All cards are different so my clocks could lock yours up. Yu want to start small increments, watch your temps, and see if game likes OC...some don't. Crysis seemed to not like OC but again, may be the clocks I used. YMMV.

650/900 works really well for me on my HDX. Stable as can be. Witcher is my game of choice right now, and it runs great. Ran AoC very well while I played, just decided the game ain't my cup of tea. 9280 3dMark06 using 174.74 driver. Wish I could find a driver that doesn't reset clocks when I reboot though...kind of annoying.

Yeah who cares, XG is the best drivers out there for us notebook owners, well for desktop owners too. Nothing can touch it´s peformance and IQ.

Awesome, thank you Brainer! Two more questions, if you don't mind-

    1. I'm sure they Tweak the drivers, (hence the name), but it's not crazy tweaking that would cause higher temps, or unstable performance, correct?

    2. Do you have a link? I couldn't seem to find anything that wasn't Guru3D related.

    Thanks man!

just said that they got banned, never said anything about the drivers being bad.

kgann: use what ever drivers work best for you and your system. what might be good for some may not be best for you. you'll just have to play around and see.

was over at xg a little bit ago. waiting for semp to do the 177.41's. i see he is running them for his personal system.

im an hp owner as well. dv9740us. and your right about the over clocking, but the new drivers run way better on the dv series than the 169.09 and 04's. like everyone is saying...they are better optimized. powering it back on and will let you know a few frame rates with the stock setting of 500/400/1000.

funny thing was dondadah88, i crashed it trying to convert it to a gtx card....lol and had to blind flash it back to stock. lol

lol, nah not really. you only corrupt the bios strings for your card which is part of the main bios. when you re flash the main bios it over writes the bogus strings for your card. but before flashing, you will need...
1: usb floppy or thumb drive
    2: crisis recovery disk.
3: your current bios file which has to be renamed to bios.wph
4: the keycode to activate your blind bios flash. (ours was fn+b)
5: listen to the beeps. wait till your computer shuts off. then turn it back on. and your back in business.

but since i dont have all of the stuff for my gateway (bios file). flashing the bios is.....
    NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

    :D :D :D

yeah, you know me..will take one for the notebook community just to see if it can be done.. :D

no need. xg's make it all one file. just click to install and it will pretty much do the rest.

Downloading the Tweakforce XG drivers. What modding, exactly to they do? Are there any .Inf's to replace or such?

I'm guessing I still need to do the "Uninstall, reboot, reinstall" method, correct?

That notebook will handle any game you throw at it. With the T8300, it is a very nice machine. You could also look at picking up one of the P-6860FX's at Best Buy, and throw in a T8300 from eBay. May save a little money. ;)

^ what he said, because of the physics aspect. But yes, so far I have noticed a huge difference, one i cant beleive though. DOW DC was giving me between 20-60FPS before with the T5450, and now with the X7800 it was between, get ready.

    160-460FPS, WTF

erm yes. i was stunned with your FPS in DOW first time actually, i was Like WTF :p but now it sounds good :D Since DOW relies on Single core speed i guess, well until SOulstorm came out, all others had multicore probs.
