Who told you that would actually work?
    Edit:
Just read your post over there Brother @Falkentyne

I emailed him and he got back to me like 30 minutes late, but I did not have my serial number. After I got it I emailed him back and haven't heard anything yet. :(
Talon or Rageset linked it in here with in the last 10 pages I think, but i can send it to you.

I am seeing like peaks of 513W in Time Spy, so I think mine is OK. None of the "normal" software is accurate. Only Precision X1 shows the correct voltage. GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner are not even close.

The 2080 Ti FTW3 has returned to its original hybrid form the way I bought it from Brother @Rage Set and it has started a new life on the CPU binning bench. The 780 Ti Classified is back on the shelf as a nick-knack. I kept it shunt-modded, but put the FTW3 OC BIOS back on the second BIOS space because that 2KW power limit is going to exceed what the NZXT 650W PSU can handle by at least 100W.

It's still processing 4K, but 1080p is available now.

This is a screenshot of the table I show in the video.

Those benches from last night actually peaked out just over 600W. Looks like the Precision X1 OC scanner pulled over 700W with about 1.250V. Yet GPU-Z shows max voltage capped at the reference value of 1.093V LOL.

    upload_2020-12-21_10-23-53.png

It's nice to see a healthy and respectable amount of core voltage available. It's been a long time.

You were able to pull that much voltage without the classified tool?

EVGA Precision X1 OC Scanner did it. But, who knows if GPU-Z is accurate. It seems to be inaccurate at a number of things with the KINGPIN 3090 and it was also off on a lot of things with my shunt-modded 2080 Ti. I was watching part of the time and I did see it exceed 600W in spikes in Precision X1 and on the GPU display during the time the OC Scanner was running.
No, that is using the Classified tool. Without it, all we have is the chintzy voltage offset crap and the MSI curve tool rubbish.

Definitely feels good to have a lot more control over your hardware.

Edit: It would seem the 520w limit is NOT imposed once you use the classy tool.

Something is imposed as the clocks will bounce all over the place trying to do that in a benchmark.

Do you guys have a kill-a-watt meter hooked up to compare to what the software's are reporting to get a ball park?

600W sounds pretty sweet. Refreshing eh?

My system is plugged into one with a backlight and I watch it all of the time while benching. It's just to the left of my monitor, so it is easy to watch. It depends on the benchmark, but I am seeing 700-725W at certain points in Time Spy and Fire Strike, and steadily 550-650W. This is nearly identical, perhaps slightly less, to what I was seeing with the shunt-modded 2080 Ti. Once in a while that would pull 800-900W and I anticipate the same will be true once Vince responds to the request for the 3090 XOC BIOS.
My guess is the firmware has some sort of cancer algorithm something like a turbo time limit where it pulls back the clocks once the power limit is breached for more than a brief moment.

I wonder if the XOC vBIOS will be like the 2080 TI KP version, depending on which vBIOS you overwrite, you get more options. I'm not sure if it is the same but on the 2080 TI KP, you had three vBIOS modes and the LN2 was the dangerous one, once unlocked with the XOC vBIOS.

Oh that LN2 ..I remember that lol. I had flashed the XOC onto that slot specifically so that it was the furthest click away from the Norm, which I used as the regular slot for other bios flashing lol... Good times.

LOL, I guess you like living dangerously. I wouldn't touch that mode at all. Even though I know what I'm doing, software can/does glitch and I didn't want to fry any of my cards. There were no protections on the LN2 mode with the XOC vBIOS installed.

I only ran it on that combo for a few runs closely monitoring it. There was no way I'd use that combo as a daily for anything.

They should have titled that combo: KP only combo (only if you have cards at your disposal.)

I will have to be sure and do that after I copy the 520W firmware to the BIOS switch in the middle. Everything unlocked sounds perfect. Easier than a shunt mod. I don't understand why the lesser firmware versions even exist, but I am thankful for the triple-BIOS feature.

Well I think it exists because there are those that will still buy the KP card because it is the most expensive card on the market and not truly understand what it is capable of. I'll be watching to see how far you can push the card. I'm really excited to see how much you can do with an unofficial unlocked card.

I had to email Vince back because it will not flash. Getting this error, so he must have forgotten to sign it or maybe had a typo in my SN or something.

Nice! I would love to have one, but that's definitely not in the budget. I'm loving your CPU overclocks on that sub-zero cooling... green with envy, LOL.

Now I have to sell the 2080 Ti FTW3 Hydro Copper and the brand new EK Quantum Vector water block and backplate for the FTW3 that I have no use for. I ordered the EK parts when I was talking myself out of the 3090 KPE, now I wish I hadn't bought them.

A lot more care is needed when doing - temps, that's for sure!!

I have to sell my 3090 FTW3 as well. I already cancelled my block and am switching to one for the Kingpin.
    Side note:
I also noticed you did not really overclock your vram. You really need to up that to get better scores.

Yeah, I did not spend a lot of time with it. I only set a +250 offset on the VRAM and was focusing mainly on how high I could get the core clock. I'm just barely scratching the surface right now because I haven't had the time to spend.

OK, now we're getting somewhere. Time Spy is sucking about 890W from the wall.

I don't know why 3DMark keeps glitching out and telling me I need the latest version of System Info when I already have it. I've reinstalled 3DMark twice tonight. It will work OK for a couple of runs, then it starts doing the same crap again. Anyone else having this issue with their trashware?

Not sure if you tried, but you need to uninstall System info. Then reboot, then reinstall it.

As for as it is now you would click install, then at the next screen hit cancel. Then go about your merry way. As long as you don't exit out of the software it wont show up.

I will try that. Thanks. I may also reinstall the GPU driver tomorrow with this XOC BIOS. Last run for tonight. I have about 3 hours to sleep before hitting the gym at 4:30.

GPU is pulling over 600W now, but the core clocks are lower although the scores are higher. Must be more efficient. Will have to play with the Classified tool more so I can get the clocks back up. I'm hating this cooler. Need the GPU colder than I can get it using that. Need it to be at least 30°C colder than I am getting it now.

About to turn in. It doesn't really matter, but I wonder why 3DMark always says "No Information Available" regarding that stupid new feature about game framerates. Mine does not show anything there. Like in your screenshot it shows BF5. Have a good night.

What are you setting with the Classified tool to get the GPU core at 2265? Like 1.300V?

My W10 2004 is my crash dummy consumer peasant OS installation that is loaded to the gills with cancer from the Redmond Retards and it has the same issue. I wonder if it pulls that data from GeFarts Experience, because I don't have that piece of crap installed. Maybe I'll temporarily install a driver that isn't stripped of all of the Green Goblin's filth and see if the info shows up.
