1000w KPE vBIOS has leaked as I expected it would. Will flash and try it out.

    https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/227771/227771

Is that Classified tool set or what you're seeing underload in Precision X or on the OLED. At stock my card boosts well above 1100mV NVVDD. This is with me touching nothing, I assume this is daily safe for the card since it's doing it all on its own.

I don't think so as I do not have it loaded on my benching os, but it's loaded on my gaming os.

That depends on what bios you are using?

Using LN2 vBIOS my NVVDD will read on the OLED up to 1.2v usually between 1100mV and 1200mV fluctuating wildly at stock. No voltage slider movement, no classified tool usage. Do you also see the same?

I over wrote the LN2 bios so I couldn't tell you, but using the 1K vbios I see the same characteristics as you do.
The reason for this on mine is the memory doesn't downclock keeping the card at 120+ watts constant. The minute I downclock the memory, everything drops to below .0800V and FBVDD to 1.375V

Great thanks. The voltage behavior for me is same across Normal, OC, and LN2 so I doubt it makes a difference. Seems they may have just punched the voltage up on these cards.

In Battlefield V at 4K with everything stock (except the -400Mhz memory) on LN2 vBIOS it sits at 2025Mhz and voltage fluctuates between 1100-1200mV. I was under the impression the max I would get was 1100mV unless I touched the classified tool or dip switches since that is Nvidia max reference voltage. But these aren't exactly reference cards so I think EVGA is pushing them a bit harder even at stock. Totally fine with me as long as they last and don't have issues at this voltage.

To be clear my voltage will idle down correctly around 700-800mV on desktop.

As to the voltage....There appears to be two voltages. GPU voltage and NVVDD. And PX1 is the only one able to read it's "true" voltage whereas MSI after burner can not.

I never really understood that nor how to get MSIAB to actually read NVVDD voltage instead. If you use a multimeter your readings should match the NVVDD and not GPU voltage.

And yes, they tend to have to voltage on the high side in the K|ngP|n's.

Did you flash that 1k vbios yet?

I may take a look and see who actually released it as it's attached to a serial number.

Also I talked to the ABE editor, trying to see when he will release version 5 as that one reads the newer cards while version 4 does not read 3 pin power cards correctly.

I think you mean NVVDD (GPU voltage) and MSVDD / NVVDD2 (SRAM voltage)?

HWinfo64 can read them. Not sure how accurately.

Yes, NVVDD is part of the GPU tree, but why have a rail labeled GPU Voltage that never goes above 1.06 to 1.1V in software? And there is no actual GPU voltage point in the probeit.
In that aspect of things I get lost.

I do remember seeing in older generation bios files a way to make that show higher than 1.1, but not in the new versions.

I am very thankful the default voltage is higher and that you can adjust it even higher. That has been the most damning and unacceptable aspect of missing functionality of all so-called "enthusiast" GPUs after Maxwell. Lack of voltage control is no less unacceptable for a GPU than it is a CPU. Having the firmware "handle it" and adjust dynamically is absolutely pure and unadulterated bullcrap. This functionality should be standard on every GPU and not something you have to pay a ton of extra money for on a limited-edition GPU that you can only get your hands on if you are lucky and willing to blow a huge wad of money on. I really love this GPU for very obvious reasons, but it really pisses me off how low the bar has been set by the "leaders" of the industry. I don't love how absurdly expensive it is and that I have to pay extra for what should be normal firmware control. Yes, a big part of the cost is the hardware, I totally get that part.

It doesn't help that most of the gamer kids either don't know or don't care that what is being offered to them is castrated trash. This is the same scenario that has ruined laptops and it's sad that the same baloney is slowly ruining desktops.

A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Nope. That didn't work. I don't care about the feature because it's actually kind of stupid, but it bugs me that I don't know why its broken. I Google searched the snot out of it and can't find anything. It's like seeing something in Device Manager with a bang on it because no driver is installed. Everything works normally and it doesn't matter until you see it and then it drives you nuts wanting it to go away or get fixed even though it shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things. You know it's broken and that much matters even though it doesn't affect anything you actually care about.

I know what you mean. it's like you wish you never seen it in the first place. And now its hella damn annoying!

There is voltage control.....It's called a slider! ROTFL! Yeah Right!
I'm still trying to see if that slider makes a difference now.

With your FE, have you been able to kill off a bunch of folks in say TS/TSE/FS/FSE/PR?

It doesn't look promising for the Gaming notebook enthusiast if this info is correct. The gamer kids will be happy whatever Nvidia throw in their faces. A multitude of crippled so called high end mobile cards in an amount we have never seen before (same SKU names but in different flavours).

I have my benchmarking on "hold" right now since my GPU is stuck at PCIE 3.0 x8 instead of the full x16. My EVGA Nu Audio card card doesn't fit properly with the way this Extreme board is setup. Why the hell they went with this stupid Dimm.2 setup is beyond me. So completely useless IMO. The KPE has a really thick backplate and it extends into the way of my x1 slot and forced me to put my audio card into my only other x16 slot.

External DAC/AMP is on the way to solve this and move on. I refuse to use onboard audio in the meantime lol.

It works but using the default LN2 for above reasons. I will go to that vBIOS once I get my new external audio.

You’ve gotta go back in to “Msconfig then “system” enable the futureMark services to run at startup. Or else that FPS estimate thing won’t work in 3Dmark.

So stupid lol. These apps force you to run their stuff at startup.

That’s a good 50% more speed over my 2080Ti in Port Royal!

Well, the solution sucks but it is nice to know the answer. I disable startup on all non-essential service bloat and only manually run what needs to be run when it needs to run. But, it's good to know it works when you let Windows run willy-nilly in full bloat mode. I suppose most gamer kids do that. Thank you. I can now take this off my list of irksome problems that do not matter. Problem solved. Just ran a stock Time Spy to confirm it.

I am a level 22/39 in Cyberpunk 2077. Still doing mostly all side missions. I really enjoy the game! I feel bad for the console guys, I really do. But I had a great launch day with CB77. It runs great on my system. I have started using this pistol, it deals a lot of damage too. I run it suppressed with a red dot and while sneaking I can take guys out usually with just a single shot to the head. So the game has become very very fun.

    Glad it worked!

I am the exact same way, I disable everything in startup I’m super OCD about performance. To make things worst, applications like Steam, and Origin have a few system startup services that automatically run once they’re installed. And once you disable them, it actually breaks the application and you can’t launch games properly.

It’s almost like they force you to run everything at startup. If I was an idiot, my computer would be a clogged turd with how these applications and windows run things. lol.

31/51 working on side missions. You have to do them all before you start the near end of the main mission else you can't go back to do them later. So the game says.

Man I tried that and kept getting killed! :D Which pistol? I shoot them and they just turn around and get gangster about it and 1 shot kill me with a lightning shot. :D

Ill let you know what i'm running when I get back in game.

No because I didn't win the VRAM lottery. I can only do +180 max core with +500 vram (650 max RAM for benching, +600 max normal use with +150 core), and +135 core/+500 RAM for Call of Duty/MW/Warzone. So I just keep it at 135/500 usually. It's on the stock cooler anyway even though all the thermal pads and hotspots have been replaced with Thermalright Odyssey 1.5mm pads on both sides.

I can get above 14700 Port Royal score at +180/+650 but that memory clock is not stable enough. I'm limited a lot by the memory clock on the scores, as well as the ambients as I am not in a cool environment nor do I like cold weather.

I can't flash the 1000W Kingpin bios but I can go up to 600W or so anyway with the shunt mod.

Yes I finally can take out some people with a single shot. The pistol does like 89-115 damage with extra critical damage applied with my suppressor. I have leveled up mostly towards pistols usage. I am a level 23/41 now. I have 44.5 hours in the game and still feel like I am barely scratching the surface haha. GOG app says I am 11% complete. Very fun game! Plenty of things to do! It’s stable mable too! I run through on like a 6 hour session with my 7980XE at 4.8/3.2 mesh and my 2080Ti at 2,115/16,200 and it’s a great experience!

Oh and I just ALT+F4 out of CB77 and still didn’t see what pistol I was using lol. I did however get that really cool suppressed 50 cal from Panama though. Oh, AND SHE KISSED ME!! Lol. My character is dressed so ridiculously too and pretty darn ugly in a mirror, I feel for the poor girl Panama haha.

Aw man, I was thinking you hit the 15K mark already and was getting higher. Well keep up the good work, i'm sure you will hit 15K when you decide to like the cold for a few hours. :)

I don't even overclock to play games. After benching is done it goes back to pretty much stock.

Okay, im on single shot now. I was using the wrong gun. I'm using the Widow Maker/Gorilla Arms/SPT32 Grad Sniper/Overture Hand Cannon. And them sneak attacks are now on point! I had to reset my points as I see where I totally invested in the wrong perks. Now things seem to be a bit better in combat.

    Humm, mine says zero percent.....

My Character is a female in a 1 piece body suit, while trying to make moves on Panam. :D I had to cut that short. Along with all the drinking and the nudity as @iunlock pointed out.

But all in all its a very fun game.

Honestly, that is one of the reasons I haven't really scoped it out. I've read about the vulgar sexual content and things like sex toys you collect as loot, etc. and I think I might be better off playing something else, LOL. It's not as bad and quite a bit you can say no to and move on. Just make sure you save a lot! else you make a serious mistake and can't recover without going back a few days in the story and start down a different path.
Waiting to see if they are going to have a cheater lobby. :D Just seen they have a money glitch and duplication glitch that hasn't gotten fixed. I also have not had to buy any sex toys, but you do have to talk to the owner of the shop a few times. And a lot has to do with your choices. Wonder what multiplayer will look like when it finally hits.

Well, that seems a little over the top. Selling it because of that? I don't think I have ever seen a PC or automotive radiator that had 100% flawless fins on it. What I see in the photo looks like normal manufacturing and you could easily make it look better (almost perfect) with some electronics tweezers. The price is the same as if you would buy it from EVGA, so I don't know that I would call it a "good deal" because it's not a good deal. It's a beast GPU, but the price is asinine and not a good value.

But, that fin thing wouldn't bother me in the least. What I find a lot more disturbing is the totally half-assed fan wiring. I mean, c'mon EVGA. $2K for a GPU with fan wiring that sucks? Mine are too short to even route the wiring neatly. If I were to keep the hybrid setup long term, the fans would have to be replaced with something that would look presentable because the wiring is pretty skanky-looking. I improved it a little by rotating the fans, but it still sucks. EVGA could have (and should have) had fans made with wiring that was exactly the right length and routed in an impeccable manner for a $2K flagship GPU. They also should have put quick-disconnects on the hoses and a drain/fill port on the radiator for such an expensive kit. The cooling system components on it are low-end consumer-grade, not flagship quality.
I figured as much. Most of what we read is sensationalized rather than factual. I don't think honest journalism exists anywhere.

But, the concept itself is still pretty unacceptable. An unfortunate sign of the times we live in, and the game devs have to know kids (teens and younger) are going to be playing it no matter what the rating is. It says a lot about the values (or actually lack thereof) of the game devs. I'm not sure I want to provide them with financial support, but that's just me. If I were into that sort of thing it's available for free, LOL. I bet the game would be just as great (even better) without it.

I think you had better watch some actually game play videos of normal people playing and not the ones trying to get their rocks off. :D

It's no worse than GTA Series, but if you didn't play that, then your right. You wont like this one.

Yes, I tried GTA and stopped partially for the same reason but also because I do not care for the game genre in general. I could not do many of the popular titles like The Witcher series, Fallout series, Sleeping Dogs, Watchdogs or Skyrim for the same reason. But, strategy games are even worse. I lose interest too quickly unless it is a linear run and gun campaign style shooter game. My gaming interests are very narrow. I lose interest and become bored very quickly with most other genres. I do best with no storyline, just endless action, like DOOM and Left for Dead games. Start shooting and end shooting.

I am kind of the same way with movies. If things slow down too much and it gets bogged down with dialog and storyline too much I'm done and ready to find something else to do.

Well at least you know what you like and you know what you want to play. I really am open to whatever looks interesting. As for PC games, I judge them by their cover more than I should. But I will play whatever looks cool in the screenshots lol.

I really like Cyberpunk 2077, but I totally agree with you. kids will be playing this one for sure. I was in Walmart yesterday, and I saw piles of Cyberpunk 2077 copies in the glass case. And I can already imagine a kid asking his parents to buy that for him. I mean, the cover looks less threatening than GTA does. It just looks like an ordinary game.

But we’ve had games like this before. I remember being 12 years old and I got the game BMX XXX, and this was like a BMX bicycle game, but you would unlock achievements that were videos of naked women, you could even be a naked women riding one of the bicycles.

I know if I was 12, I’d want Cyberpunk lol!

Haha! I was thinking the same thing...like Where's Waldo, but rather Where's the Hardware? Nice pics @Papusan.

@Mr. Fox, yea I hear ya and completely understand. Inappropriate content and language seems to be the common trend with most of these games. It really doesn't need it and IMO it would be just as good. Like I've said in the earlier reply, I cringe at the fact that kids are playing this and I bet most of the parents don't even realize the content that's in these games. Gee whiz... And people wonder what's wrong with our youth and society? *face palm.*

It's unfortunate that all the stuff of the fallen world is what sells... money, money, money, greed and click bait at all costs... - Nothing new under the Sun eh?

Despite the content in these Titles, the game play, graphics and physics is what I'm after, but yea not wanting to spend $60 is understandable on a game..

As far as other reviewers over exaggerating, that's very common too, click bait galore; however, when it comes to talking about the stuff in cyberpunk the truth outweighs the click bait. I mean you could stand in most areas in the game, look around and see junk lol... let alone at the beginning of the game when you fancy up your character with the option to give them certain parts? So yea... unfortunately the truth outweighs the click bait with this one.

It's still a fantastic game if you can ignore the needless stuff in there like with other titles...

@tps3443 , lol could you imagine? "Mommy mommy all I want for Christmas is Cyberpunk 2077, pretty please..."
    - Mom walks into the store... oh look there it is... just another 'video game.'
    - Kid: Customizing his/her character at the beginning of the game..
    - Mom walks in "Oh my what are you doing?! Turn that off."
    - Kid: You bought it for me ... that's not fair ...

Like what @Mr. Fox said... out of all the radiators I've ever seen, I don't think there is one without minor flaws... Something seems fishy with that ad. To sell it for bend rad fins? :vbconfused: Who knows...

    @iunlock

    @Mr. Fox

He is NOT selling that Kingpin 3090 because of bent fins lol.

You guys are seeing things haha lol.

He said he’s selling it because he got lucky and picked up (2) other 3090’s, and that he doesn’t want to wait for Kingpin waterblocks to come out. So he’s just selling it because he can’t put a block on it. “Due to no Kingpin waterblocks being available whatsoever”

He says it came with bent fins from evga, and that it was so minor, he didn’t care enough to try for an exchange.

I was wondering more about the quality of the card myself, but he is right. No Kingpin blocks as of yet. Sure hope they dont wait till the card is obsolete to start making them.

I must have read it too fast on my phone earlier... when I glanced at " Came with 2.5 bent pins on the radiator. Didn't care enough to make a hassle over it...," I thought that was a part of the reason that he was selling it... nevertheless, I do see that he replied to what the core does in the later replies... all good.

BTW @tps3443 , how far are you on CB2077 now?

If we go by their past KP launches, the block arrives 1 to 2 months after the official launch of the card. Obviously, this isn't a normal launch cycle or year for that matter. Truth be told I have only seen the blocks sold separately, never the full Hydro Copper KP set they advertise.

After having taken apart my 2080 Ti HC for cleaning and seeing how absurdly complicated they made it, including using security/anti-tamper screws to try to block me from being able to do that, I think I would prefer an alternative from OptimusPC or EKWB instead of an EVGA Hydro Copper block. It should have been super easy to clean and reassemble and it was just a huge pain in the ass. I also just recently found out that will not sell me an o-ring kit for it. The support person told me that parts are only made available internally for in-warranty repairs. That kind of stuff just... don't let me get started. If looks could kill, they'd all be dead right now, LOL.

I am 23/43 I think. Have not played today yet or yesterday. I’ve been a little busy. But I am gonna play tonight for sure.

I have a bunch of really cool guns that I dumped off at my apartment wayyy earlier in the game, as I was too low of a level to even use them. I just remembered that, and I am gonna go back and get them all. They’ve been sitting there for a while.

Anyways, I’m doing all side quest. Killing gang members, and just enjoying the game. I’m doing the main quest rather slowly. I’m gonna try to complete everything in the game though.

I also upgraded my Cyberdeck chip to the MK.2 with 9GB of ram. So it’s nice! I really want the double jump. But I’m generally pretty poor in the game most of the time lol. Usually always have less than 15K lol 97% of the time.

I wonder who makes their blocks. I know it is not EKWB, so that leaves Barrow (who does use security screws, at least on my Asus 2080 TI block) or Bykski as the ODM. With that said, that sucks, I have never noticed they used security screws. To use those on a water block is the dumbest thing ever to do, since most custom water users clean out their blocks every year. Thank you for the heads up.

Yeah, they were really sneaky about it. They put one security screw underneath the silver aluminum trim so you don't notice it until you go to take it apart for cleaning. And, the other challenge is the plexi top with the GPU name that has the RGB lighting. That is glued in with some strong double-stick tape and it is a real bear to get loose without damaging the plexi lens. I used several thin and flexible double-edged razor blades and carefully worked them around the sides a few millimeters at a time until I could get it lifted enough to slip a credit card between the plexi lens and the metal frame around it. It took me more time farting around with that than anything else just so I did not scratch or break it. There are a number of screws underneath it that have to be removed and the RGB strips have to come out to access the screws. The person that designed it was either on drugs or really sadistic to make it that way on purpose.

Edit: Oh, almost forgot... the silver badge on the bottom corner below the power connections... that is also glued on with strong tape like the plexi top and they put a screw underneath it, LOL. So, you have to carefully remove that to access the screw, then clean off the back to make it stick again. That is assuming it comes off without tearing up the adhesive too much, in which case you would have to either use double-stick Scotch tape or hot glue to refasten it.

I was really upset with what a pain in the butt it was to do something that should have been super easy.

Yea stuff like that makes me throw rep points for them overboard as it's a scummy move to not offer simple things like O-rings etc... I mean come on. It's completely unnecessary to pull that sleazy move onto their loyal customers.

EVGA is no longer on the top of my list starting from the 20 series as MSI and Asus cards have been quite amazing with their bins. As for the hydro copper, the truth is, it's not that actually good in terms of flow rate and cooling as we think it is. It looks cool, sure... built well and like a tank...sure.. but with companies like Optimus now in the game, they have proven to outshine everyone with their performance, quality and attention to detail.

I'm going Optimus blocks for the GPU for sure. All their other line of products that I'm using are superb. I also like EK blocks over Bitspower as I think EK products are better built with more quality materials from my experience.

    #1 Optimus
    #2 EKWB
#3 ___________, For non desperate applications and whatever is on sale? :D

Collectively as a small niche community that we are, we need to stick together and not support used car salesman sleaze ball tactics and give extra attention in supporting companies with the least amount of greed as possible.
