***XPS M1530 Order Status Thread***

Finally! My DHL tracking info has shown up:

6/30/2008 7:47 pm In transit. Fresno Hub, CA

I wonder if it will make it to San Francisco by tomorrow and be delivered? *Crosses fingers*

 

Finally, got some progress on my package . . . but in a weird way. DHL came and picked my laptop up today from Nashville . . . but now it's in Memphis? WTF? It better be on it's way to Nashville over night tonight and on the truck for delivery in the morning.

 

Shipment is still acknowledged... I wish it was moving ><

 

same here Polarix.......I dont see an update on the DHL page so I will just have to see tomorrow.....I am crossing my fingers that my delivery date is, as projected, July 1 (tomorrow)

 

If I got DHL notification for out to delivery tomorrow morning, 7/1, then it should be in my hands by noon of 7/1. Right now it is in transit and is at the DHL hub not far from me.

 

Mine is here in Miami and hopefully out for delivery real soon. Yesterday around 2 PM a DHL truck was in front of my house but it was a package for my son........false alarm !!! Today should be the day.

My laptop is in the local DHL facility so hopefully it will be put on a delivery truck this morning. My luck will be that it will hang around the DHL facility until tomorrow morning.

 

Still Boxing...

It must be enjoying a cruise on a slow boat from Malaysa. I hope it takes pictures with it's built in webcam.

 

Weasel, I think my computer is on the same boat! I am in boxing as well. Maybe they can take some group shots!

 

My Estimated Delivery Date on dell's website still says July 1....however the last tracking status of my order was on June 29 saying 'Picked Up by DHL'.....has anyone elses page not been updated?

 

Six storm, don't worry, DHL rocks, this morning at 4:09 AM my laptop was in Wilmington, Oh. At 8:33 AM is out for delivery here in Miami. Is this a great country or what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got my computer yesterday, surprisingly 4 days ahead of schedule.

The 1530 seems solid, no bumps, I dont think its a grainy screen...

Only 2 complaints (besides taking so effing long to build) are the place where you rest your hands heats up a little (although the computer as a whole stays pretty cool) and the CD drive was kinda loud, but only noticeable if you arent playing any other sounds out of the computer

 

Looks like it's with the delivery courier right now! And even though I don't have a M1530 coming (a Vostro 1500 actually), I'm pretty darn stoked to get it.

 

Getting a little worried now.. the shipment is still in "Shipment Acknowledged" on the DHL website, still no updated shipment status since 12:00AM yesterday morning...

Anything to be concerned about?

 

DHL's site seems pretty slow to update mine did almost all the updating this morning, it even managed to do a 3 hour trip in 15 minutes somehow lol. I called their tracking number yesterday and it was updating even though the site was not. Mine should be here anytime now it says with delivery courier.

 

Polarix, no suffering man, call DHL, they have excellent customer service.

Automated line said Thursday, July 3rd. URRRGH, WTF!!! I ordered SECOND DAY!

 

Mine stayed like that from Friday afternoon to last night. Usually that means that Dell has told DHL "Hey, come pick this up" but they haven't done so yet.

 

Well, after calling DHL they said that the package hasn't even been picked up yet. What the hell, dell?

 

Well my order has now been in the build stage for 6 days. I'm guessing that from what I've read on here regarding the build/test/ship stages that I have little hope that it will arrive before Thursday despite the next day delivery option.

 

Your laptop is most likley in the Dell Warehouse waiting for other laptops to get finished so they can get shipped in a bundle

 

Deep breathe...Just try and figure out exactly where it is...Call Dell have them also contact DHL..to see what is going on....

This is just utter bull**** if I have to wait for the bundle thing/pallet to fill up to have my $1500 purchase ship...

 

Ok, so my xps is now in the boxing stage, but the estimated shipping date is still 7/8/08. How long is boxing taking these days?

 

Boxing took less than 1 day for me.

 

They gave me a link to the Carrier's site, and on there it gave me an ETA of 2nd July (tomorrow)!

Dells EDD was 7th July. So it's going to come 5 days early!

Edit: A dell representative just called me and told me that my order is in transit to the US! Said give it 2-3 days for it to be here.

 

Hey guys! I ordered my M1530 on June 27th, and it is now in the Boxing Stage! The only thing that concerns me is that the ESD is July 29th.

How long does boxing usually take, and does the ESD ever change?

if you are already in the boxing stage you will definitely get it before July 29th....the ESD should be the very (very) worst case scenario.

 

So they don't update the ESD as the process moves along?

 

Ordered my Dell XPS M1530 on June 24th. About an hour later my system went into production and has been in the "build" stage since (8 days). Not sure what the holdup is...

For Americans, add 1-2 days to your shipment because of 4th of July.

 

Mine was in build for at least 17 days, that doesn't seem so long to me....others waited more than 30 days.

 

Should I be nervous that mine was only in build for 3-4 days?

Not that I know of, I signed with DHL for update emails when it was out for delivery.

I have the same exact specs as you, ordered 6/23. Somehow mine went from In Production to Shipped when I checked the next day. I should be receiving it tomorrow or Thurs...

Alright, order was delayed again--- screw this I'm done : (

 

Mine was ordered on the same date with the same ESD, with the same specs as yours, except my HDD is 7200rpm. Still in the build stage though. I leave for Vegas on 8/1, so I really hope it ships before 7/29.

 

Canceled my original order and ordered what you see in my sig for $1500 shipped with an EPP discount. Said it would take 2 days to process my order through the EPP because I guess they'd have to verify my academic status and order type. That was done in 6 hours so I'm hoping this whole process goes by quicker than my original. The ESD also is one day earlier than it said in my original email!

 

So they do update the ESD?

 

I think it's just because my order was processed quicker than they thought. I don't think they update the ESD once it's in production...except to delay it.

 

How long does "In Transit in U.S." usually take? It can't be much longer because my ESD was yesterday. (i'm in Canada btw)
