    Hi.

Have you tried the DOX Optimized 185.20 , they are really fast!

Though i don't play games on my Q210 as i find the keyboard cramped, I just like to see what it can do.

    John.

Thank you for the link, but i think i'll stay with standard drivers :)
So, is overclocked 9200gs comparable at least to a standard clocked 8600gs?

    Hi.

I thought a p210 had an Intel GPU , is it a mistake in your signature?

    Hi.

So does your p210 have a matt or glossy screen as a few people were put off the Q210 by the glossy screen, but the UK p210 has an matt screen but an Intel GPU.

My p210 has a matt screen. I chose it because i don't like glossy screenies very much.
Here the p210 is sold with two different configurations:
one with pentium dual core t3200, 160gb HDD, Intel x4500mhd and the other one, which is mine.
    Bye :)

PS. You heatsinks must not making as good a contact as the one on my Q210

Ha ha thats an old trick! Have you tried nvidia's newest 178.28 driver. It is quite fast. I bumped my score by 500 points alone at stock clocks from around 3000 to over 3500 with it. Anyways good luck with hitting 3000

Well, currently I'm using DOX's 185.20 and I think they are by far the fastest driver at this time.

That a real good improvement for a driver upgrade.

Does the p210 have an MxM slot useful to upgrade graphic card?

They do indeed. The speeds in my sig are what I achieved. Seem very stable and quite cool too. Also it is the latest "official" driver from nvidia so can be picked up off their site no modded inf's needed. Check the compatible list of graphics cards tho first on the webpage, where you can download it

    Hi.

Xp does seem to get higher scores than Vista, I got 2940 points in Vista and 2994 points in Xp with the same driver and clocks.

Only 6 points away from the magic 3000 points.

Is your card completely stable at such a high OC? Even without a further OC new drivers released in the future will push you over the "magic" score :D

Fortunately you have the 9200M GS with GDDR3 technology, so its a better performer than the DDR2 variant.

Seeing as I got to 720MHz/860MHz and all other with this card have managed better overclocks  I would start with an OC of 670MHz/810MHz so you can cut to the chase. I would also suggest searching for an overclock guide here and you must understand the risks of overclocking before hand.

What are safe temps to be reaching? Also, what do you use to overclock? Shall i just do it through nvidia itself?

IMO highest temp you should allow it to go is 80C, but can withstand up to 90C. Also, I overclock through nVidia's program nTune. It's easy to use so I just decided to use it rather than using a 3rd party program.

It seems even easier with a 1st party program and I was suprised it worked with both W7 64bit and Vista/XP 32bit.

This talking of temperatures has jogged my memory about idle temperatures I asked you earlier. You seem to have a better cooling system than me with your max temperatures but your idle temperature seems to be 10-15C higher than mine

I really recommend not using the Tune System application. You will get better results if you just put the time and effort into overclocking the good ol' fashion way :)

Search for the guide here on NBR, its pretty straight forward.

Is there anything specific on the X460? I am not too sure how far to push the OCing...

Also, when i use DOX's 185.20 i lose brightness control, so what driver should i use?

I have the same problem with the brightness. I'm considering switching to 185.05 in hope that it will fix the problem.
