10.3 Catalyst beta leaked!

Seems ok here, what flash version are you using ? Tried with/without the new beta one ?

 

I was on flash player 10.1 v1 and it was choppy, I tried the new 10.1 v3 and it was still the same , so i dropped from catalyst 10.3 beta to 10.1 and the you tube video`s play fine.

 

mm, odd. Did you install the drivers properly ? (using driver sweeper etc)

Also did you try watching the video in a difference browser ? Lots of variables

!0.3 and the two videos you posted seem ok here, so its probably a conflict on your end, or a weird 4330+10.3 issue.

 

I have switchable graphics and if i use drive sweeper i loose the HD4330 from device manger it vanishes no error or nothing even after a re-boot and i have to install the stock ati driver to get it back.

I just installed 10.3 again and the youtube video corruption is back

 

If its the first driver that does this problem might be an issue with the beta.

 

I just installed flash player 10 , not one of the betas and youtube is playing fine with catalyst 10.3 at least i think , but flash 10 does not have any video acceleration.

It looks like any of the 10.1 flash players are causing my problems v1,v2 or v3, the certified v10 plays youtube videos fine.

 

Yea thats the version im using too. So i guess its a conflict between the beta's. Depends how much you want/need video acceleration. Official release of 10.3 should be out in about 30ish days. Hopefully the issue will be fixed with those.

 

ok its been more then 10min but it works fine for me.

 

These drivers GREATLY enhance and OpenGL performance, Google sketchup literally doubled performance, maybe even more.

 

I just have 2 questions

1. Will 10.3 work on my HP dv7 with a HD4650
2. What is the best link to download it from.

No problems here on a 4850.
Seems stable after a 4hr session no hiccups.

 

Yes fullscreen gaming works on my mobility HD 3410 now! Finally rid of those black bars!

Not official but I would guess mid of march.

 

Works great with my 4850's and my wifes 3870's

 

After using these drivers for a bit, I've noticed that they actually decreased performance on many games, such as Borderlands and UT2004. They lowered frame rates, and I noticed the textures weren't rendered as well.

The black screen freezing problem also came back, and left me with no other choice but to revert back to 9.12 hotfix.

Using HD4650 on a Vaio FW, just a heads up for some people.
Probably only due to the beta, but ATI won't support Sony on the newer catalyst drivers

 

Has anyone tested or benchmarked 10.3 on the ATI 3450?

 

Tested and working fine on a 3450 , no benchmark though. Never benchmarked that thing.

 

It is not ATI fault, Sony doesn't want ATI support. They opted out of Catalyst with Toshiba and Panasonic

 

Question for my peace of mind: Before installing these, my card is recognised (correctly) as a HD5650, after installing them it's just a "5000 series" - is that normal?

ATI is supposed to be supporting notebooks this month , anybody know when the release date is ???

Yeah .. we'll see if there's anything major from the preview. Nice move though.

 

I'm looking forward to these and hope they have fixed a few things from the Beta release....my card seemed to run quite a bit hotter under the beta release.

 

Release date is March 24th apparently. Lot's of performance gain for the 5series owner,

"Catalyst 10.3a Preview will contain future Eyefinty 6 updates and an Alien vs. Predator optimization which the Catalyst 10.3 WHQL posting does not have".

 

Basically what hes saying is the 10.3a driver they're releasing tomorrow is slightly newer than the one that will be officially released on the 24th which will have gone through WHQL.

Basically the WHQL might be slightly more stable, 10.3a might be slightly faster in a few things.

The 10.3a driver looks pretty decent if it turns out to be stable

 

The only great performance gains I see is in Dirt2 for the 5xxx series, like 30%. Other than than, it's like 5% gain. That's nothing. The only way it's gonna mean anything is if you already have high fps, but if you do, then you don't really care about getting a few more.

With my 5830 the betas changed Portal from a bit stuttery at 1920x1080 and high details to quite playable, including 2xAA and 2xAF. I'm looking forward to the updated Catalyst and hopefully working hardware flash video acceleration. The video craps out currently, but normal H.264 video files accelerated with DXVA seem to be fine, so I'm not sure where the problem lies. Not enough for me to roll back and give up the performance of the 10.3s though... I'll just disable hardware flash acceleration.

 

I have been using these for a couple of weeks - no major problems.

I get 55fps (min 29)
Game settings:
1920 x 1200
2x AA
Ultra Settings
Post Processing Medium (No dx11)

Even though the settings are a bit lower, their proximity to your monster desktop makes me feel good.

 

Has anyone seen the 10.3a?

Supposed to be released today.

 

So when is 10.3 going to be downloadable from the amd/ati website and not just these leaked beta`s

 

WHQL end of March.

But the 10.3a are newer and faster than the WHQL. The new optimizations did not make it in time for the WHQL certification.

If you want performance recommended to get the 10.3a. AMD's Catalyst manager claimed it will be available today, but I don't see them.

Hmm , says my switchable HD 4330 is incompatible, but the pre-relese 10.3 worked fine, what is wrong.

 

i lost about 400 3dmark06 points with this driver,also says that its running a HD 5000 series :s

 

Hey, could someone upload the notebook graphics version for 64 bit systems? It recognizes my Sony and says its not compatible

 

That's because Sony opted out of ATI's mobility driver program, you'll have to wait til someone figures out a way around it

 

It stops before downloading the actual driver, if someone could upload the folder where the driver is downloaded, i could prolly get around it.

 

Oh, so it's just locked out via the downloader rather than the installer? That's going to make it a whole lot easier, then
