i called the number u have given me! it said it is still in a build stage, and there is my onfiguration of my laptop.they told me it needs to take 12-15 days to build a laptop, but i can see u guyz computer has already been built and shipped

my order date is 12/1/2007 and estimated shipped date is 12/27/2007.

 

Is this possible? I just got off chatting with a Dell representative online about my xps 1530 order status. After long questions and stuff, she told me the automative phone order status got the wrong status and say my system still in production. Soon later she say something an update from her internal segments. Then she told me my order is complete and shipped on the 14th or 15th. So with the next day delivery I could expect it to ship on the 16th of December.

I would believe the phone order status over a rep. Sad but VERY true.....

 

You're right there. My agent I bought the computer from told me it was "in production" once when it really was being built. They don't have as many details as the automated thing does? Odd.

Anyway mine is shipped and at Atlanta GA. I live in TN so it should sadly come tomorrow unless I go to the DHL place and pick it up. I may be able to convince my dad...

 

Dell reps actually have much more information about our systems and their status than that phone system. The problem is getting a rep that knows how to use the DOMS system (Dell Order Management System).

Haha. Ordered mine december 1st it arrived today. The trick is to constantly nagg tech support about the arrival date .

Well it was nice talking to all of you in this thread, but my journey ends here. I have my M1530. I just need to wait 2 more hours for my dad to get home. I promised I would wait for him before I open it.

 

I ordered mine on 12/7/07 and the ESD is suppose to be 12/26/07 and the EDD is suppose to be delivered between 12/31/07-1/2/08. I called the order status and it said it was in boxing now and it has only been 5 days since I ordered it. Could someone give me an estimate on when they think it will arive here just by guessing?

 

If it just went into boxing today, It will ship Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

 

whats the number to find out your order status? I looked all over dell.com and couldnt find it

Ok I got an update on mine. Mine is suppose to ship in the next 2-3 days according to one of the customer support reps and I should be getting it sometime next week. Considering it wasn't suppose to be delivered until 12/31/07-1/2/08, I'm pretty suprised.

 

Phooey, mine ships in 15 business days. 15 business days! What are they trying to pull? Helloooo, Christmas in on the 25th dolts! Haha, whatever, I probably won't be getting it till the 7th of January anyways since its being shipped twice; once to Canada, then once here.

 

My order status has recently shipped. My EDD is now 12/14/2007. Still surprise that Dell was this fast. My order date was on the 9th, within 4 days they shipped already . Expecting my to deliver tomorrow.

 

That's great to hear! I ordered on 12/9, with an ESD of 12/26, but then cancelled and reordered on 12/12, with an ESD of 12/27. Now I'm really getting excited!

 

Mine was ordered on 03/12 with an original delivery date of 120/01/08

I just checked the tracking link, says it was dispatched today and shETA of the 17th! Yay for me!

I ordered off the AAFES website which is the Army Airforce Exchange store. They send you to the Dell site as a partner store.
Since I'm military I didn't have to pay for tax and the shipping was free so I'm sure that saved me a little over a hundred.

 

Ordered my m1530 on Dec. 8th. Surprisingly, it's in Memphis now with DHL (about 80 miles from where I live). 6 days from time of order to when I receive it ain't half bad. I'm stoked...wish tomorrow would hurry up and get here, because I just bought Call of Duty 4 to give that baby a test run.

 

Pretty sweet that you don't have to pay sales tax. I think shipping is free for everyone at the moment. I even got overnight shipping free of charge. Glad that was an option.

 

PDA, My order is coming tomorrow. I order on the 9th, that only 5 days from the order placing. I don't think anyone have faster shipping and deliver as me . Not to gloat or anything. Just happy Dell ship this fast.

Mine still hasn't shipped yet, but should be here some time next week. Good thing is my PS3 is coming in on Monday and guitar hero 3 is coming in on Tuesday. Next week should be a blast

My EDD was 12/26...looks like it will be here tomorrow sometime. Arrived at the DHL facility at 7:36 this morning, but hasn't been taken out for delivery. I'm assuming it will be on the way in the morning. You should get yours well before the EDD.

 

My ESD was 12/27 and my EDD was 12/31-1/2

It shipped today 12/14 and EDD now is 12/19.

 

mine has finely shipped and with the next day delivery i wont get it until monday

 

Better than Wednesday. Good thing my PS3 and guitar hero are coming on Monday/Tuesday.

 

Someone in here might know the answer to this question:

Does DHL deliver on Saturdays? I know UPS and FedEx both do, just not sure about DHL.

Sucks that they use DHL for their shipments. From my experience they are by far the worst of the 3 delivery services.

 

dhl has sat delivery but its a separate option. i dont think that the next day delivery that dell has means that they will deliver it on a sat. i think that they just wait till the monday to deliver it. but i could be wrong. i hope so or else it would be to me tomorrow.

 

It says it's being shipped through DHL Express. I picked the best and quickest delivery option available since they were all free anyway. Think that covers Saturdays or no?

That would be about my luck. It's upsetting to me that they even use DHL. They're just so amateurish.

About 6 months ago I ordered a Philadelphia Phillies cap from mlb.com. I picked the 2 day delivery. For 2 weeks my cap would leave the DHL facility and by the end of the day it would be back there. I called about every other day or so trying to help them get to my house, to no avail. One afternoon out of the blue, some old lady pulls up to my house in a Honda Accord. I was wondering who it was, so I walked outside to see. DHL had actually hired some lady to drive to my hometown to find it because they couldn't. They didn't even let me know that it was going to be done this way. Needless to say, I have not used them since, and wouldn't be now if I had a choice. Worst customer service. Ever.

i order on Dec 1, until it is still in production, and sp told me creative earphone is out of stock.......ridiculus............

 

lol i dont DHL ships to my area...does that mean i will get UPS or fedex?

 

dhl says that they will ship to any home in the U.S.

When DHL started in my area a guy would show up with packages from DHL and his truck was a white unmarked box truck. I think they might use independent carriers sometimes with their own trucks. Kinda like contracted out. Does that make sense to anyone?

 

yes it does. actually Fed Ex does that. all their delivery and semi drivers are all contracted out. i know this because i worked at Fed Ex for a year.

 

no...just makes me think they suck even more

 

who sucks? Fed Ex? DHl? or both? i would actually prob say both. I cant speak of DHL but Fed Ex doesnt exactly treat all of their boxes good.
