Guys....I'm seeing a little too much stuff bypassing the language filter. Please do not do that, just leave those words out. If you have to type a '!' or '$' or something else, you shouldn't put it in. Thank you!

If the 17th as first shipping date is true, i'll finally cancel my order. That would mean they pushback orders from the 3rd July by a couple of weeks, probably another month again.
that would push it way beyond when i need that notebook and i ordered 2 months advance.

I'll try to contact my sales rep about this.

Mine's arrived now but I don't appear to have the sleeve case but do have the headphones. Langer, did you get the sleeve case eventhough you've got the 9-cell?

If anybody wants some gratuitous piccies of it I'll be happy to upload them somewhere.

I have the sleeve! I wish id gone with the 7200 hard drive! The paint work on the top is not flush where the silver starts at the sides. I've phoned them and they said they will replace within 1 day, which I think is pretty good!

just spoke to my CSR and he spilled the beans by saying the new shipment of LED display is only arriving on 27th of AUGUST. WTF??

after realising that i was about to scream so loud that he can even hear it in India without being on the phone, he changed the statement a hundred times and told me that this is not what he meant. i have seriously lost all faith in DELL.

Langer, do you mean the plastic that surrounds the screen is not flush with the lid plastic? Mine suffered from the same problem, two fingers on the back of the screen on the top left and top right of the surround resulted in a large rather scary crack and the surround sitting flush with the lid.

haha - well i was promised 24th August Delivery or before, after having my original order cancelled (see sig). Having read the threads though it does look as if that might not materialise given the new shipment of WLED screens isn't until the 17th August (?)

After seeing that Dell charged my card on the 1st, then on the 2nd delayed it till the 28th.. I was naturally wondering wtf.. emailed dell and have been told that the system is in the build stage.. some sort of progress at least... Believe it when I hold the thing mind.

    Well sur-fork-ing-prise surprise

"I understand it says not yet dispatched as it is currently in production.
The website cannot show any other update as the order is held due to non availability of the part.
As soon as the parts are procured the system will be out of production."

    Just got my M1330!

This is how it's looking so far:

.The build quality seems excellent, couldn't find any problems here
.The CCFL screen is great, and doesn't seem fat at all, like it looked in some pictures
.The camera gives a good picture, and the effects work better than on the quickcam fusion which was rubbish in that area
.The CD drive is loud when it ejects and when you put in a disk
.Vista has run very smooth so far, no blue screens or anything
.Fingerprint reader seemed rubbish at first, but once I got the technique right, it worked every time
.Remote does stick out a little as reported by someone else, but seems to be by design as you have to press it in to eject it, makes this much eaiser
.It's very quiet, no cpu whine or loud fans

So so far, I'm very pleased :)

Perhaps if you two directly compared orders and locations you could get to the bottom as to why one of you is still in early stages? :)

Damn, that's annoying. Maybe it's because of something you ordered? I didn't get wireless n or bluetooth. Did you get either of those?

EDIT: Also I didn't get the 7200rpm drive, just the standard 5400 120gb

Just thought I'd confirm (if someone from europe hasn't already) that the laptop comes in the black case people in the us get, you also get the remote and headphones, which sound pretty decent.
