What is the estimated shipping date for your 1420/1520/1720?

Mine has been in production for the last 8 days. I ordered the screen that didn't have a delay on it because I'm leaving on a trip and now the CSR tells me

Mine was supposed to ship on July 25 but it already shipped today. I guess even Dell sometimes comes through...

 

My estimated delivery date was 24 july. I ordered on 6 july.

Order was dispatched today (13 july) and got a phone call from the Irish delivery company saying it will be delivered on tuesday (17 july)

Very impressed with swift service, hopefully the 1520 itself will be as impressive.

I don't know for a fact that you REALLY did jump in line , a lot of times they say it has been "expedited" and they mean that your estimated ship date is actually 2 weeks after when we REALLY expect to have it shipped so we will call it expedited

My expected shipping date is 7/26/07. Has anybody with similar specs and order date received their 1520 yet? Mine has been in the build stage sense the time I ordered. Dell did give me free next day delivery after I asked for my order to be expedited. Are any of the parts I listed currently on back order?

 

What in the world happened to my order? Est. 8/1/07, ordered on 7/13/07!

I ordered mine on 07/12. Estimated shipping date is 07/31.

 

My order date Jul 2, ship date Jul 13, estimated arrival Jul 16 as per DHL tracking.

Hey guys i just want to tell you all make sure u call and complain. I ordered mine 7/10/07 and called 7/12/07 and they upgraded me to next day business. Also i said that i did not have time to wait and that HP said they could get me my order within 5 days. I just looked up my order, and boom its shipped today 7/14/07. I just wanted to share with everyone else waiting for theirs.

 

I had 2 orders there are supposed to ship 07/25, but one of them shipped yesterday 7/13. The other is still in Boxing.

 

Iro did you complain to them? I bet they have tons of orders that are semi-flexible in the range of time they have to complete, and if you cause ruckus they'll expedite your order. I am pretty sure they are ABLE to give us our orders earlier, but it isn't worth it/efficient/profitable for them to do so, so you gotta push them to do it for you.

 

I tried it over the phone and got no where cause i cant understand them and they dont understand me. So i did the online chat and then they were so helpfull

 

Sweet. How do you prove ownership if your laptop hasn't arrived yet? I have a few technical questions myself, but I don't have a service tag or anything since I don't have the notebook yet.

 

Just to let the people who received a ship around date of mid August there is some good news! I ordered mine on the 7th and it was supposed to ship on Aug. 8th, but they just shipped mine via DHL yesterday (tracked). So, it certainly was not as long as they said it would be.

I finally ordered my laptop yesterday. I've been waiting to see if any more deals were going to come out (and have the money), and I got that $50 off the 1521, plus the upgraded memory & HD deal. I thought that was a pretty good deal.

Mine's still in production. Its in the build stage. The estimated ship date is August 6th. The only things that I changed when I built it were to add the webcam and upgrade to Windows Vista Premium Edition. I wouldn't think that it would take that long to build, considering I only had two changes from the basic 1521, right? I don't know. This is my first computer since 1998. I've been wanting one for a while just to use around the house. I'm tired of sharing my husband's desktop, and my Compaq from college is so old and slow!!

I can't wait for my laptop to come!! It's green!! I'm so excited!!!

 

interesting...i thought DHL didn't work on weekends, or is it just that they don't deliver on weekends?

anyways, they time traveled according to tracking data. went from missouri to a place closer to my home in IL. 8:36am left missouri and arrived near my home 7:17am same day. cool

 

They do have a saturday option and they do move stuff, i have heard from another thread.

 

Strange, I ordered on the 7th too (same specs an all) and mine is still in the "build" stage my est. ship date is Aug 6th too.

 

I ordered the 6th and mine is still "in production".

 

I ordered 6/26, mine just got out of production thursday.

No production includes the building, testing, and boxing stages.

As soon as the girl starts talking you can ignore her and punch in your order#! She will tell you what stage of production it's in (pre-, build, testing, boxing, shipped!).

My status just changed to shipped...but it is showing an estimated arrival date of 18-20th..which would put it at 3-5 days..and i got next business day...still no tracking number yet

 

Just got through chatting with a customer rep...and it was shipped via Fed EX with a delivery date of 16th...woohoo I guess the next business day did go through after all.

Ordered it today July 14th and it will be shipping on, or before August 3rd

You should get it a good bit before that date. I ordered mine on 7/9 and dell had shipped it out on 7/12, it will be here monday hopefully!

It really depends on your spec though, i'm sure you chose more "convenient" options for dell.

There has been major back orders that delay dell's building by ~1 week at a time. Don't expect this kind of service on a regular basis

mine was 8/7 but I talked to dell and they told me, its just a prediction, and upgraded my ground shipping to Overnight for Free

 

I ordered mine on 07/12 and now my order status says shipped. Woohoo!!

 

Oh and my estimated shipping date before was 07/31! I can't wait till it gets here.

 

Ordered my 1520 on the 11th and estimated ship date is the 25th.

 

WoW D_Avenger, I got almost eh same as you except for the 7.2k HDD and no webcam.

I'm going to call them up 2moro (already got $100 today, don't want to annoy them) and ask for expedited shipping.

 

Ordered my 1420 on July 1. Build started on the 9th, estimated shipping on August 2nd.

I did, however, receive my very sexy blue Logitech wireless mouse on Friday to plug into my lumbering 750 Duron

 

my 1420 order got canceled and they will not reinstate it

 

Oh man, if what you all say is true, then my order will arrive much, much sooner than the August 10 date... (ordered 12th) I hope that it is true...

 

How should I bug them into expediating my order?

 

my 1420 is on courier vehicle for delivery today. I am so excited right now. ordered jul 2 with estimated delivery of Aug 6.
