do you have the stock wifi card? because those are known to have issues with turning on/off. if it turn on just go to device manager, disable it then re-enable it and see if it works then.

How did you do that memory timing tweaking?

Well remember when using the integrated graphics in enduro the frame buffer is still copied to memory before being outputted to the display so it can't hurt.
Also it increased my CPU score.
I have taken my 1600 and 1333 kits to 1866 too lol. -

I did this a few days ago:
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16F2 score: P23006 3DMarks
just for fun, im not stable at these clocks -

Yeah I did better too:
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2820QM Processor,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16F2 score: P23793 3DMarks
But like you said, not stable for games.
Looks like you need to tweak your CPU, memory and GPU some moar! -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Prolly yes but also I'm using 12.7 which have a lower scores in benchmarks mate.
And about tweaking ram, I don't have a clue.
My CPU is already OCed, unfortunately I can't go past 102,94 bclk otherwise it will not be stable.
Ram is 1600 for now, gpu doesn't like high OC at all on core, VRAM is fine at 1500 tho. -

P5874 on stock 8.951.6.0 drivers:
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3720QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P5874 3DMarks
That look ok for my new system out of the box with updates and drivers from disc:
Horize P150EM Clevo Notebook Intel Ivy Bridge i7-3720QM 2.6Ghz, AMD 7970M 2GB Graphics Card GDDR5, IC Diamond 24 Carat on CPU+GPU, 16GB(4x4GB) 1600Mhz RAM, Crucial M4 128GB SSD mSATA 500/175 Mbs Read/Write, 500GB 7200rpm Hard Disk Drive, Bluray Reader / DVD Burner Combo, Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, Bigfoot Killer N 1103 Wireless Card, 95% Gamut 1920x1080 Premium Matte Display -
Finally attempted to OC. Didn't really seem to affect my temps but I haven't stressed it gaming or with more demanding benchmarks.

I will Overclock my card as soon as I get my Prolimatech pk-1 for a repaste on the GPU cant wait -
Just got P5898 in 3d mark 11 with stock clocks on 7970m.

Gonna overclock to 1ghz/1.5ghz vram and post those scores. I have already tested that overclock on games and it runs stable.
[Update]
Just overclocked and got P6729.

With a GTX680M at 1Ghz/1,2Ghz the score is about P7600point on 3DMARK 11
There is abount 1000point increase of a 7970M -

Second, your numbers are off, and it's also more interesting to look at the GPU score instead of the total score when comparing GPUs.
Third, take a look at the combined score of both cards.
Also don't compare stock to overclock... Now that's a nice 7970m score: AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Genuine Intel(R) CPU 0 @ 2.40GHz,Alienware M18xR2 score: P7216 3DMarks

I totally agree with Slick. Lets just stick to the 7970m in this thread. You never know when things might get out of your hands. The last thing we want right now is another closed thread. The thread says 7970m benchmarks and so we will not deviate from it and stick to it. Simple.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but for Clevo users with 7970m having problems with dGPU not utilizing 90%+ because of Enduro. Would it be okay to disable HD4000 via the "manage" control centre found in the properties of "computer" hence enduro can't bother with 7970m's utilization?
If that idea is no good will AMD's drivers def fix this utilization problem??? -
Kingpinzero ROUND ONE,FIGHT! You Win!
Clevo needs to fix enduro problems by hardware side, but also some people say that the way it's built doesn't really leave a chance to mods.
What I don't understand is why it works perfectly fine for some users and not at all for others, leaving me wonder if it's an user fault.
Anyway I wish I could bench at 1ghz..those scores are impressive guys! But also im happy cos with the scores above I broke my personal record, never thought to reach ~6700 on a sandy bridge machine, that puts me in competition with some good ivy CPUs out there -
Guys, I've worked for some hours here and have made a complete consolidated summary of the heat issues many many users are having with this GPU (especially me), along with a couple unique solutions. Just about anyone with a Clevo 150 or 170 model can benefit! If this post isn't allowed here go ahead and remove it, but I am serious about this and would like to help as much as I can and for people to see it.

This thing runs everything beautifully. I get about 1/2 the framerates of ny desktop. Love it.

Just got my new rig yesterday. It fairs quite well, though not as high as our top scores here. I have to overvolt in order for it to be stable at 1000/1500.

nice Vantage score!
I have a Clevo x7200, Clevo D900f, Clevo x8100 and a Elitebook 8740w, would the Radeon HD 7970m work in any of my laptops?

Hi there.
At last I managed to install the 12.7 beta drivers properly( I hope) and ran some benchmarks here is 3d mark 11 on 1050/1550 stock clocks
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P6791 3DMarks
almost 7000 on gpu there
And vantage on the same clocks
The 12.5 stock driver s from the cd let me go higher with the clocks- up to 1060/1560 but on 12.7 3d mark would abort at these.
for comparrison here is 1060/1560 on the stock drivers.
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P6732 3DMarks
But still I get higer score on the 12.7 with lower cloks
But so far I can tell gameplay on 12.7 feels a bit more smooth in games even in battleifeld 3. The performance still isnt best and you still cant lower settings to get higher fps but those dips arent so signifficant as on the 12.5Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -

Congratz on the R4...make sure you OC the CPU if you haven't already done so...enable extreme mode in the bios and go 41,40,39,39Last edited by a moderator: May 6, 2015 -

However I reverted back to the stock drivers, I tryied to play a few more games and mi second tought is that the stock ones still perform better. I think the 12.7's need to be coplete with the new intel driver to work properlly. Hopefully it'll be soon -
hi guys, who do you think about these results?
is the first a failure? I usually get this score
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3820QM Processor,Alienware M17xR4 score: P8756 3DMarks
AMD Radeon HD 7970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3820QM Processor,Alienware M17xR4 score: P6308 3DMarks
with alienware r4 intel 38 20 qm amd core 950 memory 1400
thanks and sorry for my english -
The first is a glitched score. If you look at the detailed scores, one of the FPS is abnormally high. Your graphics score on the second is a little odd if it is OC'd at 950/1400.
My 150EM at 950/1500 with the 3610QM gets this: http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3804107 -
.
I also OC'd the cpu already but it can only get as high as 40/39/38/38. It can get as hot as 97*C if I don't set manual fan via HWinfo. I plan to repaste both this weekend to see if I can improve it at all. Also my 7970M idle at 56-57*C which is weird.
-
so my score is to bad ????

Not too bad bro, a little down, did it throttle?
