no no they are both there, my mistake.
-
i hadn't refreshed, wow you guys are posting quick
-
No hdmi or dvi
-
www.dell.ca
Even if you guys don't live in CA, check out the specs, and maybe you can convert the CAD to USD. -
I also got a 8600 GT option.
But where are the processor customization options? T7100 isn't quite what I was hoping for as the maximum option.
Same for Vista Business OS...looks like that might be relegated to the Vostros.
And where are the options for No Media/Entertainment/ISP Requested? Or is that only a U.S. option? I don't particularly care for AOL.
Other than that, not a bad deal, especially considering it's in Canadian dollars.
9400 is still listed under the Business section.
It'll be interesting to see how the U.S. page stacks up to the Canadian one.
edit: Mega-crosspost! Wow this thread came alive again. -
curious..anyone have weight information about 1520?
-
I just did-Base Inspiron 1521 starts at 792 US dollars, not as expensive as I thought, but i guess it's because it has an AMD processor.
-
You know, it doesn't look like a lot of their website is completely updated yet, like on the chipset issue it shows the core 2 duo 7100, 7200, and 7500 all are going to be available for the 1520 when you click on help me choose and then the compare side by side option, just not listed on the site yet. We will know soon enough!
-
i for one am highly disappointed by the lack of dvi/hdmi. at least the m1330 has hdmi -
-
-
-
Yeah, I think they're still updating parts of the site. There are still some issues with the XPS portion (missing images/xml files) and I don't think they've got all the upgrades down pat. Not including digital output is one thing, sticking consumers with a 2mb cache processor is something totally different.
Can't wait until payday so I can buy one. -
I am disappointed in the hard drive selection. I would have liked a smaller drive that was 7200 rpm for less money. I have 600 gigs on my main computer for storage, my laptop doesn't need a 160 gig drive. But I really want the 7200 rpm drive.
-
Nothing really seems finalized at all; I see prices changing like crazy as I refresh. I think I'll go to bed and see what it's like tomorrow morning.
-
I get the feeling the US site is about to be done here real soon. There is no option on the left side to select size of notebook.
-
I think I shall do the same, It seems like they are getting it rolling out now. So I will check it in the morning. I just got a new bed today, so I am going to go test it out. Good night all, happy configing.
Oh yeah, if anyone happens to find any coupons that work with the new ones please post them here.
-
-
Hmm, I just noticed the e1521 is called the "Mantra 1521" when you go to customize it. Kind of interesting.
And are hard drive sizes usually expressed in "G"s in Canada? Or did they typo the "GB" on all four choices?
edit: Another crosspost! d'oh! -
Nope, it's GBs up here.
G's are gangstas or a bundle of one thousand dollars. Hah! -
-
where did whoever see that they are magnesium alloy? Couldn't find that
-
They just pulled the page for the old Inspiron laptops at dell.com. The new ones should be minutes away
Edit: There now at Dell.com
Edit2: you have to click on the notebook link on the menu at the top of the page -
The XPS 1330 is up!
-
http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/inspnnb_152x?c=us&cs=19l=en&s=dhs
they are up
I don't know what dell is thinking with that m1330 pricing: 1684 for base config? -
Weight & Dimensions
Weight: Starting at 6.40 lbs (2.90 kg)4
Width: 14.12" (35.8cm)
Height: 1.47" (3.7cm) front - 1.65" (4.5cm) back
Depth: 10.59" (26.9cm) -
mouseover the express yourself dropdown and choose premium finish -
I am in the regular dell.com not the canadian site. Not impressed so far.
-
Heeey, new laptops!
-
ok thanks I see it now
-
Pshh, my card still pwns the 8600M GT.
-
Anyone else find it strange that 1.5 GB of memory costs more than 2 GB (by $4)?
^edit: That's only on the base-line e1520. Or at least that's how it used to be.
Oh, and Dell University is still on the old page. -
uh.. no draft N wireless cards?
-
and why is the bluetooth an option on the us page, but not on the canada page. And even funnier is that if you just select it, it gives you errors. I thought it was supposed to have bluetooth built into all the new inspirons? But if I can get another $500 off coupon for these like the 1505 i currently have ordered, I will definitely be cancelling my order and getting one of these. as configured like i want, it will be less then $100 more, and more powerful with 2x hdd space.
-
I can't do this anymore, I am just going to go to bed and see where we stand in the morning haha
-
yeah, got that BT error too. Waiting on the coupons also....soon I hope!
eOgas..when the first DX10 games come out...you gonna be bragging then? LOL! -
Too many problems, waiting on coupons, I'm anxiously awaiting what it's gonna be like when I get up. I'm also thinking about going to a Kiosk, and giving a call...see what kind of goodies I can get, what kind of deals...but I'm definitely buying soon!
-
Belgium Dell website: UPDATE! UPDATE NOW!
I really want to check the European prices and maybe order one -
To Liquidx. I told you what the brand was in that post: "Patriot"
-
Is there a big battery and heat difference between the 8400GS and the 8600GT? Does the GT use up a noticeable increase of battery life, and is it noticeably hotter? Now I'm between the 1420 and 1520...I personally officially ditched the 1330...
-
Yeah, I also can't get Bluetooth without getting errors. Oh well.
I like the "Color Coordinated Mice" section. Just how it sounds.
Oh well, enough for now till they get everything working how it should. -
-
Ouch, a loaded 1520 costs as much as a MacBook Pro! Nice specs for sure though, and it's good to see a powerful video card for once.
-
it looks nice and all, but the inspiron's are waaaay too thick.
