waiting a lot longer

 

Am I right in saying that all those who've been dispatched in the last few days have either T7100's or T7500's? So no T7300's.
In fact, have many who have either a T7100 or a T7500 not been dispatched in the last few days?

I've told Dell if its not dispatched by the 16th then i'm cancelling and buying a VGN-SZ6 as soon as I can find somewhere which'll send it to the UK.

I know I only ordered at the start of August but I'm getting bored waiting and the prospect of being pushed back to October is a joke.

I remember when Dell used to have Irish call centres. Back then the service used to be pretty reasonable. I wonder how far they are from the point that the Indian call centres piss off so many people that the cancelled order value outcosts the financial benefit of Indian call centres.

Hehe, mine has also been dispatched from Hinckley on it's way to Slough as thats the nearest hub to where i live.

I'm now supposedly being listed as in production.

Ordered on 22/8/07, EDD is 8/10/07. However, the order status lists the product as being in production since the 22/8/07 so I'm not holding out much hope of it being correct information...

 

I was going to cancel mine for an sz680, shipping it from the states will be quicker than waiting what seems forever... however now that dell seem to be getting their act together I might just hang on. What do you guys think?

Personally I'd suggest holding on for a bit having waited this long. Your spec is almost exactly the same as mine and mine has just been dispatched. I ordered a little before you (16/07) but you can't be far behind in the queue?!?!

Got a standard CCFL screen all i could afford did get a good deal though got it down to £740 including shipping which aint to bad for the time that I ordered .

Stu88 not to sure m8 im just glad it's on the way, i think your right though I suspect there will be more demand for the t7300 for the increased cache .

 

I ordered on 9 july, and still in preproduction. No matter what you have on your speccs, because lots of computers with the same speccs as mine have been shipped, while mine not.So, you can wait, but dont hope for no more delays, it is only lucky. I hope mine will ship sone, or i will buy another pc.

 

Someone can have mine when it comes for £980 inc. Or it goes back.

Ordered a black lid, with LED and T7300 on 12/08/07, went from preproduction to packaging and shipped in the space of an hour late this afternoon and is now with the courier. Guess it'll be a few days for the delivery.

Some of the decisions I made on spec were influenced by what seemed to be the availability of components after reading this forum and the dell blog. No idea whether it worked or not, but just short of a month turnaround is not bad.

Ordered online, made no attempt to contact dell or received anything about the the initial order confirmation.

 

They finally got the screens this week..sounds like they got a butt load of them!!

 

sdharris what spec did you order? I'd be gutted if something like the fingerprint reader or free usb modem was holding my order up!

 

Came within a click of buying a Sony VGN-SZ5XWN/C today... I shall give Dell another week.

 

Hmmmm mine changed to "Production" yesterday.
Thats my first time in "Production" ever woohoo.

Still i hope they have sorted out there build quality problems or it will have a very qucik turnaround time back to Limerick.

 

As long as it doesn't have any problems when it gets here i'm not going to bother with asking for compensation..i'm not sure how I would go about it now considering I'll actually have the laptop in my hands and no longer have my business contact lol

Out for delivery today

 

I was supposed to receive my laptop today by Walsh Western, however, my local hub/depot has not received it.

I called CS and the lady i spoke to said they have now arranged a special delivery between 8am and 10.30am tomorrow morning since the laptop has not arrived into my local depot.

After waiting all this time, i hope laptop has not gone missing or stolen by the courier staff :'-(

Mine should be delivered today. For those interested, it's Crimson Red, LED screen, fingerprint scanner, and I went with the T7300 for the bigger cache. Ordered August 7th, EDD was September 20th, shipped yesterday, feeling very very lucky as that's just under a month wait.

 

my status checker hasn't hanged still at the hinckley bit..don't want to wait another day..will drive to hinckley if i must

Just thought I would tell everyone my 'journey' (as i like to call it) with dell.

My Specs were:

T7300, LED Screen, Pearlescent White,
Go 8400M GS, 2GB, Vista Ultimate, 120GB HD

Price = £1,200.01
Price with discounts = £1,030.01

• Ordered M1330 on the 6th July with an EDD of 1st August

• Money taken from my account on the 27th July

• Delivery delay notification on the 28th July with EDD of 7th Sept

• Contacted dell and recieved delivery compensation of £51.06

• Contacted dell on the 30th July to check order status and get offered 10% compensation (they say they will call me on the 5th Sept with update)

Price with compensation = £875.94

Now back to present day.

Have checked online order status and have been further delayed to ................ wait for it.....................................................

Almost another 2 months. If i do recieve it on this day it will mean from ordering to recieving the laptop i would have waited 109 days, that is almost 1/3 of a year and almost 5 months.

Now i have the dilema of cancelling or going the whole distance.

sam_j_w_foster it is a joke really. There are several people here on this forum who ordered the white notebook around the same time as you who are still waiting. I ordered one so did MigHunter who ordered in late June. Matt5cott is also waiting as is evilchinchi so you are not alone.
In regards to cancelling you have to do what is best for you really. I myself can only give Dell up to Friday and if it is not in production i will order a MBP that i can get for around the same price. It is not the 13inch notebook that i was after but i will just have to live with that.

I don't really think the white lid is enough of an excuse to keep people hanging on this long.
Some people who ordered the white XPS in Europe after me have received theirs some time ago.
