lol i am definitely not jealous of u guys that are trying to get your 1080ti orders in.
i remember the many, many weeks of losing sleep trying to secure my 1080's. oh, how my F5 button hated me . . .

You probably have a beast for your needs. I'm hopefully getting an XB272-HDR. So I want one now to replace my 980 Tis, then another once the monitor comes out.DukeCLR likes this.

LOL i was like that right before the Step UP inventory went live. But missed it because of a meeting at work. Got my Request in and they shipped it in the second batch.
All in all cost it me my 1080 FTW Hybrid + $55 (To + from Shipping) -
Crazy stuff, I missed it, I was probably taking advantage of the 2XP time in BF.

I can't wait to toss this into my rig, now my CPU hovers int eh %70 range where my 980Ti is maxed out, I wonder if either will be maxed out in BF1. I guess I should also use Firestrike Ultra as that seems to be used more then the basic one.

Indeed. I want one but I don't want an $860 FE card. -
If you guys are going to get FE's, get them from EVGA. At least they dont void the warranty if the user slaps on a waterblock or aftermarket cooler.
-
It looks like the Asus is still $699 but reviews say the stock fan sucks.

Not really -

Didn't see the gigabyte before, I'm more of a fan of their mobos but it has my interest. -

Do most MSI GPUs not use top side screws? All the ones I've worked with have had them, though they were all the bigger heavier ones. -
Support.2@XOTIC PC Company Representative
I talk like I'd get one of these if they were lower priced, but I'm so spoiled by my current AIO cooled GPU that I'll likely end up getting one of those this time around too.DukeCLR likes this. -
Support.2@XOTIC PC Company Representative
That is a good price. I'm rocking a 980Ti Sea Hawk right now, and unless a competing AIO is significantly better I'll probably go with the same for 1080Ti.houstoned, DukeCLR, hmscott and 1 other person like this. -
Always try and get AIO's that include cooling for the VRAMs on the waterblock as well. I think the Gigabyte and EVGA FTW (not the founders hybrid) did that.

This guy said he saw thermal pads but didn't specify where, the Gamers Nexus tear down video showed none on the back plate, just some plastic spacers. Thne performance is quite amazing and I can't wait to get mine.
-
That MSI 1080ti Gaming X sure looks great with 40% performance improvement over the MSI 1080 Gaming X *at the same price point*.
For having only 2 cooling fans, under load it does go to and over the thermal throttling point of 72c with the Boost 3.0, which takes a bit of the edge off in long gaming sessions.
It is begging for a water cooling or Hybrid cooling model, or aftermarket upgrade to keep the temps lower for higher and constant performance under sustained load.Atma likes this. -
I was glad to see the 2 fan design work out and makes me think the my EVGA SC2 will have similar performance. With %40 from the 1080 I should be quite impressed coming form a 980Ti. The 24th can't come soon enough.

A streamer I follow has his 1080 in an NZXT sleeve with a Kraken cooler, says it works fantastic, I'm sure that would work with the Ti. -

Interesting, I'm glad I din't buy an earlier Titan but I think most people who drop the money on theses cards know the game.

I watched jayz video earlier. Pretty funny .. and accurate.

Agreed. There's a lot of users out there that would consider a Titan a trivial cost to have the best thing out there and will upgrade every time something new comes out. -
I agree. If you want the best of the best, you know going in that the card you buy is obsolete the day it is released. Very limited shelf life. That's why I think the EVGA trade up program is a good idea for those that want to stay on top of the best.
In the case of Jay I think he was more embarrassed because he was building a machine for Terry Crews and wanted him to have the best of the best the day he delivered it.DukeCLR likes this. -
The EVGA Elite requirements have been announced, the third is 100 posts, what a spam magnet.
Who Qualifies to be an EVGA ELITE Member?
- Purchased and registered at least one of any qualifying EVGA GTX Graphics Cards as an original owner (GTX 960 SC and above, GTX 1060 SC and above). More Info
- Purchased and registered at least two EVGA products from select categories as the original owner. More Info

100 posts!? WTF. Definitely a spam magnet. That make no sense.
Edit: Oh, it says "OR", not all three. -
Yes the OR is key.

Then I fully sympathize. When you build for someone famous, especially someone who is going to be talking about their system to their fan base, you don't want to hear that someone new came out in the middle of the build.houstoned likes this. -
especially when said build consist of a fully custom loop watercooler.
-
Support.2@XOTIC PC Company Representative
For sure. I mean, you could still sort of delay it if they were going to be coming soon, but if they just get announced during build and there's a wait, that would be annoying. -
